Valore D
Leonardo has participated in Valore D since 2019. This association of businesses promotes gender equality and an inclusive culture both within organisations and more widely in Italy. This collaboration is part of Leonardo’s broader commitment to promote gender diversity, not just as a factor in equality and responsibility but also to support innovation, competitiveness and, therefore, growth.

Froim there I scrolled around a bit and found this archived page from 2022, which I think is interesting. (I'm in web browser using google translate)

"Inclusion, diversity, and high levels of equity are not only associated with greater innovation and productivity within companies, but also facilitate the acquisition of new young talent: a phenomenon highlighted by the study "Rethink & Broaden Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to create competitive advantage," conducted by the Boston Consulting Group (March 2022). According to the report, 24% of Italian companies now incorporate these objectives into their business strategy, investing in DE&I for a truly inclusive supply chain that appeals to Generation Z."
Basically, it looks to me as though Leonardo.com isn't necessarily led from the top by true believers. It's a distinct strategy for a defence industry company to attract young employees. Recruitment has probably taken a particular hit because of opposition to war on Ukraine, Palestine, etc, and bringing your whole self to work presumably helps takes the edge of being involved in design, engineering & production of arms?
Also once you click to the values page you leave the dedicated UK pages, so they may have been more influenced by international policy direction rather than UK law?
