I'd assumed that it was too early for candidate lists for the upcoming election, but this thread prompted me to google and I have found that there are currently 18 candidates for my local seat, across 2 independents and 2 parties, so they are obviously not all there yet. I do have a preferred candidate anyway.

I'm really going to have to check how tactical voting works as I seem to remember that, counterintuitively, if you really don't want a candidate/party it's better to number them last rather than not at all.

In the Green party list there are Mridul Wadhwa, Lorna Slater and the delightful "let's defund women's groups who won't let trans women in" Alex Staniforth. Great. What a horrendous shower of misogynists.

Wadhwa's standing?!

There are dates on that page for the Scottish Greens to doorstep - if you're in a relevant area you can decide whether to be washing your hair that day, or wait in to confront them and tell them exactly what you think of them.

Douglas Ross speaking ot about the scot government case and being blocked from asking ministers about this case

He's been relentless on this. Good for him.

'Lorna Slater, Kate Nevens and Q Manivannan are our top three candidates to be MSPs in Edinburgh and Lothian East region. Our other candidates are: Kayleigh Kinross-O’Neill, Chas Booth, Adam Al-Khateb, Jo Phillips, Mridul Wadhwa, Dan Heap, Astri Kvassnes, Alex Staniforth and Mariusz Cebulski.'

Christ. With these women hating arseholes, you are really spoiling us, ambassador.

Despite being a Conservative voter, I'm tired of the party, but it's still good to see Ross be genuinely motivated and angry about this.
And all that matters in the parliament as he speaks is that hurty words aren't used, no raising of voices, no protocol tripped upon.
The left establishment are pushing on, actively visible in Scotland where the hill the SNP/Scottish Greens/Scottish Labour are happy to die on is for all to see, in London more obfuscating with Phillipson taking the opposite tactic, avoiding, gaslighting and delaying.
Further evidence if any needed that whether it's a cult or caste, or simply a self generating echo chamber fuelled by the energy of endless virtue signalling, the left are both insufferably pious, and totally high on their own supply.

You might even call them Prigs -

prig - a self-righteously moralistic person who behaves as if they are superior to others:
"too much overt goodness can be the sign of a prig"
"some of his contemporaries thought him a prig and hypocrite"

It's time we brought this word back into common usage, they are a million occasions every day when it could be used.

I'd replace the 'g' with 'ck'.
