Inspired by this completely sane and not at all unhinged post by Brianna Wu about UK terfs, I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all the "dreadful middle-aged women" who have pushed back on trans ideology and have continued to say "No" to middle-aged men like Brianna/John.

I'm a few years off being officially a middle-aged woman but I hope to be just as dreadful when I get there. You're all an inspiration. 🙂

When the trans topic comes up, my ds17 rolls his eyes and says "oh, pleeease".

His profile picture on X is so ridiculously heavily filtered it makes him look like he's in his 20s. The image on his Wikipedia entry tells the truth. He's started to believe his own fiction.

Proud to be a “dreadful middle aged woman”. And proud also to be an 80s teenager. We had much better music than the Spice Girls (and arguably better social mobility too).

I'm completely confused by the images here.
In a fair number of photos, and including video on recent podcasts (with Bari Weiss and Batya Ungar-Sargon), Wu looks quite young.
But on stills from FB, stage photos, he looks literally 30 years older.
This surely can't all be filters, especially real time podcast video!

Middle-aged is the biggest insult there is to these people. Worse than Nazi. Way worse.

Brianna Wu is awful. Arrogant, self-centred and egotistical. Very masculine-coded (the less nice bits of masculinity, that is).

I still remember the way that he tried to argue down and humiliate Nina Paley of the sometimes brilliant Heterodorx podcast.

They had invited Wu on, with a view to an open conversation, and Wu treated them with undeserved contempt. Such a huge case of autogynephilia with all the crankiness of a public sexual fetishist.

I bloody love being middle-aged. I genuinely don’t give a fuck what anyone thinks of me any more, I’m quite senior at work and also well paid, mortgage paid off, counting down to early retirement.

I am now the embarrassing older woman that had the younger me cringing inside out. Legs a bit fuzzy because I’ve not booked in a wax? No one cares. Stray chin hair grew an inch in one morning and is gleaming in the sun by the afternoon? No one cares. Never been introduced but happy to chat to strangers in the queue? No one cares. Comfy bras cos I just want my bust higher than my navel and under control, I don’t need them hoicked to under my chin any more. Comfy shoes cos, well comfy shoes. It’s great.
