I'm not sure if there's anything new here though

Phillipson blocks trans guidance after landmark Supreme Court ruling https://share.google/P91PBE5Cy4ROwsdA1

It's a very stark article in the Telegraph.

Good that The Telegraph are continuing to highlight this

what a massive disappointment she is (in a long line of disappointments)

Cowardice, basically.

indoorherbs · 18/12/2025 21:03

Do you have a share token please?

OpheliaWitchoftheWoods · 18/12/2025 21:03

That's the first time I've seen a direct shift in her named agenda from dithering and 'thinking carefully' to coming out as actively working to overturn it. But it's obvious now that's what all the staged stalling is about. Beneath all the lies.

IwantToRetire · 18/12/2025 21:04

So rather than saying straight out to everybody she has snuck in her objections by piggy backing on the Good Law Project court case as an "interested" party.

2 faced hypocrite and coward.

We all knew she had used the businesses will suffer excuse to delay by asking for an impact assessment.

Sadly we cant say this is just one oppinionated person.

She has the majority of the WEC to back her up.

Well this makes clear Labour's committment to women.

OpheliaWitchoftheWoods · 18/12/2025 21:04

What is the batshit about women cannot have single sex spaces because it would prevent a mother taking in her infant son?

What is she smoking in there?

IwantToRetire · 18/12/2025 21:06

Also what does it mean that a Government Minister can tell the Supreme Court I dont like your ruling, so I'm not going to accept it.

Or is this just now that Baroness Falkner has gone they think they can walkd all over MAS?

BonfireLady · 18/12/2025 21:09

What an utter fuckwit she is.

I had started to have hope that she and Streeting were waking up to what was happening and were working towards addressing it. But no, she's determined to keep the nation (and of course schools) in perpetual confusion about the difference between the sexes and he's pushing experiments on children's brains and bodies. Meanwhile, Starmer offers performative "leadership" about it all supposedly being clear now.

Appalling.

So, she’s actively impeding businesses and organisations across the country from following the law? Not a good look for a Secretary of State.

NextRinny · 18/12/2025 21:17

A woman. It's always a woman..

DworkinWasRight · 18/12/2025 21:19

You can’t overrule the Supreme Court - the clue is in the name.

Yep. Good to have that clear now.

IwantToRetire · 18/12/2025 21:28

The Government must uphold the Supreme Court ruling

Bridget Phillipson should not seek to challenge rules that aim to protect women-only spaces

Helleofabore · 18/12/2025 21:28

Considering the SC panel mentioned taking male children into the spaces as being accommodated, her warning does not ring true at all.

Stopbringingmicehome · 18/12/2025 21:29

Who can we write to

It's utterly hopeless. I used to vote Tory until Brexit (and subsequent insanity, from Johnson to Truss). But I think I may return to the fold as they are the only ones addressing the trans insanity. I can't vote for any party captured by trans woo.

Hoardasurass · 18/12/2025 21:31

So we need to sue the UK government now then i guess

Yes, and I feel gutted every time

Phillipson is an enemy to women

In that parliament can pass new legislation to be interpreted by the courts, yes and this is the way to tell the courts.

IwantToRetire · 18/12/2025 21:36

So to accommodate at most 10,000 people who have a GRC, the elected Government of the UK is trying to tell the UK Supreme Court we dont want to follow your ruling.

IwantToRetire · 18/12/2025 21:38

PollyNomial · 18/12/2025 21:34

Well that would be more honest than piggy backing on a Good Law Project legal appeal.

Duplicitous
