Stephen Ireland, who co-founded Pride in Surrey, has been sentenced for 30 years for raping a 12-year old boy:

That is heartbreaking and enraging. I hope whoever got Shana fined for wasting police time, with her trivial little fear for her life, was banned from working in that role again. But that is nowhere near enough. The whole culture needs changing.

Listening to the podcast made my blood boil. The most shocking thing was that the police and the county council haven't had the decency to apologise to Lisa Townsend and others for the way they were treated when they raised concerns. They also seem to have learnt absolutely nothing - there's been no statement of what they intend to do in future to avoid the same thing happening again.

Same. I'm having to take long breaks between episodes, not because they're not excellent but because I spend the time in a state of absolute fury while listening.

Just to relink, all the episodes are available here. It is definitely worth listening to but it is absolutely infuriating at the same time.

Their silence makes me think they are frantically covering up collusion from staff - otherwise you'd be open and transparent with your apologies if you have nothing to hide about child abuse and paedophilia.
