Why? Why do they need weapons? 🤔

Well well well

How interesting.

And completely unsurprising.

The annual thread picking out one placard out of tens of thousands and being presented as representative of a protest of 100,000 people took a bit longer than I’d have expected.

As has the erasure of the thousands of biologically female people - cisgender women, trans men and non binary people - who marched yesterday.

What’s a cisgender woman when it’s at home? And why should people not point out threats of violence and death towards women? I didn’t see anyone taking those signs down. Which I presume means that those marching agreed with the sentiments. I take it from your post you agree woman should not have sex based rights. Why not?

So many attendees and not one told them their signs were offensive. Shocking

I know right. It just shows how much the trans community hate women. And yes I’m including all of them because not one transperson has condemned the death threats, rape threats and violence and abuse that women recieve from the TRA.

And all of a sudden biological sex is easy to define. It's been quite a ride.

singthing · 27/07/2025 20:36

At every single LWS event or similar women-led get together I have been shocked at the contrast between women in jeans and t-shirts singing and talking; vs black-shorted me in balaclavas, hoodies, masks and other similarly deliberately menacing military-esque garb with ersatz weapons and similar threatening accessories and stuff.

I can't believe they don't all crack up laughing at how ridiculous they look lined up like that.

Erasure? How have they been erased? The march has been reported in a major newspaper and is now being discussed here.

Looking forward to a proper explanation of the concept of erasure, rather than just word salad.

Also, an explanation of why trans women need weapons would be useful, while you're at it...

I know. I think our resident TRA need to get their stories straight. Either sex is a nebulous dog whistle no one can define or it’s not. How did they know those people marching were women? I thought no one could define women.

And if anything is going to bite you on the arse, it's anarchy!

Many, many years ago i was a member of the Cambridge Anarchists. We eventually folded because we could never agree on the time and place of our meetings. Utterly ineffectual. 😂

Well yeah, surely organisation is the enemy of anarchy 😂😂😂

EdithStourton · 27/07/2025 20:49

On the plus side, we live in the UK where it is fairly complicated to get your hands on a shotgun licence - never mind one for a rifle.

Plod, it is true, does cock up sometimes, but the terrible consequences of doing so mean that the system, while it's not perfect, is very robust.

No.
Tactics of threats, VAWG, coercive control, bullying and intimidation are a regular feature seen in trans ideology - as evidenced every time women meet and are faced with masked goons with placards issuing threats against women. Even at the smallest of meetings.
It's not a thread on Mumsnet that's the problem. It's countless emotionally unhinged adults tantruming and issuing threats

Time to start complying with the law and the social contract. Oh and stopping bullying and intimidating those with different views is also helpful.

Absolutely! Women are being threatened and intimidated by these thugs who are complaining that they are being erased. It is women who are on the receiving end of violence

I mean, they made a comment about how lesbians are attracted to other women, not men with gender recognition certificates. That was definitely outside the scope of the question!

I think you are misrepresenting that section of the judgment. In context, the section you are referencing was entirely appropriate and relevant.

Have you read many case decisions?

It is completely normal to cover off all angles of an argument to exhaustion to test the validity of the decision being made. They wouldn't be performing their role if they didn't do that.

Lol, yes I have read many judgments, I am a lawyer.

And I read this one in detail.

Helleofabore · 27/07/2025 20:58

our community came together to show what real strength, solidarity and care looks like

What? Such as moob protests? Or piss protests? Or protests where women’s and girl’s voices are drowned out by intimidating and voilent male people?

I guess the more these happen, the less people who believe this group of male people really are vulnerable and marginalised. Operation: Let them speak!

Last summer there was one of those LWS events near me, so I went along to have a look (first time). I knew more or less what to expect, cos I'd read threads here, and seen the vids on YouTube, But the difference, being there, was the noise! The din of shouting, jeering, and klaxons drowning out the women's voices. Intending to be intimidating, and it was.

PonyPatter44 · 27/07/2025 21:00

Nicholas Prosper made a fake shotgun licence in order to buy the weapon he then used to murder his family, including his mother and 13 year old sister. While I generally laugh at the sad sack TRAs, I actually think that some of them do pose a potential genuine risk, and im quite concerned by it.

Or the protest outside FiLiA in Portsmouth, in a busy central square. I don’t think there was any violence, to be fair.

But they did drown out the women inside who were talking about their experiences of being trafficked for sex.

They walked round carrying Amnesty-branded placards reading I AM WHO I SAY I AM, a message which surely goes against all safeguarding principles (Jimmy Savile, Wayne Couzens & Stephen Ireland are just three examples of men who wanted people to believe that they were who they said they were).

And they chalked obscene drawings & phrases in an area that children were passing through.

Are we supposed to ignore that too?

I was early to one once. There were just 3 of us, none of us especially big, & the TRAs surrounded us, yelling & waving their placards. One of them was waving a flag that kept landing on our faces. It was extremely scary.

Katkins17 · 27/07/2025 21:09

Because they’re men, and inherently violent, and we’re saying No and they hate it when women do that.

But the powers that be will still be sycophantically moping their brow and calling the poor dears vulnerable!’

How can you fail to acknowledge that, ultimately, and as per an adapted version of the first rule of misogyny, it will always be the fault of CLAW? (I adore Naomi Cunningham’s turn of phrase.)

There is no such thing as a non binary human, there never has been, there never will be. Every single person who ever existed was - binary - male or female.
