Where do people think the transvestites have gone?

I remember a time when a distinction was made between transexuals and transvestites, and there was a recognition that the latter category often cross dressed for fetishistic reasons.

But now everyone is just trans. So regarding those who advocate for any man who says he is trans to access women's single sex spaces, where do they think all the transvestites have gone?

Take a step back and see how your posts are making you look utterly juvenile.

Have you ever encountered 'critical thinking'? It can come in very handy when composing posts that you want to be taken seriously.

There are plenty of transvestites ( autogynephiles) and prominent trans activists who have spoken very openly about the sexual motivations of their obsession.
Go back to the first page of this thread if you want to see some examples ( Grace Lavery, Andrea Long Chu amongst others). and prominent voices in Britain too......Debbie Hayton, Miranda Yardley.

Crazytimes41 · 15/09/2025 08:49

Critical thinking doesn’t mean posting one example fits all.

That’s like posting an example of Rosemary west as an example of all women or on Simpson as an example of all black men.

thats not what critical thinking is dear. 😂🤡

bless ❤️

Isn't it strange, that since so many speech rules and laws have been imposed, the worse this country has become.

I have a theory that the word rules keep changing frequently, so as to trip up the innocent user, in order that the virtue signaller can jump in and correct them.

Doesn’t that happen in ‘1984’?

It was but ONE example. I made no claims for ALL. but I've linked to other examples earlier in the thread.

Not necessarily overtly abused, no...but children under parental pressure to perform gender stereotypes or preferences also susceptible, especially if they are nascently gay or lesbian ( See the son of 'Susie Green' whose husband had a real issue with a son who might potentially be gay).

See 'La Petite Fille' - a french documentary about a young boy, age 4, whose mother admits she was absolutely desperate for a girl ( but got him instead) and who spent hours dressing him in girls clothes and brushing his long hair......went on to believe he actually was a girl.

Children grow up in the atmosphere created by the parental psyche and are naturally very receptive to it. Gay clinicians at the Tavistock clinic said that some of the parents bringing their children for gender treatement were clearly homophobic, and that they were 'transing' gay children.

Children inhabit a fluid and imaginal world whilst their identify starts to solidify and take shape.

I'm still waiting for you to explain why men crossdress if it's not a fetish.

I've asked several times and you still haven't answered.

I can draw my own conclusions for your lack of response.

Ah I see we've been visited by the Trancels. A particularly bigoted, ageist, misogynistic version.

Is Reddit down or something?

I think it's our mate Howse under another sock. The language and emjois are basically identical. He must have run out of Andrew Tate videos to jerk his little 4 incher to.

100% this My XH is one but he"s now getting free electrolysis, a book job and facial feminiastion surgery for free on.the NHS. Nice of the tax payer to fund him getting his rocks off.

This will never not piss me off. Actual women who struggle with their bodies and who would likely benefit from breast enhancement or electrolysis are told to fund it themselves. Yet men who want to be women get it on the NHS for free? This should be self funded, not funded by the tax payer.

Crazytimes, you said you have facts but I haven't seen any. Could you share what you know about crossdressing and the reasons for it?

I found this after quickly googling:
Transvestism involves recurrent, intense sexual arousal from cross-dressing. Transvestic disorder is transvestism that causes significant distress or substantially interferes with daily functioning.

From the mental disorder handbook

Please share your data.

To answer OPs question, transvestites are under the umbrella of trans and denying that is one of the reasons women are so pissed off.

Who are the men who like to cross dress but it's not a fetish? (Apart from the group who would like to be women or are gay).

(Looking back i can only see men who eventually came out as gay or those who got a sexual kick in my life experience)

Walking through my town centre the other day, I spotted a man sat outside a cafe. Likely in his 60's, dressed like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. Blond bob wig, leather mini skirt and thigh high stiletto boots. There is no way he wasn't playing out some kind of fetish. I can't see any other reason for the fact that so many dress like hookers or porn stars in public.

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 15/09/2025 18:16

When I read ‘dressed like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman’ I imagined the brown polka dot dress. If I was going to pick an outfit from that film, that’s the one I’d go for. But of course it was the thigh high boots when it’s a man doing the choosing.

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 15/09/2025 18:19

There was a sixty something man in my local high street this weekend wearing a Union Jack mini dress, hair in pigtails and, but of course, knee high boots. But it’s not a fetish, obvs

I am a crossdresser/transvestite/gender fluid person, I really don’t have a label for myself, I just enjoy presenting as female (which I do in public at the office once a week), I really find it difficult to put into words why I do it, it’s just something I really enjoy and get a deep sense of satisfaction from (and it’s nice to have lovely coloured hair instead of my standard grey and receding hairline)

Tadpolesinponds · 27/11/2025 15:15

In case this hasn't been posted yet. This doctor ran an NHS gender dysphoria clinic for over 10 years. It was open to all. He found that a very large number of the people who came were transvestites. They were men attracted to wearing women's clothes. They did not consider themselves to be women and didn't want to be women. Interestingly, this wasn't a sexual fetish for all of them. Some of them were attracted to wearing women's clothes, without getting a sexual kick out of it. He says at some point, maybe in this video, that he saw a lot of men who basically dressed up as their mothers. This was because they had some kind of a trauma issue related to their mothers. He said this was almost always confirmed by them during psychotherapy.

Tadpolesinponds · 27/11/2025 15:17

I used to know a family (with primary age daughters) where the father when at home dressed up in girls' school uniform, including mini-skirt. Before the trans movement, he described himself as a transvestite. Since the trans movement he has described himself as trans. He taught his daughters that when you meet someone new you need to ask them what their gender is. They were very caught up in trans ideology, clearly taught by him. He clearly espouses transgenderism because it supports his transvesticism.

That goes for a very significant proportion of trans identified men these days. People like Joss Prior who 'transitioned' fully about 10 years ago when his daughters were aged 8 and 12.

A google search about where to buy tights brought up Mumsnet, and I thought I would see if there were any posts on crossdressing which brought me to this post and I wanted to add my view on crossdressing and why I do it.

Is it just the crossdressing or being seen crossdressing that gives you this deep sense of satisfaction?

Tadpolesinponds · 27/11/2025 17:19

A transvestite is not the same as a man with AGP. The first wants to wear women's clothes (this may or may not be a sexual fetish). The second is sexually aroused by having breasts / a "vagina". I learned this from Az Hakeem - see on YouTube. He ran a gender dysphoria clinic for the NHS.

Christine Burns & Press for Change campaigned to blur the boundaries so that they all just came under ‘trans’.

My priority, whatever men are wearing or however happy it might make them, is that they stay out of women’s spaces.

Although I don’t see why men can’t have ‘lovely coloured hair’ while presenting as men.

Do other people dress up in your office? Have you ever had someone come in dressed like a cowboy or a vampire or dressed like a penguin?

In what way for you "enjoy" presenting as female? Do you enjoy it more when you are with other people or do you prefer to do it by yourself?

He is one of the most important voices on trans issues IMHO. Wonderful man.
