Apparently features Stephen Fry, which seems absolutely the right thing, given how he has already betrayed women/ gay/ lesbian rights.

Also Tom Daley - similar. Which other celebrities should go in there on these grounds? Gary Lineker? David Tennant?

Much though I love Claudia, I think the women’s rights version should be hosted by JK. And be Harry Potter themed.

Cispit?

NotBadConsidering · 08/10/2025 22:31

That’s either a hate term or how New Zealanders pronounce it.

Justnot · 08/10/2025 22:34

Ooh, I see the current ploppers cheat sheet is assiduously being used -

2 uses of cesspit so far
1 use of frothing
1 Examine yourself

Shall we take bets on the rest of it?

Examine yourself - i did check my boobs yesterday , does that count?

Cispit?

Hahahaa! That's the first time I've ever found the term "cis" funny Grin

I know this is your little corner of Mumsnet and we should just leave you all to it, but since this comes up in the active section (ie we don’t actively seek you out) you should expect some of the criticism you’ve received here. It is just so strange to me that literally every single thing is viewed through your ‘gender critical’ lens. There’s lots of things I care about too, but I’m not obsessed with them in the same way. Baffling.

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 08/10/2025 22:38

I love it when an ambiguously named FWR thread shows up in active and we pick up a load of puzzled normies

<drags self back to the cesspit of hate>

come on in, the water's lovely!

Criticise away. You're not the first and you won't be the last.

ArabellaSaurus · 08/10/2025 22:45

Is it a Cispit or a Cispool?

Does anyone remember Millwall FC cancelled a women's rights meeting years back, cause they couldn't handle the flack?

😂

Oh, I know. It's so baffling when women on a Board called Feminism: Sex and Gender are talking about issues to do with sex and gender. Utterly baffling. The idea that feminists might want to talk about feminism is truly the mystery for all time.

I do stumble into The Doghouse sometimes and wonder why those crazy cats are talking about dogs. I mean, really, they're obsessed! And the less said about Style and Beauty board, the better, frankly.

(S+B board, I kid, I kid. You're far more stylish than I could even imagine myself to be).

Pretty sure statistically women are more at risk from straight, cis gender men than anyone trans. Very odd post. As this is a Mumsnet site, I really really hope that none of these parents who are transphobic through bigotry or ignorance have a child who comes out as trans. They’ll be in for a rough ride! 😢

True, there are more men without a trans identity than there are men with.

But have you thought about if you would confidently allow a trans identifying man to be alone with your 10 year old daughter in a changing room?

But keep calling women bigots and ignorant on a feminists board if it makes you feel superior.

Drunk the kool-aid?

Er, no. People here tend to believe that humans cannot change sex.
Which is factually correct. Because they can't.
(And everyone knew this until 5 minutes ago).

It is not people on here who have 'drunk the kool-aid'....

I thought jellypally was trying a 'reverse' as I think it's called (seriously, I mean when someone takes your words and throws them back at you)

Yes, the refrain was that Mumsnet have more balls than Millwall 😂

Every single thing is.... About what the board about.

Again go tell this to the cat litter board.

Baffling.

Not at all. I've just been commenting on my love of raw onions and my lack of kitchen gadgets. I popped on here to add David Tennant to the list but as someone's already mentioned him I suppose I'll have to go back to thinking about how I can get a transphobic angle into my love of raw onions sandwiches and lack of kitchen gadgets.

Just raw onions? What kind of bread? Any condiments? Much more detail required.

Oh and onions are transphobic BTW

Cesspit of Hate is tremendous band name, but I can't decide whether it's better suited to punk or death metal. Punk metal, perhaps. Does that exist?

God forbid women take a popular culture event and map it across to reality. Oh the drama with added froth.

Weneedmoreheretics · 09/10/2025 05:06

Look at % of trans identifying men in prison for sex offences, highly disproportionate, that’s proof.

You see here is what I don’t get so I’ll give you a scenario ‘Meet John’.

John is a man, some may refer to him as a cis man. He could be your friend, family, neighbour. You like John. One day John walks into the women’s toilets/changing rooms. The women feel embarrassed, maybe threatened. John knows he shouldn’t be there so leaves.

A few weeks later you meet John. John tells you he is now transitioning and now wants to be known as Joanne. He’s struggled with this for sometime and wants to be his/her authentic self. From now on John/Joanne will be using the women’s changing rooms/toilets.

John/Joanne is still the same person, but in one scenario it’s wrong, but in the second it’s okay. What has happened in those few weeks other than the person saying they are trans.
