Shon does not understand why the 'trans rights' movement got pushback.

'The middle-class trans micro-economy that boomed in the 2010s: Pride month corporate sponsorship, jobs at LGBT charities, DEI talks and panels, diversity modelling and ad campaigns, progressive theatre, educational books about being trans etc, which some of us used to make a living, has gone'

That's quite an admission of a zeitgeist shift

I think he's right to be worried about this. It's about to swing way too far in the other direction. Being unemployable and actively discriminated against in society is not a good place to be.

Judging by the behaviour of so many people claiming a trans identity that we come across, they would help their employability by being less disruptive, narcissistic and demanding and start to understand that other people exist in society .

I’m sure it would do them the world of good as well.

Yes, exactly. I admit I myself would not hire a transperson - or at least a transwoman (more than likely I would a trans man), as it's too great a risk that they would sue or cause so much trouble. For example, I would never allow a transwoman to use female toilets or join a female group at work, nor would I respect their mis-sexed pronouns. That would make their daily work life untenable for them. But I simply don't care, I would not cater to them. It's too risky and dangerous to hire them, and they've made it so. They've done themselves out of employment by their narcissistic, batshit demands. Any unemployment or discrimination they face they have 100% entirely brought it on themselves.

Isn't it just.

“ we are about to become significantly less employable as a class, especially transwomen”

Oh the irony. Welcome to the Wonderful World of Women’s Work Inequality.

At least you won’t be missing out on pension build up due to taking time out to rear children, but if you want to be a woman at work watch out for being the invisible woman in the meeting, having your previously ignored ideas re spoken by men, being the one who has to stand firm about being asked to organise the room, order the coffee, arrange for the distribution of minutes etc. And watch out for the old chestnut of unequal pay - these day disguised as poorer promotion prospects . Hang on to that male entitlement dear, you are going to need it!

Haha, so true!

And I wouldn't mind, but if they hadn't made themselves so fricking obnoxious in the first place no-one would be turning a hair.

Their lack of prospects is fuck all to do with being trans, and everything to do with being tossers.
