It ignores all the organised abuse carried out by employees or officers of the RCC and CoE. It does not attempt to rigourously examine why several institutions failed these victims. It is as independent as a report written solely by the Communist Party of Britain.

@PollyNomial There have already been investigations by the Catholic Church and CoE. These were published at the time.
If you think there should be more it is up to you you to organise it. Recruit the Board of experts like Rupert Lowe did rent a room collect victims willing to speak. Have some lawyers to question them and prove they are truthful and not fantasists like Carl Beech. Organise the CrowdFunding.
In short get on with it and not sit back and snipe.

godlikeAI · 17/06/2026 11:14

I would like to know how this report is independent or to be trusted, when commissioned by a man who wants nothing more than to create hatred and division. Surely nobody can read even a fraction of it and not see the glaring political agenda here? This is surely what the word “propaganda” was intended to encompass.

PollyNomial · 17/06/2026 11:09

In the whole of written history, it is impossible to find a nation, ethnicity or culture/religion of any kind where men have not raped children (found them fair game) of their own nation/ethnicity/culture/religion or any other group.

You've avoided my question. You said 'white men see white girls as fair game'. How do Muslim men view Muslim girls?

Northermcharn · Today 09:56
And how do Muslim men view Muslim girls? Not fair game because they're wearing black clothes that cover any skin / hair which would encourage them to be raped by helpless men?

By the same token it appears that some of these posters think there should have been no examination of churches, “all men rape” should cover it, no?

I believe the women and girls, including Sammy Woodhouse who led it.

Okay, but aside from your opinion about the politician involved in it - how do you feel about the reality of thousands of victims who were systematically raped? You haven't said much about that...

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/06/2026 11:17

That doesn’t mean I agree with Rupert Lowe on much else, or that I support him or his party.

That's pure twaddle.

You cannot be serious.
It explains exactly what has gone on and what continues to go on.

He has reported facts. Real life testimonies. Which is more than Starmer or any other politician has done. No 'propaganda' required. The facts speak for themselves. Is that what you're afraid of? The truth hurts, doesn't it?

The protection of Muslim rapists really is the hill that some people want to die on. I don't think they can be helped tbh.

godlikeAI · 17/06/2026 11:19

@Ereshkigalangcleg I’m not saying no don’t believe any of them, but we should certainly be wary of this man’s motives (and the resultant skew that ignores all the other abuses that happen), plus - how on earth, as a country, do we have so many vulnerable girls? What is up with their families and backgrounds, and what is being done to fix that?

thefloorislavayes · 17/06/2026 11:20

I'm currently reading Chloe's case. I'm shocked, in tears, and seriously contemplating moving my family to a safer country.
I suppose one of the reasons it's written this way is because it wasn't commissioned by the government. It was crowdfunded by ordinary people, and ordinary people expect accessible language.
If you are a real person who has read the report, I'm also shocked by your reaction. To read about what that little child went through - to be tortured, abused, and failed by everyone in her life - and to know this has happened to hundreds of thousands of girls over the last 26 years, yet be concerned about the way the report is written?
I'm sorry, but that concern strikes me as exactly the kind of detached, class-based arrogance that has allowed this to happen for so long. The victims were ignored, dismissed and abandoned, while too many people worried about appearances, procedures and reputations.
The writing style is the least surprising thing in that report. The contents are.

You’re deflecting with this, we should believe the victims.

blackpooolrock · 17/06/2026 11:21

I'm staggered so many woman here are victim blaming and moaning about Lowe.

The fact is these young girls were abused in the worst possible ways imaginable and are telling their story - lowe isn't making it up.

I seen Sammie Woodhouse on GMB and she had been told not to mention race or religion - just fuck off GMB... if that really happened the person who told her not to mention it needs to be sacked on the spot.

No one should be worried about being called a racist because they say pakistani men raped all these young girls. By complaining about race and religion you are doing what politicians, support workers, police, council workers etc. etc. have all been doing for the last 30 years. Stop being a rape apologist.

Exactly. But these people need to try and stop the conflict in their heads somehow, and framing anyone who supports this report being published as 'far right' or similar, helps the come to terms with their cognitive dissonance.

TeaAndStrumpets · 17/06/2026 11:22

GreyskySexRealistsky · 17/06/2026 10:58

@EasternStandard was referring to why another poster would underplay what the victims said, not politicians.

So your comment makes no sense.

I genuinely don't understand what your mental model of people like Rupert Lowe is. "A man who wants nothing more than to create hatred and division." Do you think he just gets up each morning, twirls his moustache and thinks "how can I stir up hatred today, mwahahaha"?

Or do you think he earnestly believes that there is a serious problem with immigrant criminals (I include 2nd/3rd gen non-native; intermarriage is unusual in these communities) committing horrific crimes justified by their own religious & racial animus, and he is personally open to a range of solutions to the problem, including ones which may be more extreme than you personally are okay with?

You can disagree on his proposed solutions (deportations, immigration bans, death penalty etc) but why do people act like their political opponents are just these cartoon villains with no genuine motivation?

I am perfectly aware of his political affiliations. I don’t believe this means that this collection of victim testimonies has zero value.

Rosecoffeecup · 17/06/2026 11:23

Rupert Lowe is a self serving charlatan and a grifter. He knows full well that the media and government won't comment on a report that has no legal basis, and labelling it an Inquiry is purely to mislead people into thinking it is a statutory inquiry when it is anything but

This all day long.

It is absolutely horrific and the establishment wanted it covered up, it stinks to high heaven.

This is why Starmer and Co want to shut down free speech it is deplorable the times we are living in. He is so two faced he talks about protecting youngsters
and the U16 social media ban, he gives zero figs about that. He did not care about these young girls and he was head of the CPS. He is a traitor, if there was any justice his head would be on a spike at Tower Bridge.

They knew who the culprits were and wanted it hushed up that was more important than young girls being abused and tortured, how can anyone square that.

I agree, and I think that is what some people think! Left wing people are sincere to them, even when batshit. They never do anything to cause division, they never abuse process, they never stir. They care.

But if the mainstream parties would acknowledge it, condemn it, allow open honest discussion, then the extreme far right would become quite insignificant bar a small minority. What we have now is Labour, Liberal Dems, Greens, Conservatives still not facing up to the fact that predominantly male Muslim Pakistani men are responsible for such vile child abuse on mass. Has anyone from the Labour government condemned the way GMB tried to silence Sammy?

Look at Labours demographics. Their main core voters. They won't rise against this. They would be ostracising any voters they have left.

Unfortunately it was utterly predictable before the report came out that it would focus on immigration issues. A report which ignores or downplays the existence of white rapists isn't really worth bothering with.

But they weren't white rapists. The crimes were committed by an ethnic clan who are mostly close knit family, brothers, cousins, who have each other's backs. They operated in a style very similar to the Italian Mafia in the US. The Italian Mafia are romanticised but specialised in prostitution, drugs and protection rackets very similar to how the grooming gangs operate.
