We buy loads of this stuff as we are big peanut butter consumers in my household. Not any more though after seeing this policy. Imagine being a GC person working for this company 🙁As ever, their definition of "inclusion" centres firmly around one protected characteristic, and to hell with anyone who thinks sex matters in certain situations.

Can anyone recommend a good crunchy, oil free peanut butter with just just a sprinkling of salt sold in 1kg tubs 🙏🏻

I usually buy the M&S one which is just peanuts, nothing else added at all. I get it from Ocado. Both those businesses may be seen as problematic too, I know.

Activism from companies is so tiresome. Even if it is stuff I agree with, it just turns me off. It should go without saying that they have legally-compliant policies that protect all their staff, whatever their beliefs.

Oh no you're joking, that's so disappointing.

I absolutely love their sweet and salty peanut butter and it took me a really long time to find a sweetened peanut butter that was actually good ingredients wise and tasty.

Thanks, that pinch of salt makes a difference, so I do like it. I've had Proper Nutty before, which is really good and comes in a metal can so more environmentally friendly, but it is pricey and sometimes hard to find.

Id love to see their maternity policy, paternity policy, bereavement policy and sickness policy to see if they are all as generous.

Whole Earth has salt, but I don’t like that as much as Meridian so I’m guessing their nuts aren’t as good. Like you Pop and Nut is the favourite. Depressing.

I agree with you. If a company is trying to sell me something I'd advise them not to push any agenda. It's a terrible look. Ditto asking me to make a donation at the check out. I've got my charitable giving sorted thanks. (That's a whole other area of ridiculous campaigns/misuse of funds).

There are virtue signallers all over P&N's post on Linkedin about this, so P&N probably think they've done a great job here. What they might not realise is that many people will read their post and won't comment (there is at least one comment saying they can't believe people post their bigotry when their name and employment details are visible 🙄), but will quietly turn away from brands that engage in this type of activism.

It is so annoying when brands act like this but it is up to them if they want to lose customers, looking at you, Wickes, M&S and Oxfam.

I buy Lidl or Aldi peanut butter in 1kg tubs as it is 100% peanuts with no palm oil. It doesn't have salt added but I always have it with marmite.
