Thanks for the new post, Magpie! I have a box of post-its, some marker pens, flip chart paper, a tub of glitter (?), and bag of about 500 scraps of tartan fabric. Gubbins asked me to take these to the new thread. Where do you want them?

(I have to go back and help carry the flip chart frames)...

The World Cup HQ and crafts room is at the far end of the east corridor. Door is unlocked.

Thanks, got the flip chart stands, so will put them in there. I hope someone remembers the pom-poms and Granite's closing ceremony plans are found!

It was complete mayhem over there! Glad we managed most of the stuff, anyway. Let's try not to move the Bluestocking in the middle of a major project again! The capybaras looked absolutely bewildered by all the non-regulation health and safety violations going on just to get the wall charts taken down!

Ah, you need the craft craft rooms, not the World Cup craft room. Far end of the west corridor, as far as possible from the World Cup noise!

I found the The Tunnel, The Hanseatic League, and Atlantis flags! They were accidentally sew together to one of the kilts!

Thank you for the new thread, Magpie, and welcome to any newcomers.

New Bluestockingers are always welcome, and don't worry about the World Cup activity - it's just the Gerbils' World Cup, the other one that's going on somewhere can be safely ignored, thanks to the magical properties of the Bluestocking, where utter mayhem can be going on in the craft room, and the Gerbils' TV room, but peace and calm reign everywhere else.

Personally, I'm not completely ignoring the world cup, and I've tipped two of the teams on the gerbils' list for the final: The Tunnel, and The Hanseatic League.
The gerbil pundits really rate them, so they must be good😁

All food and drink at the Bluey are free, delicious, served by very efficient bar-gerbils, and contain no gluten or calories or anything like that - but still magically delicious.

Could I have a very large amaretto sour please, bargerbil? I’ve just watched the Queen’s Club tennis final, and it was quite stressful.

I am loving the World Cup story, @MyrtleLion - you are very talented, and deserve a big publishing contract.

Well, I went out for a walk around the grounds of the local country house and when I returned, there you were, gone! I managed to follow a camel who was carrying a quilting frame (only in the Bluestocking!) 😁

I was going to buy myself an ice -cream halfway through my walk, but the queue was too long, so I came home and made myself a cup of tea instead. It's not the same🙁

I have today netted my summer raspberries (though the blackbirds in the beech tree looked to be taking notes and I’m sure I heard something about ‘rookie mistake’) and had 2 long walks with Hunter so bar gerbils would you please rustle up an Inferior Ideology for me with lots of ice. Hold the sesame seeds. Thank you.

Is it too early for booze? [looks nervously for a quiet corner far away from the craft rooms owing to a tendency to break/turn upside down and misunderstand craft things. Also instant headache any time anything craft-y appears]

It's never too early for booze in the Bluestocking, @Igmum After all, it tastes as usual, but has no nasty effects such as wobbly heads - or legs.

Grenadine will be along shortly to take your order and don't worry, the crafts are being contained in the furthest reaches of the Bluestocking.

Although you might end up sitting on a flag or two at some point...

20 people, and the 24 year olds are playing Uno with the 10 and 7 year olds. The toddler is feeding the koi and the 3 year old is picking strawberries.
