Ok, so I know the educated classes hate us and our Dear Leader, but she's really not doing herself any favours here...

<cough>

ETA, Damn, quote failed to post.
Some FWR regulars DO have female usernames.

Yep. And it’s never names like Maude or Maureen.

Or Edith.

ApplebyArrows · Today 13:10

I shall choose the stupidest, evillest interpretation of my opponent's words and thereby conclude that these words make them look evil and stupid.

There’s only one Edith!

I look forward to posters who have criticised us for believing propaganda to give a lecture to the yacht numpties for not fact checking and believing propaganda...

What’s next, “she deliberately named herself after a gay conversion therapist”? “Her walls are mouldy and it’s infected her brain”? The Greatest Hits album.

TBF I thought JKR was solely responsible for nuclear war and the coming alien invasion as well as the fall of the Roman Empire, Slavery, Colonisation of Australia etc etc.

Nostradamus predicted The Coming of JKR in his 57th quatrain, I think you’ll find.

onlytherain · Today 13:36

The Nazis lost the battle of Stalingrad. She is talking about winning. So clearly, if you insist on identifying one side of this "battle" with the Nazis, it would be WPATH and their followers. That would make the gender-critical side the Soviet Union. I doubt JKR identifies with her, so she is just saying that taking down WPATH would be a turning point.

Don’t forget that she personally released the first box hedge moths in the UK which have now made their way down to my garden and DECIMATED my box hedge.

Seething. That was not a euphemism btw.

CassOle · Today 13:48

So, Jade's attempt at pretending to be a GC poster who thinks that JKR is his/her leader lasted exactly one post.

Damn.

The mould one is so ridiculous. We all know it was patterned wallpaper but so many TRAs go on about it. But then lies are all they’ve got.

Omg yes. She goes out at night on her broomstick creating them. I saw evidence of this on the internet.

Totally true.

She mainly does it right on the England/Scotland border.

I saw her once in Sainsbury's. She was buying salt and sugar. I took a video I can share to prove she was signalling to others in code about her political affiliations.

To be fair on that occasion she was picking up some bits for me. She even picked up a bargain bucket on her way to mine.

After tea we planned which stretch of the motorway she was going to pothole next.

Unfortunately the KFC disagreed with her and the resulting fart created a 12 foot wide sinkhole at the end of my street as she headed off for an evening of pothole creating.

The neighbours still won't talk to me.

Thank you.
I'd read Antony Beevor's book about it, but would rather not compare myself to the Red Army!

Have you read A Woman in Berlin, by Marta Hillers/Anonymous?

No - do you recommend it? Sorry if you knew all about the siege already and didn’t need my lecture!

Have you read The Siege by Helen Dunmore? I read it many years ago and it has haunted me ever since.

There is a SwedishEdith on MN - no relation.

sheitani · Today 14:38

Oh dear, not this "argument" again.
Firstly, the fewer than 10 transsexual men killed by the Nazis were targeted because they were homosexual, nothing to do with being "trans". Heterosexual cross-dressers were not persecuted, in fact there are many photos of Nazis wearing women's clothing.
Secondly, the Jews, Roma, homosexuals, political prisoners etc. targeted by the Nazis all had to identify themselves with a symbol sewn onto their clothes. Yellow Star of David for Jews, purple triangle for homosexuals, and so on. There is no record of any such symbol for "trans" people, because there was no need for one; the Nazis did not target "trans" people.

But did you get coleslaw with the bargain bucket?

Pothoooles? (a la Lady Bracknell)
That's nothing, Daniel Radcliffe is now apparently Josef Fritzl.
It was bound to happen 😳

Mind you, I suspect he won't be the only one who'll be delighted to watch the Harry Potter tv series without him in it.

I fear for the news headlines of school exam results this summer! The level of debate from TRA gets worse and worse.

This is such a wild analogy. The Nazis were on the offence in the Battle of Stalingrad, making her side the Nazis in this analogy, and she chose a battle the attackers lost so soundly after committing so much to that it stopped their advance completely.

I think that is the point of the post. The Nazis attacked and failed. WPATH is on its uppers and the citadel of GC will triumph.

DeanElderberry · Today 17:26

DARVOtastic OP. I agree that Nazi analogies are best avoided, but I think most people understand about defensive campaigns.

She said she bought some but they forgot to put it in the bag.

I didn't believe her.
