Celebrity Traitors

Apparently features Stephen Fry, which seems absolutely the right thing, given how he has already betrayed women/ gay/ lesbian rights.

Also Tom Daley - similar. Which other celebrities should go in there on these grounds? Gary Lineker? David Tennant?

Much though I love Claudia, I think the women’s rights version should be hosted by JK. And be Harry Potter themed.

Not quite celebrities but on grounds of traitorousness, Maria Miller and Theresa May who decided to give our rights away and kicked off the self id push.

Haulage · 08/10/2025 07:40

There are absolutely LOADS of politicians - Nicola Sturgeon, Penny Mordaunt, Dawn Butler, David Lammy, Alex Sopel, and on and on … we could have a politicians version!

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 08/10/2025 07:54

Sandi fucking Toksvig

deadpan · 08/10/2025 07:58

Graham Norton Alice Roberts. Robert Ince
Maisie Adams Charlotte Richie. Most of the woman's hour presenters.
Instead of JKR, the presenter should be Justin Webb or Martine Croxall

BridasShieldWall · 08/10/2025 08:28

How long before someone says Stephen Fry would make a good traitor because he is soooo intelligent.

Jallypally · 08/10/2025 14:04

This site is just a cesspool of transphobes, isn’t it?

You should 'reframe' your trauma.

MollyScout · 08/10/2025 14:56

I’m a woman and a lesbian and neither Stephen Fry or Tom Daley have in any way betrayed my rights. But then I’m also not a transphob.

Don’t speak for all women or all lesbians please.

Umidontknow · 08/10/2025 15:10

I've missed something, what has Fry done?

Rightsraptor · 08/10/2025 15:10

I'm glad to hear you aren't a transphob [sic], @MollyScout. How nice for you. Can you explain what it is though? I've never heard of that before.

I don't think any of us here claim to speak for all of any given group. I speak for me when I say no man is a woman, & I do not want any male who claims womanhood anywhere near me & mine when they shouldn't be.

I am really hoping S Fry gets tripped up by his own 'cleverness'.

I haven't heard of half of the others before.

StElwicksNeighbourhoodAssociation · 08/10/2025 15:30

You can add Nick Mohammed and Paloma Faith to the naughty step with Stephen Fry and Tom Daley.

HoneyButterPopcorn · 08/10/2025 15:31

On ‘sleb site we’ll need Sophie Ellis Baxter and davina McCall.

Jallypally · 08/10/2025 15:37

@Rightsraptor“Can you explain what it is…”? Erm, do you have a mirror handy?

TiredOldHen · 08/10/2025 15:41

Without even thinking, Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, the red headed one, David Tenant, Billie Bragg, the cast of Maiden Voyage…..I think it’s going to be a depressing long list, is there a correspondence champions list any where I could read to cheer myself up?

How do you know you're a women, how do you know you're a lesbian, given that anybody can call themselves both things, anytime they like, labels, even self IDing labels are meaningless nowadays. How do you know you're not a transphobe? 🤔

I would laugh my socks off at him going first, but he's probably taken it as a compliment.

Here to win hearts and minds I see

go you!

Jallypally · 08/10/2025 17:13

I’m not sure you can win hearts and minds on here when it comes transphobia. Everyone seems to have drunk the Kool-Aid. All you can do is keep calling it out and hope someone will step back and take a look at themselves.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 08/10/2025 17:29

I’m hoping that the people who’ve decided that men can become women on their say so and this isn’t an absurdly sexist, ludicrously unconvincing belief, and anyone who questions it in the slightest is terrible, have a little look at themselves, personally. Hope springs eternal.

weegielass · 08/10/2025 17:42

its the sort of thing Nicola Sturgeon would absolutely do, anything for money / attention.

Swiftie1878 · 08/10/2025 17:43

Really looking forward to it. Great show!

I’m not sure you’ll be able to persuade anyone to step back or to take a look at themselves given you don’t even seem able to describe what it is you think you’re ‘calling out’. Sad times
