I knew a lot of this but the machinations exposed clearly are fascinating.

(it’s probably been linked 20 pages deep in another thread but…)

Form the tweets, it looks as if Tarquin beat a hasty retreat before the verdict. What a surprise, the giant coward.

murasaki · 01/05/2026 15:16

I know Tarquin is young (ish), but even he must have clocked that having Fat Tone with you is normally a swift route to a defeat.

Maybe he'll fuck off with his tail between his legs and contemplate some of his life choices.

I very much doubt it, he will continue to double down and wallow in imagined victimhood. I wonder who is bank rolling him as I cant imagine he has a day job.

In occasional weak lapses I actually feel sorry for him. He has clearly been groomed and brainwashed by some of the awful company he keeps.

DrudgeJedd · 01/05/2026 15:17

As soon as Tarquin left the court he was back to posting on the Cookd and Bombd forum. It used to be a decent place to discuss comedy (mostly Chris Morris & Peter Cook) now just a few dozen misogynistic arseholes who regularly monitor this board when they aren't posting thousands of repetitive insults about Glinner.
Massively anti-Semitic too, they think they're a Great Bunch of Lads though.

The police barely prosecute rape, they don't investigate or prosecute shoplifting (even when the goods are worth hundreds or thousands and there's cctv) and they don't even investigate burglaries.

I'm so glad (heavy sarcasm) they're using their meagre resources to investigate whether or not someone's phone was mildly damaged.

While not having evidenced - and CPS seem to have missed this too - that Glinner ever damaged the phone at all. There is nothing to prove that the complainant didn't take a hammer to it himself after the event. ANd there would certainly be motive for this.

WTF has all this cost in terms of public purse, including the police time and involvement? And what has it cost Glinner in terms of stress, not least the ridiculous sending of five armed officers to an airport to arrest him. Ffs, what is the bloody establishment of this country smoking?

All the big guns on that list. No doubt Tarquin and friends will be there to stink up the place.

Well now, this has made my day. Looking forward to an in depth report from Nick's Gender blog later on.
Great pic of the Scouse Scammer, cheered me up no end.
Well done Judge. A woman who understands evidence ( or lack of it) thankfully

SabrinaThwaite · 01/05/2026 15:25

It would have been glorious if Legal Gengar had been able to slap a bankruptcy order on FT in person today.

If anyone could nitterify Nick's tweets, I'd be very grateful.

In case it would be useful for the future, to Nitterify any tweet, simply replace x.com in the browser's address bar with nitter.net and hit return, that will take you to the Nitter version of any tweet 🤓

I doubt it, they just like messing with people - that's the fun part for them. If they actually succeed in a legal matter it's just a bonus.

Brill, thanks.

I hope Glinner, Sarah and Nick are enjoying a restorative pint in the sunshine.

Yes. I suspect the attention and the feel of a fight and the emotional feedback of it all is most of what it's about.

Another question - in addition to police incompetence, shocking waste of public money, and stessing the hell out of the victim - why is it so easy for some to repeatedly abuse the court system like this? What time does that take up, and what public funding, that could be dealing with actual issues?

DrudgeJedd · 01/05/2026 15:34

Apparently Tarquin was arrested in February?
And is moving to Australia? Course you are poppet

I can't imagine he meets any of the visa requirements. Apart from the working one, which would require, er..., working, which he isn't keen on. Upton at least had some skills, if used unethically.

Sea crocodiles and Dr Beth and dunny spiders and Tarquin and drop bears

a wonderful and majestic continent I don't plan to visit

My mind automatically tried to fit that list to 'a few of my favourite things'

And luckily couldn't.

"hello is this Sydney Police? Glinner has just thrown my phone at a drop bear! What do you mean that's impossible? Are you calling me a liar!?!"

Interestingly it was the judge who observed that the photos are undated.

This is the point in the trial when I decided that the judge would find no case to answer.

It's a criminal trial so they have to find beyond reasonable doubt that the damage was caused by Glinner chucking the phone away. Even with Tarquin's extremely slippery evidence there is simply no proof that Glinner caused this damage to a four year old phone in a protective case.

I'm not sure why this didn't happen at the original trial, possibly they got distracted with the alleged harassment charges.

And stolen phones and bikes: even when the owner is able to TELL the police where the stolen property is, they don't bother trying to get it back. A member of my family went with a friend to the thief's house to buy back his own bike after the police refused to help. I've heard the same about stolen phones which are tagged and yet the police still won't do anything - which is even more ironic here - they went with full force after Glinner over alleged damage to a phone - damage that was so minor it didn't even need to be fixed! It's crazy.

TonysGotANewMotor · 01/05/2026 16:33

Am I right in thinking this wasn't the first time the fragrant Tarquin had claimed in court that an iPhone of his had been damaged?
