JK Rowling "gloats" ? JK Rowling thoroughly vindicated more like.

That's what happenes when a sacred caste is created. They're able to openly undermine basic safeguarding for children and nobody dares say a word.

What I cannot understand, for the life of me, is why some women, intelligent women, mothers and grandmothers FFS, celebrate this sacred caste without a thought that it might have potential to be harmful.

What @Theeyeballsinthesky said, plus some people will resist like hell the awful prospect of thinking for themselves - it's hard work, it's risky and it might involve ditching some cherished beliefs.

People will believe some very strange things which run entirely counter to the evidence of their own eyes.

Me neither. What is Surrey Police's explantion for this? This needs investigating pronto.

https://thecritic.co.uk/the-lgbtq-movement-has-a-paedophile-problem/

That article as well worth a read. It's rather shocking. Although nothing that the women here haven't been talking about for ages.

It's quite plain to anyone that adult men who want to give children drugs to stunt their growth, is because of a sexual interest. But this disgusting pervert goes even further.

He was a passionate defender of so-called “gender affirming healthcare for children”, which effectively sterilises them. Lo and behold, in hundreds of messages he and his partner David Sutton fantasised about pumping boys full of estrogen — and then castrating them.

It would appear that a castration fetish is really rather prevalent amongst these TRA paedophiles.

We know from past experience that predators gravitate to organisations that don’t take safeguarding seriously. You can measure that seriousness by the reaction to a breach of child protection. In the wake of an abuse case, organisations that really care about child safety register their shock by devoting heightened attention to what went wrong. They treat it as their number one priority to ask questions, overhaul systems and raise awareness to find out whether it was an isolated case.

Malcolm Clark then goes on to list everybody who either deliberately ignored it, or actually still awarded Surrey Pride kudos for all sorts of things.

That's more than giving the benefit of the doubt, or be kind. That's complicity.

And he's right.

We're in an environment where accusing somebody of being a paedophile is just about the most heinous thing you can do, so people are reluctant.

So, loudly and relentlessly, pointing out that safeguarding is on the floor, at the very moment, when an organisation should have been re-doubling their efforts, is probably more palatable.

I can't believe there isn't more to uncover here, either. So many people were falling over themselves to support him.

Because beeeeekind
because they brought into the most oppressed ever narrative
because stonewall said so
because ppl they disagree with politically are pointing out the problems
because theyve not thought about it to any great extent
because lots of ppl are terrible at system thinking and joining the dots
because some of them have children & grand children caught up in it

Spot on, I'm sure. The fourth on your list is undoubtedly one reason why the GRA passed with so little scrutiny or attention - the main person trying to point out the obvious problems in the House of Commons was Norman Tebbit, and it was 2004, the Blair years. A former minister of the Thatcher government, the 'get on your bike' man! Why would anybody listen to a word he said? And so here we are.

Gloats? Have not read the article and don't plan to, but that's a very inappropriate choice of words. She is pointing out that this predatory paedophile, embarking on a 30-year sentence, had the absolute gall to go after her for pointing out the need for safeguarding. That's not gloating.

That article is rage inducing!!!! Even now the denial that anyone at any of the councils in Surrey did anything wrong is cast iron

I see that Pride in Surrey is not a charity so I’m not sure who exactly they’d be reported too 🤔 the police?? Yeah that would have been a huge waste of time

Isn't it infuriating. All the red flags - Ireland as the "safeguarding lead", a helpline for children run by Ireland, banning whistleblowers and presumably the Council and police seeing Pride as the "sacred caste" and not able to be criticised. The sexual grooming and abuse of children writ large and enabled by the council and the police

Well done the Telegraph for following this up. Hopefully the rest of the media will pick this up

Nothing on the main news that I saw or heard @StPancreasPiano i mean it’s not as if this is an important story is it? Not when the bbc needs to tell us about the royal train being cut

That Vivienne person’s death has been prominent on the BBC website for days. (I have no idea who they are.)

I’m glad he got a long sentence.

He is not the first…

“Concerns around safeguarding surfaced recently after it was revealed that someone who had served 15 months in prison for possessing images of child sex abuse was appointed Chair of Pride in Wiltshire. Swindon and Wiltshire Pride, a registered charity, has been criticised by the Charity Commission, and asked to re-evaluate their safeguarding and recruitment policies.”

The Charities Commission who could just you know, close a charity in one hot second tell them to 're-evaluate their safeguarding and recruitment policies'...honestly, what will it take to get these charities shut down?

The trouble is pride in Surrey it’s not a charity, it’s a CIC and regulation for those is very light touch

and tbh the charity commission isn’t fit for purpose. Slashed to the bone abd endless political appointments to the chairship

Pride in Wiltshire is though, otherwise they wouldn't have been able to say 're-evaluate your policies'.

I know it is not fit for purpose, we investigated how to get a charity to be investigated for volunteer abuse and unless we could prove financial fraud they were not interested. They are not in any way interested in a charity that abuses people, only if they can be proven to be pocketing money.

thats really rubbish. It’s no wonder the public have lost faith in a lot of charities and I say that as someone who works in one

‘Gloats’ - hardly, pointing out beautifully that the people who erode boundaries publicly (and don’t like to be challenged ) also do so privately, to people too vulnerable to challenge them :(

I first ran into the child rapist Stephen Ireland
StephenAIreland of PrideInSurrey on here around 5 years ago. He was spouting nonsense about Stonewall and I challenged him. He did the usual TRA spin of attacking me based on falsehoods from PinkNews
. Naturally, my responses were fact based while his baseless responses came from the PN smears. Of course, he got ratioed and quickly blocked me when I pointed out that it was he who was using a racist term in his response whilst falsely accusing me to be a racist and of having voted for Trump. I could tell right off there was something wrong about the guy from years of experience arresting skels. Now that's been confirmed by his 30 year sentence for taking sexual advantage of a 12 year and for having kiddie porn on his phone.

Interestingly, Pride In Surrey now calls their founder and CEO "a former volunteer." All their phones and hard drives should be searched.

Women's Rights Network - WRN

HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT - OR JUST HIDING BEHIND 'INCLUSIVITY'?

There is no sacred caste of men beyond reproach. Ever.
That this even still needs to be said after countless cases is staggering.

As so ably demonstrated in this superb article by JournalistJill
, many women raised their concerns about Stephen Ireland and should have been listened to. Instead, he and his partner hid behind a cloak of legitimacy, high profile contacts and assumed ‘respectability’. Those who should have asked themselves serious questions, failed to do so. Children were terribly harmed as a result.

There should be no more such cases, and yet, we cannot say with any confidence that these terrible lessons will be learned. It appears that a rainbow often confers invisibility.

Thank you to all who spoke out.

Kate Harris speaks out after the jailing of Surrey Pride founder Stephen Ireland for the rape of a 12-year-old boy.

Notfinanciallyresponsibleforyou · 07/07/2025 13:38

Kate was really good.

stephen Ireland is an evil predator who probably learnt lots of tactics from Jimmy Saville. Attacking LGBA and women - let’s shut down any groups that have pesky women. Encourage women to be kind (so we can get on with the job of child abuse).

TRAs just don’t understand how concerned real women are especially when it comes to safeguarding.

messybundles · 07/07/2025 16:13

I think it's fair to say after this terrible case and the many others fantastic women such as the team at Reduxx have brought to our attention that many homosexual men have been hiding in plain sight and need to be kept an eye on.
