Apparently features Stephen Fry, which seems absolutely the right thing, given how he has already betrayed women/ gay/ lesbian rights.

Also Tom Daley - similar. Which other celebrities should go in there on these grounds? Gary Lineker? David Tennant?

Much though I love Claudia, I think the women’s rights version should be hosted by JK. And be Harry Potter themed.

Anyway, back to the OP!

To be honest, there could be an all Scottish version!

Nicola Sturgeon
Iona Fyfe
Alan Cumming
David Tennant

List goes on...

Pretty sure statistically women are more at risk from straight, cis gender men than anyone trans. Very odd post. As this is a Mumsnet site, I really really hope that none of these parents who are transphobic through bigotry or ignorance have a child who comes out as trans. They’ll be in for a rough ride! 😢

@BettyBooper There is no discussion. It’s just a hate-filled, ranty echo chamber. Yuck!

You want to discuss whether it's possible to change sex?

Okay, over to you... Do you think people can change sex?

And another for the bingo card!

So wise, so amusing 😴

Have you heard Barbie Kardashian yet?

I think the bus driver for the Reddit return journey must be on his tea break. He's probably popped to shop to get a cheeky wee packet of Jammie Dodgers to go with his tea. He's not sharing, mind!

DrBlackbird · 08/10/2025 20:46

FGS whatever you do, anyone who starts a FWR thread from now on must include ’trans’ in the title so these poor startled #bekinds aren’t exposed to us meanies worried about women’s rights and child safeguarding.

Yuck! Yuck? Are these drive by scolders getting younger?

Oh excellent, an actual discussion point. Not about the thread topic, but I guess you’re still learning

btw, check out those MoJ statistics first though, we’ve all already seen that this point is factually incorrect

You are misinformed. It's not whether a person is 'trans' or not that is the pertinent risk factor. It's their sex.

Although, worth looking at the prison stats for proportion of transwomen who are sex offenders, if you're into data.

How long before someone says Stephen Fry would make a good traitor because he is soooo intelligent.

See also, it doesn’t matter that Tom Daley deigns to know what a woman is when he wants to use their body to provide him with a baby because he KNITS.

Tell him to get a shift on. It's a school night!

They’re more at risk from men, regardless of gender identity.

Has anyone seen the clip from Big Brother? I don't watch either programmes but some woman on it has been threatened with eviction for asking a Pansexual did they like pans and that transmen don't have a penis. It's all over X. The clip of her being told off is really quite disturbing. I suppose she should be grateful they didn't put a bucket of rats on her head.
Hope she takes them to court when she gets out for expressing perfectly legal opinions.

That’s not what the prison stats would suggest, which is that trans identifying men are overrepresented amongst offenders convicted of sex crimes.

And that’s ignoring the nonsense of your “straight, cis gender” statement. ‘Lesbian’ TiMs are also straight men.

Well he thinks that the girls overrated in Rochdale were ‘child prostitutes’, amongst other things. See link

Not even touching on his ‘interesting’ (published) views on pederasty.

So overjoyed this cesspit of hate showed up on my feed.

ArabellaSaurus · 08/10/2025 21:43

'cesspit of hate' the phrase du jour, then?

Sounds like we're in a death metal band.

🤘

Waitwhat23 · 08/10/2025 21:45

Ooh, I see the current ploppers cheat sheet is assiduously being used -

2 uses of cesspit so far
1 use of frothing
1 Examine yourself

Shall we take bets on the rest of it?

ArabellaSaurus · 08/10/2025 21:47

Cesspit of hate.

When I were young it were a nest o vipers, and I was grateful.

NotBadConsidering · 08/10/2025 22:15

I were in pits before they were cess, and it was just a bit of dislike, not hate. Don’t know how lucky you are.
