i know she doesn’t practice medicine now, but she has done in the past.

Caller: what impact will this have on things like bone density esp. for women?

HW: Explains osteoporosis. Basically says their bones will be okay and strong (??)

Caller: Point me to the research please! Where is the research?

HW: I'm not sure that study exists.

Caller: I don't think it's ethical.

HW: Well you're not a medic. Leave it to the experts please!

Tom: Who are the experts?

I missed exactly what Tom's expert evidence was, but HW doesn't like it anyway!

Caller asks a good question about long term side effects. HW denies this is a problem.

Caller asks for evidence. HW says that there isn't any she is aware of but she's medically qualified and the caller isn't. So that's that.

That caller said up front she wasn't a medic. Helen cooes at her "oooh that's fine, that's fine"

Caller asks a medical question. Helen snaps at her "you're not a medic!!"

Latest caller asked HW to point to some peer reviewed studies that show that loss of estrogen won’t cause early osteoporosis in trans-identifying girls and women. HW says there is no such study that she knows of.

Caller says: ‘This seems unethical to me’

HW: ‘Yes well you’re not medically trained so you don’t get to have an opinion on medical ethics. Leave that to the experts.’

Um ok Helen but the experts haven’t managed to produce any evidence that these treatments are safe 😂

Her bedside manner needs working on. She's so prickly and resistant to opposing views.

Even trans reddit think she's a liability these days and have requested she shut up.

Caller: Do you think it's acceptable to give kids PBs when they can't make decisions for themselves about smoking etc. It's coercion from adults putting ideas in kids heads.

HW: How many trans kids have you met?

Caller: None but I have 4 kids.

HW: If you haven't met a trans kid you don't understand. Do you think kids are too young to make medical decisions?

Caller's child was born a girl, presents as a boy. Caller said no to PBs to child aged 11.

HW: What difference would it have made to him if he's had them?
