The app used AI to confirm users were female. It was very clear. Anyone who joined it, was clear it was their sex being checked. Anyone who believed TWAW wouldn’t have been comfortable in that space. The pressure (fuss) came from people who couldn’t be users. Your initial assertion was that there would be no fuss if users were getting what they wanted. That’s patently untrue.

I think your contributions are really valuable to demonstrate the kind of mental gymnastics that have to be performed to maintain your position.

The AI failed to pick up that it was a trans woman. It was a manual review by the owner that actually picked it up. Before that, non-white women had been complaining that the AI registered them as male. The AI never really worked to keep the site to biological women.

You keep saying that people signing up knew their sex was being tested. They did not. They knew their face was being tested to see if they looked masculine or not. That is why a male was ruled in, but women were ruled out.

The sexes are male and female. Explain again how users of an app heavily marketed as ‘female only’ (female being a sex) as oppose to ‘woman-only’ (possibly by ‘gender’) would generally believe that it would include transwomen?

I think a sizeable number of the members wouldn't actually care if there were trans women, or fully support their presence. As long as they are also interested in meeting women. I don't think that a site that excluded trans women was a primary motivation for their core membership.

Well that is reality. Many people do believe it and the world has adapted to this belief. Sure you can use your social and political power to try and change things back, but to not acknowledge how things are is bordering on delusional. It's like this because people believe it.
