A new investigation has shared more information on details of Hamas' atrocities.

I do urge caution when reading, and don't if you are feeling fragile.

'An independent, Israeli investigation has published harrowing details of "systematic, widespread" sexual violence by Hamas and other Palestinian armed groups during the attacks on 7 October 2023, and against hostages.
The 300-page report concludes that rapes, sexual assault and sexual torture were intended "to maximize pain and suffering".
While the UN and others have published reports on sexual violence during the attacks – in which about 1,200 people were killed and 251 taken hostage – this is the most comprehensive.
It draws on 430 filmed interviews with survivors and witnesses, more than 10,000 photographs and videos filmed by attackers, and official records and material from attack sites.'

Why do hamas exist in the first place?

Because a significant proportion of Palestinians believe violence, including sexual, is a legitimate means to a political end.

As brutally illustrated by the report at the top of the thread.

@EmilyinEverton Can you name any other of the 'numerous discredited statements' apart from the '40 beheaded babies' which gets wheeled out every time someone tries to undermine the credibility of the Israelis?

I read a post on that horrible line that people use to minimise and why the people at the scene thought they saw what they did looking at the bodies.

It was horrific and even worse people on SM use it as on here.

Yes. I can categorically state with 100 percent certainty that the British Army would not behave as Hamas did on October 7th. If you think otherwise you obviously have not read what Hamas actually did, and also no nothing about the modern British army.

You minimisation of what happened is an insult to the Israeli victims and raises questions about why your motivation to minimise this.

Israel is not a legitimate state and does have a right to exist. And furthermore, whether or not you think it has a right to exist if immaterial as the fact is it does exist. Israel does exist as a nation of people.

To say a nation of people have no right to exist is a genuinely genocidal statement.

Ah, we have now got the poster who believes that Israel should be wiped off the map. 🙄

Where war goes sexual violence follows so it's unsurprising but at this stage for Israel publicising these findings is akin to barking into the wilderness given their continued war mongering. Most people will simply view the publication of the report as another shrewd grab at sympathy & finger pointing unfortunately as Israel's good will has completely dried up.

Praying for peace.

No. No 'most people' will not 'simply view the publication as another attempt to blah'. I think that's just you and your circle. Because 'most' people I know, remain and become more disgusted at Hamas and their actions. Stop with the Jew hatred.

So apart from being Israeli, what crimes had the innocent people massacred on October 7th committed? Or are you ok with Hamas murdering and raping innocent people?

Rubbish. Israel has as much right to exist as any other nation. And Jewish people are native to the land aswell.

You should ask yourself why you're on a thread about horrific sexual violence towards Israeli women, delegitimizing the right for their homeland to exist. And referring to their rape as 'push back'. Its absolutely disgusting.

loislovesstewie · 13/05/2026 11:26

And who believes the rape of Israeli women is 'push back'.

Didn't take long did it.

inamarina · 13/05/2026 11:34

dairydebris · 13/05/2026 10:42

And every single one of those Gazan women and children would still be alive had the atrocities in the report not been commited by Hamas on 7 October.

The blame for all of this lies with Hamas. The ones who did this. All this.

Absolutely disgusting thread. Again.

Agree. That’s what I particularly liked about Anila Ali‘s statement quoted upthread:

'No cause, no grievance, and no ideology can ever justify such savagery. We must name Hamas, we must tell the truth, and we must ensure that these horrors are never denied, never erased, and never forgotten.'

None of the 'it didn’t start on October 7th' relativism often seen on social media, including here.

dairydebris · 13/05/2026 11:31

This. Normally I would quote a few examples of the things that happened to illustrate to posters like this exactly what it is they are calling "push back".

But I cannot quote from this report. It is horrific. Truly horrific. And that is why I urge posters like this to go and read it for themselves.

I will not minimise anything. All violence is horrific. What I will say is that people are people no matter where in the world they are, so no I do not believe that British people would behave any better than the Palestinians did on October 8th just as I don't believe Israel are acting better since that day either.

Violence from all quarters needs to end. The circle needs to be broken, and that responsibility falls upon the shoulders of Israel who should give them back their land as a gesture of good faith. Only then can the world move forward.

GreyskySexRealistsky · 13/05/2026 11:39

Stop time wasting Bella.

This is serious. Have some respect, for fuck's sake.

Sadly they will not read it, or they will lie and say they have. They believe (idiots) that it is not a legitimate report and therefore is not worthy of their attention. They are a disgrace and should be ashamed of themselves, but they won't be because they think they have the moral high ground. They do not, and they never will.

https://www.thejc.com/news/newly-elected-green-councillor-apologises-for-october-7-anti-israel-tweets-a5qx65mk

'Mothin Ali insisted ‘white supremacist European settler colonialism must end’ on October 7'
...
People should “support the right of indigenous people to fight back,” he claimed, before adding: “They are not victims, they are occupiers, they are colonialists, they are European colonialists…
"It’s one of the last European colonies in the world, and that’s why the European people don’t want to let it go. They use the weapon of antisemitism so effectively that anyone who criticises Israel is labelled as antisemitic.”
Ali also claimed: “Every single person, every single people have a right to fight back, every single people have a right to live free of occupiers.'

To think these are the statements of the deputy leader of a party celebrated by many in the UK, including many, many idealistic young people, is rather chilling.

PumpkinsAndCoconuts · 13/05/2026 11:48

I will not read the report. I am already too familiar with the prevalence of sexual violence during armed conflict and as a strategic weapon. I’ve also heard and read a lot from victims of this particular conflict.

I am not in the headspace to hear or read more right now.

I will simply state this: this terrorist attack was well planned and meant to maximise pain and suffering. They did not just disregard the victims‘ pain. They wanted to maximise it, I have absolutely no doubt about that.

the words of an Israeli father who was relieved to find out that his little daughter was „simply“ murdered have stuck with me…

so… long rambling thoughts. My heart aches for the victim. And we should take care to not silence the victims, no matter what their nationality or ethnicity!

But to call Hamas animals you must say the same of the IDF.

Israel is an illegitimate state with no right to exist.

At least you are honest.

This is illuminating.

I would like to hear UK politicians asked to very clearly state whether they believe Israel has a right to exist.
