Wasn't there another one of the Pride organisers also in court?
Worth remembering that some schools openly welcomed Ireland under the guise of his Pride leadership. Grim.

His ex also a co-founder remained involved in Pride although there is nothing to suggest he also has ever had sexual imvolvement with children.

His current is the one convicted with him.

I mean, talk about a Jimmy Savile mo.

StPancreasPiano · 01/07/2025 07:45

I had to dig deep to find this on the BBC news website this morning. Does anyone know if it was mentioned on television or radio news? Or was talking about a drug taking 'entertainer', again, more important than child safety?

On the timing the local police were reported to have gone into local schools with him after he was charged.

He was still allowed to go into schools after being charged? JFC.

Theeyeballsinthesky · 01/07/2025 07:51

Nothing on the main news that I saw or heard @StPancreasPiano i mean it’s not as if this is an important story is it? Not when the bbc needs to tell us about the royal train being cut

Memoryhole · 01/07/2025 08:09

You have to really wonder why a man who’s fantasy involved forcibly castrating small boys was such an active proponent of ’gender affirmative care’.

Or then again, maybe not.

The quiet thing out loud from a member of the Sacred Caste.

StPancreasPiano · 01/07/2025 08:14

I know @Theeyeballsinthesky . Nothing to see here, again 🙄

More details about this vile man on Reduxx:

UK: Prominent Pride Activist Sentenced to 30 Years for Multiple Child Sex Offenses, Rape of 12 Year Old Boy

In August of 2024, Reduxx learned that Ireland had further used his influence in the LGBT community to groom and encourage a teen girl to embrace being a transgender “leather pup.”

The earliest messages between Ireland and “Julie” date back to 2018, when she was just 16. One year later, at the August 2019 Pride event, Julie can be seen dressed in “leather pup” fetish gear, a community most associated with gay males that involve sexually submissive partners roleplaying as dogs. In a photo, Ireland can be seen holding a lead fastened around the teenage girl’s neck.

Julie eventually took testosterone, and underwent a double mastectomy and hysterectomy. Ireland spent her 18th birthday with her, while she was wearing the pup fetish gear.

Ireland had previously defended minors being involved in the BDSM community, claiming children “inherently understand everything.”

Why is the sentence for raping an underage boy so much longer than the recent sentences for raping underage girls?

Sorry but someone was going to point this out...might as well be me!

Different judge to start.

Also they filmed what they were doing and distributed it. I don't know if that is the reason but it might be.

AnSolas · 01/07/2025 08:31

@WarriorN
School entry would be a problem with timing and trusting the system for anyone involved in school visits.

His org would do DBS checks but if he is management he can circumvent that process. That leaves the staff with a problem about whistleblowing to a third party school.

Even if the school did not rely on the organisations assurance and asked to see a Cert its an old one from before arrest.

If his arrest is after any DBS checks the organisation are relying on him being honest (not a chance) about it or finding out from another source (I am assuming the DBS is not setup to push out real time alerts when an arrest for that of serious crime happens?).

I am assuming that any officers involved with school visits are not allowed to do pre-visit checks on the police system (without a policy/process anyway)? I am guessing the sex crimes unit staff are careful about not being seen to leak information which could lead to a mistrial. Plus during the investigation because its distribution of CSA images "co-worker" police officers become possible suspects as they fall within the possible child CSA ring just by being in regular contact with the arrested distributor. And regular gossip headsup options are not effective. Sadly we have seen that senior officers are political and willing to turn a blind eye if it helps them be seen as TRSOH champions so in the end its down to who writes the child protection policy for police visits.

That's what happenes when a sacred caste is created. They're able to openly undermine basic safeguarding for children and nobody dares say a word.
As the BBC (and other media) have clearly evidenced with their failure to cover this awful case.

BBC chose to tuck the Stephen Ireland article safely in the

UK > England > Local News > Surrey section.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cx2kkrxdpndo

Of course they did.
I haven't bought a copy of the Grauniad in years, and we've given up on the licence fee. Every time something like happens, the chance of me ever doing either of those things again diminishes further.

I've seen the video clip on a couple of timelines, but wondered where it came from originally. When was it recorded? What was the context? Where was it distributed?

Furthermore, has Jordan Gray put out a statement distancing himself from Ireland?

What I cannot understand, for the life of me, is why some women, intelligent women, mothers and grandmothers FFS, celebrate this sacred caste without a thought that it might have potential to be harmful.

Because beeeeekind
because they brought into the most oppressed ever narrative
because stonewall said so
because ppl they disagree with politically are pointing out the problems
because theyve not thought about it to any great extent
because lots of ppl are terrible at system thinking and joining the dots
because some of them have children & grand children caught up in it

Serious questions now for Surrey Police as to how the former leadership allowed this bloke to exercise such control and power over their operations particularly in respect of his campaign of harassment against the police and crime commissioner Lisa Townsend.

Stephen A Ireland (He/Him)

The amazing officers and staff at @SurreyPolice @SurreyBeatLGBT do not share the same anti-trans, exclusionary views of the Surrey PPC LisaTownsend. Hate crime of any kind is unacceptable and it should be reported, alternatively please report any hate crime via stophateuk

StPancreasPiano · 01/07/2025 09:10

All of the above @Theeyeballsinthesky makes sense but "because ppl they disagree with politically are pointing out the problems" hadn't occurred to me before and would make sense too.

thirdfiddle · 01/07/2025 09:25

God this is a gross business. PIE all over again. Thank goodness they were caught and convicted, but can see anyone would regard his former partners and enterprises as suspect at this point. Particularly ones that permit public fetish displays and encourage kids attending.

FeistyCat · 01/07/2025 09:54

Anyone that advocates children are chemically sterilised and castrated and never go through puberty is immediately suspect.

In just one example of many, the police have so little time that they fined a woman, Shana Grice, who asked for their help and was subsequently murdered by her stalker, for wasting police time yet they have time to escort Stephen Ireland to schools to enable his grooming.

This is the world we live in.

TwelvePercent · 01/07/2025 11:46

In a photo, Ireland can be seen holding a lead fastened around the teenage girl’s neck.

I've been thinking a lot recently about Adam Smith and he was right.
Shame has a useful place in society. Shame was a social tool to prevent abhorrent, harmful behaviour, and was a form of safeguarding.

Now we are told we mustn't kink shame and it results in (amongst other weirdness) adults dressed in leather dog costumes being touched by toddlers and a paedo out in public with a teenager on a lead and its accepted.

Overton's window is now a bifold. What a time to be alive.

StPancreasPiano · 01/07/2025 12:48

I was surprised but not surprised to see a counsellor advertising among other things that she is 'kink aware' recently. It would be very interesting to know if any of her clients are seeking help with their perversions. Or if that advert attracted them for the other reason. I hope the counsellor is fully aware and has taken steps to protect herself.

You raise a very fair point @TwelvePercent . Why is it the victims who, probably always, feel shame for what was done to them. It is not their/our shame to carry.
