Ah the usual transperbole

Butchyrestingface · 27/07/2025 18:50

Why? Why do they need weapons?

Because if you don't think exactly the way TRAs insist on, then you must die. Simples.

It makes me fearful for some GC allies. JKR can afford her own round-the-clock ex-SAS SWAT team style bodyguards. The woman who is the CEO of For Women Scotland won't be able to. Sad

MissScarletInTheBallroom · 27/07/2025 18:50

Yes, giving weapons to a bunch of violent angry men, what could possibly go wrong?

They get more mental by the day.

And every day someone else with a fancy sounding job title demonstrates that they don't understand the role of the Supreme Court. (Hint: it's not to "consult trans people" on matters of law.)

MrsTerryPratchett · 27/07/2025 18:51

DARVO-tastic.

MarvellousMonsters · 27/07/2025 18:56

““The message was clear: we will not be erased. Our existence is natural, historic and enduring.
You can try to take away our rights, but you will never remove us from society”

is anyone trying to erase (I always feel this is used as a euphemism for execution) or remove any rights from anyone?? This statements seem deliberately dramatic and inflammatory.

Nope! The things they stole were never rights but tbh it's the usual testerical nindehsec

Screamingabdabz · 27/07/2025 18:58

This is very worrying. And yes very DARVO.

Butchyrestingface · 27/07/2025 18:59

I don't understand all this vitriol directed towards the Supreme Court judges who clarified the law on the EQ (or maybe I do, because TRAs are fucking insane).

The judgement didn't say that any of the judges AGREED with the Equality Act's definition of sex. Those judges could be paid up members of every rainbow PRIDE group the length and breadth of the UK, for all anyone knows. They simply came to a decision, "this is what the law says". That's all. They weren't asked to rule on whether or not they agreed with it.

WomenShouldStillWinWomensSportsIsBack · 27/07/2025 18:59

But aren't they always wanging on that they're at high risk of suicide and have the severest MH problems of anyone anywhere ever? So why would they think anyone in their right mind would let them have weapons?!

DarkForces · 27/07/2025 19:00

Surely it's men trying to erase non conforming men by pretending they're women rather than men in dresses? They can have them back!

My personal opinion is that they went into more detail than they strictly needed to for the purposes of the question being asked, and probably wouldn't have done if they didn't agree with it.

Mumofteenandtween · 27/07/2025 19:02

This really makes me think how vulnerable trans women seem.

I suspect if they went into more detail than was needed (I can't speak to that), it was to make sure every 'i' was dotted and every 't' crossed, to justify their ruling to the enth degree in a futile bid to satisfy the unsatisfiable.

And probably to reduce the risk of a nutter on a rooftop with a long range rifle outside their house.

I mean, they made a comment about how lesbians are attracted to other women, not men with gender recognition certificates. That was definitely outside the scope of the question!

At a time when the Supreme Court is making sweeping decisions about trans people without consulting a single trans person or organisation, and when a small, well-funded lobby of anti-trans campaigners continues to dominate headlines and waste public resources, our community came together to show what real strength, solidarity and care looks like.

Do they mean us? 😀

Just posted on another thread:

Transgender Identity Is Associated With Bullying Involvement Among Finnish Adolescents

sounds about right if we consider Upton.

Logistic regression revealed that non-binary identity was most strongly associated with involvement in bullying, followed by opposite sex identity and cisgender identity. Transgender identities were also more strongly associated with perpetration of bullying than subjection to bullying.

They do bless them. It’s adorable

hholiday · 27/07/2025 19:35

Why are they allowed to march about cities threatening women in this way? The authorities have got to get a grip.

LemonLymanDotCom · 27/07/2025 19:37

They proclaim themselves to be anarchists, so what do you expect? It’s not exactly a peaceful ideology, what with the destruction of society as we understand it.

They wouldn’t know anarchy if it bit them on their asses.

And if anything is going to bite you on the arse, it's anarchy!

Male violence really screams femininity.

Exactly. They seem to think that in a society in anarchy, they would somehow be the winners. I don’t think they understand what anarchy is. It’s like the TRA who claim to be communists cos they think they’ll be able to not work and live fully funded lifestyles. Like I said, they’re adorable lol.

Because despite the endless whining about victimisation they're in fact pretty much allowed to do what they like
