My response to cross dressing

I have seen on here some resentful remarks about crossdressing, not just from males as I would expect, but from females as well. To be fair men have had to accept women cross dressing for decades now and that is supposed to be totally OK seeing women living in jeans, leggings, shorts, sports trousers, joggers etc. Personally I grew up seeing women wearing skirts and dresses when they went out shopping, to a pub restaurant or cafe and just in ordinary everyday life. They looked great then and I always loved those clothes which is why I now prefer to dress in skirts and dresses myself. I love feeling the flowing materials (nothing sexual) and wearing the very kind of clothes that I wish today`s women would wear themselves. Give me a chiffon skirt or dress and a lovely lacey petticoat (waist slip or full slip) and I feel totally happy and more natural than ever.

I think it can be accepted as an indisputable, universal truth that Clonakilty ‘everything’ is lovely.

Edited to add: Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry Marie. Just saw the bit where you said you are a vegetarian. I saw the word Clonakilty and rushed to comment. Didn’t mean to be tone deaf.

Edited

I visited Clonakilty last year in our grand tour of Ireland. Can confirm it's a lovely wee place with delicious food 😄

Doh! Did a better hog and can't upload her. Which actually leads to another question...

Sometimes I try to upload one, but the image name is greyed out, which I can't work out or get around. It's an Apple Mac. Is there a simple answer?

Sorry to now shift things into tech. advice requests! Thank you, all.

Catiette · 29/07/2026 20:40

Cropped hedgehog.

Or not! Definitely making up for my earlier earnest reply now with irrelevant stuff! 😂

Still a bit earnest, though. Apparently, for the keen of eye and more studiously inclined, there's even a space for highlights and notes above! 😃

Boiledbeetle · 29/07/2026 20:46

If nothing else @Catiette has proved beyond doubt who eats my Tunnock's when I'm not looking!

Hedgehogforshort · 29/07/2026 20:51

@Catiette OH FUCKITTY FUCK FUCK, i have been erm framed !!!!

Catiette · 29/07/2026 21:55

It's no good - I saw it. She dunnit! It was Hedgehogforshort, in the weird thread, with the Tunnocks!

(That explains the Highlights and Notes annotation very nicely - my AI fail is, in fact, a piece of Very Serious Evidence from the Very Serious Evidence Room set up after that awful gerbil teacake smuggling ring was broken up...)

A hedgehog...in leggings....in yesterday's heat?

Photos or it didn't happen.

IbnBattutu · 30/07/2026 15:20

I don't mind anyone wearing what the heck they like as long as it is decent and not part of a display whereby they are making people be unwilling participants in a fetish. Therefore I find it a bit disingenuous that a male would try to compare women wearing mannish clothing (whatever!) with men wearing feminine clothing; because we all know which sex are more likely to be doing this because it is a fetish and it ain't females.

Quite.

Interesting the OP refers to it as cross dressing showing that he knows full well what he is doing is deliberately wearing the clothes he associates with the opposite sex, otherwise it would just be dressing.

I agree with you wear what you like as long as it is appropriate and within the bounds of decency according to the occasion it is being worn for.

People who wear outlandish, different, inappropriate clothing do it because they want to be noticed, they want the attention, to then have the audacity to moan or whinge when they get said attention is just ridiculous.

Wear your lacy slips and petticoats to your hearts content @manpretty but make sure whilst wearing them you access the spaces and services for your sex, your style of dress does not alter your sex and don't try and force your belief on women that these items of clothing are somehow clothes that women should be wearing. Leave us alone.
