From Nick Wallis' Genderblog:

On 6 August 2026, BBC Three Counties local radio station, which covers Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, ran a half hour current affairs chat on the Jonathan Vernon-Smith Show. The midday item was posed as a question: “Do you think it’s right to tell transgender people which toilet to use?”

The first contributor put on air to talk about that question were Robin Moira White, a male barrister who claims to be a woman. Robin advocates for men to be able to use women’s toilets and does so himself. The next guest was Nora Padilla, a full-time policy officer at the campaign group TransActual, which also advocates for men to be able to use women’s toilets. Then we heard from “Michelle” from Watford. Like Robin, Michelle is a man who claims to be a woman and – surprise surprise – advocates for male use of female facilities....

And the story goes on. And gets more and more damning for the BBC. The useless, ridiculously activist, taxpayer-supported BBC... Still.

BBC Gender Apology Row

Now they’re in trouble. Sex Matters. (l-r) Dr Helen Joyce, Maya Forstater and Fiona McAnena I am not a defund the BBC sort, but I can understand the frustrations of those who are. I have spok…

I'd be equally interested in the thinking of male people who go out of their way to find the one quiet corner of the internet focused on women's sex based rights and try to recruit those women as supporters by seeking approval based on explaining how they do the wonderful, man-going-totally-out-of-their-way, exceptional thing of respecting a bit of women's rights sometimes when it suits them. With the obvious subtext of I'm lovely so give me access to women's spaces and stop minding about the women I distress, harm and exclude when I use them and their spaces to meet my own needs. And in this case a little side order of 'when you don't pat my head and rush to patronise and indulge me, I feel justified then in harming you and can quiet my conscience about it'.

Lovely.

Unlike most trans people, I haven’t experienced any harassment in public.

Which in itself makes you unlike every woman on the planet, I suspect. Except ones who live in a cellar all their lives and never emerge into the light of day except for the funerals of close family and dear friends – only to be told by some random bloke to "smile" when he sees them.

That your close friends say you pass is meaningless, and I'll tell you for why. It's because if they told you that you didn't, they would by that utterance cease to be your close friends. You are in the position of someone back at the beginnings of the internet who started his own Livejournal blog and then shut out anyone who disagreed with him or pointed out a different slant on anything. Pretty soon he was sure that everyone in the entire universe agreed with him, and it came as a nasty shock when he went out into the real world and someone said "no, that's rubbish and here's the evidence." (I knew such a one. He's grown up a bit now thank God.)

It's like asking my friends does my bum look big in this.

They're friends. They'll lie.
