I never had Rucolino @PastaAllaNorma but Ramazotti (the Amaro, not Eros, although he probably too) is very popular in Germany and whenever I visit, there is Ramazotti to drink either when I pop in to see old neighbours and friends or when they come to see me at my mum's house. Birds essentially are dinosaurs. It always leaves me a little gobsmacked to know that the Tyrannosaurus rex is closer in time to the house sparrow than it is to the Stegosaurus. Iirc.

I am not, broadly speaking, enthusiastic about aniseed flavoured drinks. The one exception that I would make is Ouzo. A glass of good Ouzo over ice with a plate of salted anchovies drizzled with olive oil is the perfect aparatif while perusing a Greek menu.

It's still quite warm here, but distinctly autumnal. I have a casserole in the slow cooker in honour of the season, and am feeling all domestic goddess as a result.

It's a bit challenging without opposable thumbs, but I'm managing.
