Pretty shocking but it seems they think they're right.

I haven’t attributed gender to anyone.

Personally I use gender and sex interchangeably, so every time youve insinuated that I am male, youve attributed a male gender to me because I have a different opinion to you.

LetMeGoogleThat · 04/09/2025 08:41

OTW have form for discrimination, I made a complaint about them back in 2016. My complaint was their blanket ban on all children and YPs with ASD, with no discussion or consideration about individual needs.

”I think part of the reason they want to blur the definition of women and men is for men to get access to children.”

So you can tell what genitals a person has because they talk a certain way. So let's say I am definitely a woman, and you say this to me, what if I assume I must be male then and want to chop my boobs off? I cant be a real woman by your estimation of how all women are.

Then you’d be stupid.

I was told I shouldn’t be good at maths and engineering (by boys at school who didn’t like me beating them in tests).

I was not dumb enough to think “but I am good at maths, so perhaps that means I should chop my tits off”.

I just thought “I am me and I am good at maths and you’re all a bunch of idiots if you think that makes me not female. Why does being good at maths change my sex?”

No it really isn't. Firstly as I've said, none of the usual risks of speaking your mind are here and secondly, women are being taught to be less passive in their actions and words anyway. Online seems a good place to start.

Lastly, as Ive also.said before, we haven't all been raised the same way even if we are all women. Things like culture, class and generational experiences will shape that.

A poor Black woman who grew up in Tottenham is going to come across as rather different than a wealthy white woman from Chandlers Ford.

Blame the women and loudly proclaim that women are to blame.

In this case youd be one of the idiots saying I must be a boy, you get that, right?

Trite personal attacks
Waa waa waa look at me

Did you ever even express an opinion on why the staff decided that it was OK to discriminate against a child?

No, I don’t get that. It’s the opposite of what I just said.

You seem to be confused between a study showing average differences in communication style, and then taking that to mean that your communication style therefore dictates your sex. And that you must therefore change your “sex” by chopping your tits off. That is stupid reasoning.

Both can be true. Make and female communication styles can be different on average. And, any individual female can communicate in a more “masculine” style and vice versa.

I don’t care what sex you are. I haven’t made any accusation about your sex. People in here have accused you of being male because of the average communication style differences that people come across all the time in every day interactions. All you can do is say “no, I’m female.” The argument isn’t going to be settled here is it? You know who you are, that should be enough.

To then say “what if that makes me think I am male and have to cut my boobs off” is stupid hyperbole, displaying no sense of personal autonomy. Which is why I gave my school example previously.

But I note you use sex and gender interchangeably, so that makes it hard to communicate unambiguously.

I would stop bothering that people in here think you are male and get on with your life.

I am old enough to remember so when I first encountered the GI cult I got a strong whiff of PIE.

SouthWamses · 04/09/2025 09:21

It is entirely disingenuous of someone to post on a board titled “Feminism: sex and gender discussions” and claim faux innocence about ‘using sex and gender interchangeably’.

Yes indeed. A strong whiff of PIE.

Queer is another version of PIE. Every significant queer theory academic is a supporter of child abuse.

If you use the terms interchangeably, it follows you believe they mean the same thing? And that the state of being referred to as 'gender' is in fact another way of describing one's sex? So what do you think is going on with the trans child at the camp then? If their gender is 'boy', then to you this must mean their sex is male. So why are they trans?

Namelessnelly · 04/09/2025 12:53

Ihavetoask · 04/09/2025 07:25

Why because women are meant to be sickly sweet and passive in their communications or they aren't real women?

We get told to use a kinder tone a lot on here. Apparently posters agree with what we say but not the way we say it. So I’m just letting you know why you may be read as male. I don’t really care either way tbh. You do you. I was just trying to #bekind

Thank you for proving my point about the opinions of the average MN user. You do indeed subscribe to rigid gendered thinking. It is helpful to have direct posts to link to when examples of this are needed. Would you like to add anything else about men and women?

If you think TheBlack Cat is the average MN user, let me suggest that you may be very much mistaken. Her posting style and content are quite different from various other MN regulars.
