That is if The Human Paperweight that is Philipson can make her mind up. What should we expect?

I struggle to put into words how offended I am by people making little pink triangles to wear, just because they can't go in the ladies loo

it's grossly, grossly offensive

HouseMartinsHome · 21/05/2026 08:04

Just heard the end of a good interview on Tomes Radio.

Not sire which it was but they spoke well.

It is just so clear and obvious when someone articulates it well.

EmpressaurusKitty · 21/05/2026 08:05

The defining characteristic of a lesbian is that she is not sexually attracted to male bodies, including penises, testicles, male body mass and shape. Nor is she sexually attracted to certificates…’

And this is why LGBT is a nonsense, let alone anything longer. The Supreme Court judgment is pro-lesbian & that’s the part that doesn’t get mentioned enough.

Lesbians are not sexually attracted to trans-identifying males, whether or not they have GRCs.

Assume the creepy blokes won’t stop until some of them are actually arrested and charged over this. Which presumably, and despite police reluctance, they could be. And thanks to all the foot-dragging and social media outrage, it’s likely to be a much bigger story than if they’d just followed the law in the first place.

This is guidance for service providers. It doesn’t create new criminal offences. Men entering women’s toilets can be dealt with using existing public order, harassment, and indecency offences.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 21/05/2026 08:06

On AIBU, for traffic and different views, and the polling feature. Not the same as a FWR thread.

Yes, the service providers will need to take women’s concerns and complaints seriously and not handwave it away as bigotry.

Yeah I am trawling for the eyeballs of people who would not normally see all this stuff basically

If that is true, ... yes, I'm struggling with the right words. Psychotically-borderline-racist is the only thing that I can articulate.

Some of these people will be thoroughly ashamed of themselves if they ever grow up (but not enough of them).

Ereshkigalangcleg · 21/05/2026 08:13

It’s an extension of their pathological need to
shock and get attention.

Yes. As should always have been the case.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 21/05/2026 08:13

Just like their accessing women’s toilets against the will of women is.

I hadn’t considered that I think that’s a very good point

Has a poll though (image any time now...)

Oh gosh look at that who knew.

Take note, Andy Burnham. The minority have spoken.

Good thought. I am sure there will be a lot of spin about what mean right wing hags we all are today. Meanwhile on planet reality, our survey says that a woman is an adult human female.

Ah. But he will consider them the wrong sort of people.

The cunty kind, you might say. Their opinions don't tend to count so much.

fantam · 21/05/2026 08:28

Will the guidance apply to toilets in the workplace and schools? Are places like airports and train stations and similar included? And if not does that mean more court challenges etc.?

Have a look at the list of business for today in House of Commons , it’s number 15 almost at the very end of business

Oh god - they're not going to manage to run out of time are they? "We intended to bring it but so sad we ran out of time" would be the most terrible excuse in the history of dog ate my homework. Please tell me that's not possible here. I seem to remember some shameless filibustering on a previous occasion when gender was on the agenda.

Oh yes, if it can be done, Bridget will do it!

It baffles me why they've kicked this down the road for so long. Why are they so afraid of this?

The law applies universally. The updated Keeping Children Safe in Education is absolutely clear that no child over the age of 11 must undress in front of the opposite sex etc. It will no doubt take a while for organisations to consider the implications of having followed Stonewall's fake interpretation of the law. I suspect that some employers may have to write into their employee "conditions" / code of conduct something about abiding by the employer's legal / safety requirements etc.

That will be the next delay tactic: we are working to update our policies, which must be approved through the correct channels, and our updated policies will be published in due course.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 21/05/2026 08:40

The positive thing about this is that we nownhave a number of fantastic, legally informed organisations who will go through the guidance with a fine toothcomb.

They'll no doubt be ready to mount a legal challenge at any fuckwittery the government attempts to impose. Like - "It would be good practice to ask your women employees if they're happy to share their workplace changing rooms with random men". 😂

100%.
It will all be incredibly challenging and will take many years develop - in contrast to our previous lightening speed removal of women's changing rooms, showers, toilets following the demands of a tiny % of men.
