Hannah Spencer harassed in Manchester

Despite the fact that certain very vocal sections of this board are aggressively anti-trans and anti-Green, I'd gently suggest that this kind of confrontation and abuse is unacceptable in any civilised society, regardless of personal ideologies.

Perhaps the saddest irony here is that these male bigots claim to be protecting women's rights whilst trying to attack a woman MP. On International Women's Day.

I'd be curious to see how other MNetters feel about this situation...

Green Party say 'Hannah Spencer won't be silenced' after Manchester violence

Hannah Spencer, Gorton and Denton's newly-elected MP, was ushered into a police car amid the unfolding chaos

Ameen Hadi a member of "stand up to racism"/also described as Hannah Spencer's security guard assaulted a woman that is what happened.

He punched her in the face - horrific. It is all over the internet so no doubt what happened pure aggression and nasty.

No, my definition of women does not include men pretending to be women.
No, that is not the type of woman who is marginalised.

I'd have thought this should have been obvious...

There are lots of things in your posts that are not "obvious".
Irrespective of how many times you keep telling posters they are obvious.
That's why you're getting asked to clarify what you mean.

Thanks - I saw those posts after I’d made mine. I’ll go and look up the Edge of the Matrix, he sounds interesting.

It's as clear as mud.

No one attacked Hannah the plumber. Which is as it should be. MPs should never face violence for doing their jobs.

Several people, men and women, tried to 'doorstop' her, to interview her or ask her questions. So far, so normal.

One of her security team, a Unison member, punched a woman in the face. There were some other fracas between her security team and people filming on their cameras.

We know damned well what transwomen want, because they demand it endlessly. They want access to women's rights, spaces, prizes, sport, shortlists, and anything else they perceive as being for women only.

Transwomen are men. Make humans in every bit of their DNA from conception to death.

They aren't marginalised, they are colonisers.

midgetastic · 09/03/2026 12:39

MissS perhaps you could advise me as to whether o am a woman or not? A simple clear objective analysis please that I can apply to myself to determine

It's all over this thread too, with videos, but for some reason the OP is now ignoring it, despite starting a thread about it.

Why do the TRAs that plop on here not realise that their creepy coyness just sounds like 'we are laydeez' from Little Britain '?

Maybe they do, and that's the look they're going for.

But you're right, creepy coyness is the thing. 'I'm talking about ladeez, ladeez like me'.

Helleofabore · 09/03/2026 12:43

Datun · 09/03/2026 12:15

I can't help wondering that at what point are these politicians, the police, event organisers, etc, are going to realise the god awful optics of blanking people and pretending they're not asking pertinent questions about women's rights and safety.

All whilst their security either ignore women being attacked, or actually take part in it themselves.

I agree Datun.

If there is one thing that watching different rallies has shown me, is that the stewarding and the police work is imperative to keeping women safe.

And that asking questions is not abusive. With the rise of the 'auditors', security needs to have a well rehearsed plan in place.

Also, far better to have an answer prepared for being asked these questions than to have these questions shut down.

Seeing that security officer attack the woman videoing (I assume she was an auditor) is really concerning.

The biological kind of course, as defined by the supreme court.

👍 OP’er seems very confused.
Claims to be Pro-women but appears to includeTransW so cannot be pro-women. Everyone knows that TransW are men.

Butchyrestingface · 09/03/2026 12:45

"Angry men", eh? How does Hannah and her party know what those people identify as?

Shedmistress · 09/03/2026 12:46

Basially we are supposed to feel sorry for Hannah for being asked questions and completely ignore that one of her security punched a woman, because its ok to punch women if the men who punch the women are on the 'right side of history'? Or something?

TheywontletmehavethenameIwant · 09/03/2026 12:47

I hope the Urdu speakers are taking note, so they can see what they actually voted for. Actions speak louder than words, no need for a translator, for a start.

All this.

Just say yes, like Starmer's 99% of women don't have cocks.

At least have the bloody courage of your convictions and articulate your daft ideology. Instead of pretending that for some reason it's too difficult. Sorry, complex.

They run everything through its lens, they campaign for it, they make rules dependent upon it, and they try to indoctrinate everyone into it, but they're too scared to actually say it out loud because they know it makes them look a) nuts and b) raging men's rights activists.

All women (and men) have to do is stand there, be normal - and ask.

I can't believe they don't see how shit it is 😄

SmallChildCryingTearsofButter · 09/03/2026 12:48

Helleofabore · 09/03/2026 11:54

This looks like the assault.

[Potentially distressing content warning posted by MNHQ at poster's request. Please proceed with care.]

Gosh! Thanks for sharing. Extremely clear the the Unison DEI officer assaulted a number of people including punching the woman in the face. Also the so called ‘Stand up to Hate’ people violently trying to wrestle buses and property from others.

I really hope the police actually do something about this and don’t just turn a blind eye again.

OP has inadvertently highlighted the extent to which the activists in the left will descend into violence and attacking people in public.

Helleofabore · 09/03/2026 12:48

How did we 'out' ourselves?

No

it’s the woman’s fault and she was asking for it by being on the wrong side

and anyway words and questions are far more painful and traumatic than a punch she jus being a wimp

edit - no I am not being serious

edited to add, based in 'Terf Island'.

"But can you clarify: we here are pro women's rights. Is that in conflict with what trans people want?"

We are all pro-women's rights. That really should be obvious to you by now.

Is that in conflict with what trans people want? That depends. What is it you think trans people want?

What do trans people want. I can only tell you what the vocal abusive segments tell us they want and so far they've told us they want removal of all sex based rights and the ability to compelle other people's thoughts, language and religion , along with harmful drugs and surgeries for vulnerable confused children

I think we know the many 'whys' why they don't have an answer.

Partly it is because they don't fully support the subjective reality but don't want to be shown for not being fully supportive. I mean, considering the experiences of the woman and even Shahar Ali, if you were in the Greens and did want to keep your employment, I can understand it to some degree.

Why is your opening post and the video saying the complete opposite to each other. Why are you lying?

Maybe the online magazine Jezebel was right when they said MN "has become a toxic breeding ground for transphobia"...

gosh. Well Jezebel is for a bunch of women who never had to fight for anything but are prepared to let penii (penises?) into places our daughters are changing so they can get in the sea/fuck off to the other side of fuck.

But: we are in favour of, support, and advocate for women's rights.
If that is going to be the definition of transphobia at least we can work with it. Because up to now there hasn't been one.
