Those hot chocolates do look rather luscious - could I have one, please? It will go nicely with my afternoon of watching David Suchet as Poirot, and knitting. It is raining here, but dh has donned his long coat, hat and wellies and gone out with the dogs - he is mad.
Later we are going to attempt a video call with dh’s very deaf and elderly father. Dh’s brother and his wife are staying with him at the moment, so they will be facilitating this - just as well, as FIL has never mastered technology.
We are all rather worried about him - he has all sorts of health issues and every time BIL and SIL see him (every few weeks, at the moment) they say he is looking more and more frail. His GP would like him to be in a home, but FIL refuses point blank - he wants to stay in his little flat until he is carried out feet first - so we have talked him into having a cleaner once a fortnight, and a carer twice a week. I suspect he is hoping he won’t wake up one morning.
It is really difficult for dh - FIL is at the end of Cornwall, and we are near Glasgow, and it is a major trek for him to go and see his dad - plus it is really difficult for me if he’s away over night. We have asked him if he’s move closer to us or to BIL but he refused that too.
