Reform sending private messages for support in Wigan

Has anyone else had private messages from random people asking for suport for Reform in the coming by-election?

They used an AI to measure their messages and make them sound convincing, 'cos the actual user can't spell and was quite cross.

I am really, really sorry to those of you who have been sent strange PMs these past few days from a user called ‘TomUT7’.

I have now got to the bottom of this and worked out what’s happened. MN have directed me to this thread so I can explain to you what’s happened, as I realise you might be concerned.

My nephew was using an old phone of mine - which I stupidly didn’t realise was logged into MN - and sent random and weird posts (including these PMs in question) to people on here from about Thursday evening to early this morning.

He thought it was really funny. Of course, it is not. I am so sorry about this.

I’ve now spoken to my nephew and stopped him from using that phone completely. I've also reset my MN passwords and email passwords for further peace of mind, to make sure he can’t find a way of accessing my emails or MN account in future.

I am so sorry again to you all. I’m absolutely mortified!!

We've sent the email addresses of the users that they registered with MN on to a legal team investigating a certain TRA so they might pass them on to the police. Do let us know if you get a call.

I take it back then! However, it still doesn’t mean what that poster is saying is true abut it being their nephew. Very odd way for MN behave.

That’s not proof it was actually your nephew though is it? It’s just the story you’re selling MN.

It is odd I agree. I presume they have done their usual checks behind the scenes but TSSDNCOP and all that.

I suppose it doesn’t really matter if you’re genuine or not because no one bought the PMs so there was no real harm done.
