Sexism/other issues in the Green party England & Wales - Discussion Thread 2

Zack Polanski is making things bigger again.

We need a new thread to discuss all his antics and the ongoing situation in the Green party which is getting more ever more bizarre. While it is getting ever strident in denying biology it also has Mothin Ali as deputy Leader who clearly doesn't believe in trans thinking, but cleverly sidesteps round talking about it.

The fight back from Green Women's Declaration,(https://www.greenwomensdeclaration.uk/ ) continues and the court cases against GPEW from Emma Bateman and Shahrar Ali are developing.

In Bristol the Women of Wessex are causing panic amongst the ruling Green council just by turning up and asking questions. This may result in another court case.

With local elections in May and elections in Wales incoming lots more to discuss and call out.

First thread - where you can follow the rise of Hypno Boobs:

Note the Scottish Greens which are a separate party to the Green Party England/Wales have their own thread for all their drama. They split off because GPEW didn't hate biology enough at the time.

Max Tempers continues to publish bits from this big document which he says (and I have no reason to disbelieve him) comes from a veteran GPEW insider worried that the Omnicausers have gifted the party a raft of policies that are quite mad. This is a good one.

Maybe the Greens will put some of the most violent men in the same prisons as those women?
No maybe about it, that would deffo be on their agenda.
Looks like trans IDd females will escape jail altogether in this Green paradise, even the violent ones.
Car crash doesn't even start to describe this.

The Green Party is backing candidates with “no place in British politics”, the Board of Deputies of British Jews has said, after a social media post emerged that claimed “it takes serious effort” not to be an antisemite.

Zack throws Scottish greens under bus says he is against abolishing prisons. However he follows it up by saying too many women are in prison. Which should lead to the question why do you back criminal blokes being put into women's prisons?

I think @fromorbit linked to the greens being likely to form a coalition with Gaza independents in Birmingham after the local elections.

Times have reported that Unite have been holding talks with Reform, who seem set to be a strong 2nd if not win, on ending the Birmingham bin strikes (shared from @Igneococcus on the YP thread)

I'm assuming the greens have some sort of plan to end the strikes, but the rub is, if they make the council keep the post being cut, it leaves them open to a raft of equal pay claims because it was found that binmen were being paid over and above their skill levels compared to more female dominated roles.

'Unite have been holding talks with Reform'

Crikey.

SionnachRuadh · 18/04/2026 10:00

Sharon Graham is a wilier political operator than most Labour MPs, and she can see the problem with Unite continuing to shovel money to Labour when half of her members are voting Reform.

Shahrar case update - the Greens are screwed long term because biology is a thing legally. Gardening needed.

⚖️Legal Update. The Disclosure Battle against the Green Party: Help us to force full Compliance

My second litigation against the Green Party of England and Wales is progressing well. Thanks to your continued moral and financial support, we are now looking towards a trial date later this year. After the party lost a landmark claim of unlawful protected belief discrimination against me in 2024, it swiftly moved to exclude me entirely from membership, just as I was about to bring a motion on the Cass Review to conference. This was an audacious, unhinged act, orchestrated by a network of officers and party representatives motivated by ideological hostility towards me.

Let me be clear: by the Green Party’s own admission, gender critical belief, and its expression, is protected across the party, and members must not be unlawfully discriminated against on this basis.

The party’s recent surge in popularity under Zack Polanski’s leadership, both in membership and in electoral support, only heightens the need for accountability when a political association chooses to act as a law unto itself. While internal corruption persists, the party poses a live risk not only to democratic politics but also to the protection of single-sex spaces for women and girls, and to the safeguarding of children and young people from what has emerged as the “gender-affirming” medical scandal of the century.

We are currently at the disclosure stage. From the first litigation, we know that the Green Party failed to meet its legal obligations with the necessary rigour. Several key documents surfaced only on the eve of trial, while others had to be compelled by court order during proceedings. My excellent legal team is applying sustained pressure to ensure that the Defendant fully complies this time, and no stone will be left unturned.

As part of my own preparation for trial, I submitted a data subject access request. I had to endure more than a year of continued non-compliance before the Information Commissioner’s Office intervened. The ICO has since confirmed that the Green Party’s “handling of this matter has been logged on our systems as an infringement of the UK’s data protection legislation”. This happened under the new CEO's watch

Birmingham is going to be an interesting case study for sure. Judging by what happened with YP this kind of alliance is very unstable.

Internal Green document critiquing some of their existing policies has leaked. Includes pointing out complete self ID for gender isincompatible with ending women's prisons as it would give any criminal man an opt out.

Greens suspend Greenstein

https://nitter.net/Pabloite/status/2045461023847530700#m

It is all very interesting. The Greens as they expand are running into inevitable issues as their previous policies come under scrutiny.

They have had a surge of racist members joining and standing. Just like Reform they have to deal with this to get more success.

However this will will result in criticism. You already getting antisemitic comments about Polanski from the left they can expect much much more. Especially as if they win power they can't do anything about issues like Gaza anyway.

That is really bad - surely extreme animal cruelty should rule her out of any position of power? Obviously not a problem for the Greens.
