In all my years on this, I have never, NEVER seen anyone tell trans they "shouldn't 'eXiSt' " Not once. That's a load of bullshit. They 'exist'. They exist as human beings. They exist as male or female. The pushback is by feminists because males identifying as transwomen eroded our boundaries, entered our safe female only spaces, and cheated us out of medals. Feminists started getting justifiably angry and pushed back. It is transwomen that won't let us females live our lives away from males however they identify.

Pride is unnecessary provocative. I don't think men dressed in thongs and dog ears celebrate or represent our sexuality in a positive light at all. Look at how decent and respectful pride marches used to be, people dressed like normal, simply marching hand in hand for equality of marriage and love. Now it's been co-opted.

Yes, that is truly sad.

In order for trans to not be a mental illness - because believing your soul has been born into the wrong body and needs drastic medical alterations to fix the problem sure sounds like a mental illness to me - it requires the existence of what’s known as an “innate gender identity”. We have been asking for proof of the existence of such a thing but none seems to be forthcoming, to the bafflement of no one.

So the question is why should someone be arrested for a sign stating a perfectly valid opinion?

I agree it was a stupid thing to do. I would have preferred it better if it was a womens rights sign if they were going to gatecrash Pride. That would have made more sense.

But the frustrating thing is, trans are allowed to do it to us and get away with it, yet we have to hold back because of their as you said 'most vulnerable ever' victims narrative. It just really doesn't seem fair.

But LWS isn't a protest. It's an opportunity for, duh, women to speak about women's rights.

So rocking up & trying to threaten & menace those women into shutting up...is not a counter protest. It's just threatening & menacing behaviour.

Julia Serano was mentioned as evidence that there has been research which says that Blanchard is wrong.

The "research" even stated in its aims that it wants to combat Mumsnet. How can you take any research seriously if the aim is to combat comments on a web forum?

Blanchard's research is perfectly plausible, the question is why are people so desperate to dismiss it?

While I never really believed the cliche about women being good for only one thing, I found that that sentiment kept creeping into my fantasies. I would imagine myself being sold into sex slavery and having strange men take advantage of me.

Blanchard was clear that there are two types: heterosexual MtF and homosexual MtF. The T in LGBT has been overtaken with the heterosexual MtFs.

Just like the anti-women trans activist protesters at Let Women Speak prove why we need events like Let Women Speak.

It is as ever, the lack of balance, which is pissing people off. And the rank sexism that supports it.

Men saying that they want to be sexually humiliated because that's what women are for, that women who disagree with men in their spaces should be decapitated, punched, raped and have their children taken away and more suck my girl dicks then you can shake a fucking shake at.

But one random guy calling it a mental illness gets arrested??

We've seen it, over, and over. Women attacked, punched, deprived of rights, threatened and fired, but woe betide them if they put a suffragette ribbon in a tree or say the word castration.
