I don't understand all this vitriol directed towards the Supreme Court judges who clarified the law on the EQ (or maybe I do, because TRAs are fucking insane).

The judgement didn't say that any of the judges AGREED with the Equality Act's definition of sex. Those judges could be paid up members of every rainbow PRIDE group the length and breadth of the UK, for all anyone knows. They simply came to a decision, "this is what the law says". That's all. They weren't asked to rule on whether or not they agreed with it.

But aren't they always wanging on that they're at high risk of suicide and have the severest MH problems of anyone anywhere ever? So why would they think anyone in their right mind would let them have weapons?!

Surely it's men trying to erase non conforming men by pretending they're women rather than men in dresses? They can have them back!

My personal opinion is that they went into more detail than they strictly needed to for the purposes of the question being asked, and probably wouldn't have done if they didn't agree with it.

This really makes me think how vulnerable trans women seem.

I suspect if they went into more detail than was needed (I can't speak to that), it was to make sure every 'i' was dotted and every 't' crossed, to justify their ruling to the enth degree in a futile bid to satisfy the unsatisfiable.

And probably to reduce the risk of a nutter on a rooftop with a long range rifle outside their house.

I mean, they made a comment about how lesbians are attracted to other women, not men with gender recognition certificates. That was definitely outside the scope of the question!

At a time when the Supreme Court is making sweeping decisions about trans people without consulting a single trans person or organisation, and when a small, well-funded lobby of anti-trans campaigners continues to dominate headlines and waste public resources, our community came together to show what real strength, solidarity and care looks like.
