As expected the staff member was just doing their job, something that happens thousands of times a day in shops all over the country.

As per normal, the trans panic was manufactured.

I fully expect all the GCs and media pundits who were pushing all sorts of hate to apologise, but as a person on their second LGBTQ moral panic I know very well how it goes.

His original tweet was as I understand it attempting to justify the men posting on X about their plans to harrass female M&S staff by booking a bra fitting appointment?

So he plops down on MN and missed or dismisses yhe posters explaining why M&S needed to safeguard both staff from pervy men and allegations of sexual misconduct and customers from pervy men and (yep your right) allegations of sexual.🚩🚩🚩

Interesting that M&S are fitting by eye, but I’m sure certain customers will still find the whole bra chat ‘validating’.

I know Rigby and Peller have fitted by eye for years as a friend used to go to the London store.

In my experience they do mostly fit by eye.

Daughter had first bra fitted at John Lewis. Fitter looked at her (with clothes on, obviously), brought a few to try on, left the room until called back to check the fit (mostly by eye, some adjustment of straps after asking permission to do so).

Similar experience for me at Bravissimo (sadly now closed locally).

Oh Lordy, I had a look back on the Bunny Botherer’s TwiX and he’s obsessed with how much he thinks women talk about bras.

Not weird or creepy at all. He really took offence at this response.

Most of the X responses were along the lines of "it's even creepier searching Mumsnet for bra chat." Or TBF I once mentioned a bra in 1997 (!).

I did a quick Mumsnet "bra" search and it's mainly "Help! I can't find a bra that is comfortable and/or supports me properly."

Occasionally "Hallelujah for the first time ever I've found a comfortable bra!".

There's nothing wrong with chatting about bras it's just there's generally not a lot of interesting things to say.

Possibly, maybe. Let's just say they claim they did however no photos from the actual fitting and carrying a bag outside the store doesn't really prove much. Photo will take time to load

Hes one who in part i think jumped on the bandwagon to "hide" his contempt of women [he gets to be an abusive man in plain sight] which is sad but not suprising.

Yeah it isn't breasts that get fitted it's the bra. They don't just hover.

Relates to TRA claims their breasts are the same as women's. Nah.

Men have different, usually wider rib cages. Hormones don't change skeletons. Women's breasts often change size and shape during their monthly cycle. Probably a few other differences.

I wouldn't have want to fit a transwoman bra without appropriate training, and of course my actual consent.
