Ok, so I know the educated classes hate us and our Dear Leader, but she's really not doing herself any favours here...

Can't. I'm not a vegetarian!

That’s ok, Emily brought enough word salad for everyone.

Uh huh, just like a lot of conservative supporters of critical gender ideology.

Edited

I'd say most people have a distaste for lives that are arranged entirely around sexual fetishes and other compulsive sexual behaviours.

Knock yourself out with all the sea lioning derailment again.

Get back to me when you’ve got something substantive to say.

Okay, then here goes:

The Nazis abused and experimented on queer people. Gender doctors abuse and experiment on queer kids. Thus, gender doctors are acting like Nazis. (Not saying they are Nazis, because that would be both ridiculous and libel. Just that they act like them in this one, particular matter.)

Shortshriftandlethal · Yesterday 10:47

EmilyinEverton · Yesterday 10:17

And GC people do not think that all queer people are degenerates. So why are you comparing the two?

GC people aren't anti trans? This is news.

Sources about MB and HJ believing that trans people existing is any kind of Jewish conspiracy? I'm not holding my breath, mind you.

Already posted upthread. Still misreading?

You're mistaken. GC people do believe trans people exist. Like, duh.

Suuuure they do…..

So who posted the 09:44 post in your name? You know, the post I literally quoted?

Maybe read my comment about the link which quotes my points.

Nobody denies that there are some people who, for whatever reason, have adopted a 'trans' identity. In the same way people know that some people are motorbike entusiasts, or are really into cos-play and superheroes in such a way, and to such an extent, that they arrange their lives around these specific passions or hobbies. People believe, like and identify with all sorts of things. nobody denies that.

Similarities:

"From the Nazis believing they were the victims of degeneracy and social contagion to their obsession with biological supremacy."

Ring any bells?

But we don't have an obsession with biological supremacy.

The complaints of woman are that men are physically stronger and psychologically more assertive (and therefore win more often) than women.

And of course you're way, way better than us at violence.

Jeez some people are stupid, and she brings them out into the open every time. Problem is, they’re too stupid to realise this.

@EmilyinEverton GC people aren't anti trans? This is news.

And theirin lies your problem. That it is news to you just proves that you don't listen.

I don't know anyone who wants any more from trans people than that they stay out of women only spaces, out of female category sport and clubs and off women only shortlists.

At least the OP bowed out (so far) when they realised their error. Emily, on the other hand…

It’s the usual twisting of being pro women = anti trans which isn’t true.

Ironically, it’s not that binary 😂

What is it with all these posters? They almost without exception have female names as part of their user names which regular MN users don't.

soddingspiderseason · Yesterday 11:14

I’m struggling with other people’s comprehension I think. Its absolutely clear from her words that she means that this is where the “war” about gender ideology turns. As the war by the Nazis turned at Stalingrad because the Russians dug in and defended the onslaught from the Nazis. It was the absolute turning point that defeated Hitler. Its clear what her analogy is. Gender Ideology has stretched itself too far (as the Germans did) and now the battle turns.

Specific to WPATH, you’d think it had reached the point of stretching itself too far when it included a chapter on Eunuch identity written in collaboration with CSA fetishists. But no, apparently that’s still not enough for TRAs to distance themselves from WPATH. Why?

Indeed. Perhaps because its become a religion/cult rather than a matter of personal choice. To speak against the belief system leads to heresy, hence anyone GC being a “witch”. You cannot have a rational discussion with people who are in the grip of deeply held religious views, and they will become more and more fervent to show their commitment to their faith.

To extend this beyond Emily’s Wikipedia history the Nazis had no objection to heterosexual cross dressing.

This is false.

"Queer Women, Gender-Nonconforming People, and Trans People
While the Nazis used Paragraph 175 to arrest and charge queer men, there was not a similar law that targeted other queer people. This does not mean that other queer people were not persecuted. The Nazis used several other laws and policies to target and punish people whose gender identity and sexuality did not conform with the party’s ideals. Paragraph 183, for example, was the German law against “causing a public disturbance with a lewd act.” The Nazis often arrested trans people under the law and argued that “cross dressing” caused a public disturbance. Fritz Kitzing was a gender nonconforming person who was arrested while in women’s clothing in 1933. The Nazis charged them under Paragraph Paragraph 361, the law against homelessness and begging. And as historian on trans woman Liddy Bacroff demonstrates, the Nazis did not recognize transgender identities as legitimate, and trans women were often arrested under Paragraph 175 as homosexual men."

"Some scholars have argued that because lesbians and transgender people were not targeted by specific laws and did not have their own separate prisoner category (and corresponding colored triangle), they were not really persecuted. This stance is dangerous because it relies on viewing this history through the Nazis’ own intentions and classification system to explain the experiences of the victims. The fact that lesbians and trans people were labeled as asocials rather than under their own separate category does not change that they were imprisoned and persecuted in concentration camps. The Nazi persecution of queer women and trans people was different from the Nazi persecution of queer men, but it was persecution nonetheless."

https://www.pinktrianglelegacies.org/learn/history

It's interesting that both the Nazis & GC feminists both considered trans people as gays.

On the wider issue I think the forces of Gender Ideology are already in retreat, so the analogy isn’t perfect, but successfully suing WPATH

Malpractice via breaching standards of care is a common problem throughout the medical profession so to assume this is some sort of 'take down' of WPATH is quite the leap.

(and both the massive leak of WPATH files and the recent court cases provide more than enough material) would be a decisive blow.

The WPATH Files have been thoroughly discredited.

https://www.erininthemorning.com/p/fact-check-216-instances-of-factual

Likel this has already been pointed out, but “gender identity” is an entirely new, invented concept, with no proof it exists.

Therefore nobody in WW2 was targetting anyone on the basis of it.

The entirety of gender identity ideology is based on concepts that are invented and unfalsifiable. Rewriting history is another game to activists, who are living in n entirely invented version of the world, with no basis in reality.

It’s a fascinating social experiment, which has been ramped up so high that the implications of its relative success are as absurd as they are terrifying.

JKR consistently asks of the public “how many of you are quite dim?”

And along comes @JadeLeader and @EmilyinEverton with their hands up saying “Me! Me! Me!”

Honestly, are you not embarrassed to publicly declare your misunderstanding so openly 😂😂

🤣 you’re not wrong

TransParentlyAnnoyed · Yesterday 11:48

Hmm, the same JK Rowling who employed Johnny Depp despite domestic violence campaigners pleading with her not to, and even bought his old yacht.

That film had a long production period, but she wanted to keep him - and he had to be fired later anyway. Strange how she became so vocal about Dangers To Women in the aftermath.

And yes, I do know the projects she's funded. I also know how she described Scottish nationalists during Indyref, and that she makes deeply personal comments about trans people which have zero to do with women's safety.

I get she's having a lot of fun (describing asexual people as affecting false victimhood just because they didn't feel like a shag was a proper low point and she seemed to be having a riot with it) but she won't answer to her past with Depp.

I'm a survivor of DV and would never employ someone like him, guess if you're rich you can be a massive hypocrite and just make that go away.

ToiletKaren · Yesterday 12:06

Rowling did make a statement about Depp being cast in the film, I'm sure I read it at the time. This was before the trials that led to him being fired by Warner brothers anyway.
