What are y'alls thoughts on this collection of anecdotes?

We’re not in Kansas here, you know.

TeenToTwenties · 06/10/2025 19:52

I think it is sad if people are having negative experiences due to the laws on single sex spaces now being enforced properly. They were sold a lie and got used to it.

Women now feel empowered to challenge whereas before they were scared.

Alucard55 · 06/10/2025 19:57

I've read a few stories and my thoughts are I just don't care about men who pretend they are women then get all arsey because they're told they can't use women's single sex facilities.

Wimxn... FOLD!! Do as you're told!!

murasaki · 06/10/2025 19:59

Oh dear, how sad, what a shame.

Just obey the law. And employers should too.

TomorrowisMonday · 06/10/2025 20:03

I'm not a fan of threads that just start with a link and "what do you think"? At least summarise.

TomorrowisMonday · 06/10/2025 20:04

There are also cyber security risks. I wouldn't download any random documents y'alls.

ErrolTheDragon · 06/10/2025 20:08

My thoughts on any collection of anecdotes is that they’re not data.

Y’know, not like the data on increased prevelance of sexual misconduct in mixed vs single sex facilities.

CassOle · 06/10/2025 20:08

Decent people (including those who are trans identified) will obey the law.

Tiredofwhataboutery · 06/10/2025 20:09

I did read a bit tbh it was pretty much what I expected. Butch lesbian called out for being in ladies. Sad times for trans women as employers have told them to head to gents or gender neutral. Gay men being unwelcome in gents. Trans men being identified as men in ladies. Employers of Tim’s informally saying you need a penis use the gents. Lots of supportive sad people about this terrible state of affairs.

If only I had a bingo card.

I possibly didn’t read closely enough but not one word of apology to anyone for wrongfully using single sex spaces all this time. Sad, sad, times.

LadyBracknellsHandbagg · 06/10/2025 20:12

It’s still no y’all.

SirBasil · 06/10/2025 20:28

i had friends from South Carolina who told me that in regular parlance "y'all" is singular and if you want to address multiple people you have to say "all y'all"

lcakethereforeIam · 06/10/2025 20:30

I thought it was y'alls? Every day's a school day.

AstonScrapingsNameChange · 06/10/2025 20:33

I haven't rtf link, but I doubt it's actual 'trans segregation' as in all the trans people being rounded up and made to use separate facilities.
Because that would be, you know, illegal.

Sounds like the usual whining at having to follow the very same rules re sex segregated facilities as everyone else.

If we hadn't had years of trans identified males forcing themselves into places they weren't welcome (or legally allowed), no one would be questioning butch looking women.

Having been a butch looking woman at times, I'd much rather be questioned than have another woman be worried about my presence.

I like to think that's probably because I'm not a selfish arsehole.

SinnerBoy · 06/10/2025 20:36

I'm not going to download some load of self pitying shite from Trans Actual. If you want to C&P some quotes, I'll give you an opinion.

Haulage · 06/10/2025 20:37

Are the people at Transactual still whinging about other people having rights too? Or is this an old document from their earlier whinge?

Dominoodles · 06/10/2025 20:38

The answer is still no. Drop it.

Shedmistress · 06/10/2025 20:38

I dont click on that sort of shite so you will have to expand a bit.

Shodan · 06/10/2025 20:38

If men dressed as women hadn't viciously demanded complete capitulation and access to female facilities, none of this would have happened.

'Butch' women wouldn't have been accosted in the women's loos, because no-one would have thought that men would be in there.

As it is, there is no 'trans segregation'. Transmen (females) can still use women's facilities, as they have always been able to do. Transwomen (males) must use the men's facilities. If they feel it is unsafe for them, they must start their own campaign to improve the situation therein.

cariadlet · 06/10/2025 20:45

How fantastic to hear so many examples of men being excluded from women's spaces to protect women's privacy, safety and dignity.

Always wise. Hence I don’t think many of us have downloaded the pdf. Sadly archive sites did not work for me.

I thought it was y'alls? Every day's a school day.

I prefer the Scots 'yees' or 'yous'.

Helleofabore · 06/10/2025 21:27

Have female people been weaponised again to leverage male people into female single sex provisions?

Well, I never. Having been asked if I was in the right toilet decades ago, as have many many other female people, why the fuck do people think this is new and different? It isn’t.

It was always just one way, maybe one of the only ways for some areas, for female people to monitor their spaces for their own comfort and other female people using the space. A calm reply of ‘yes I am female’ will generally provide enough interaction for another female person to correctly identify the person’s sex.

Apparently, it is now being weaponised to let male people access spaces they should not be in.
