Mumsnet Obsession With Penises

My controversial opinion is that most of the Mums who obsess here over penises, uteruses and chromosomes, would pick more important and interesting topics if their own child was trans.

Ah OP.

Loads of these women have been here for years feeling very very alone.

Women have been through hell standing up for children's and women's rights.

With the greatest respect, you can't just plonk on here, push insults and say astonishingly ilinformed stuff and expect no push back.

People can't change sex. It's not bigotry to say it, just scientific fact. No one cares if people dress however they want, it's just that biology matters.

I think that OP is beginning to realise that most posters have already considered the points probably more than they have. And that making up fucked up statistics and fallacious points is just making their position look worse and worse.

At least they posted a truth just before. That transwomen are men.

That is great progress.

But also, amazing to see so many new posters posting clear rebuttals to the fuckwittery on this thread. Awesome stuff.

If you can't give a definition of transwomen, then please explain about the curry, at least.

Noooooooo.....

EdithStourton · 29/06/2025 23:05

I'm beginning to think some Gender Studies lecturer sent all the unnergrads home for the hols with instructions to either goad or re-educate the vile terfs of FWR, depending on their mood at the time, and write an essay about their learnings.

There's been so much of this shit lately that I'm looking for explanations.

Alucard55 · 29/06/2025 23:05

ArabellaScott · 29/06/2025 23:02

Alternatively, what are transwomen? Can you explain?

I know this one. It's a feeling in a man's head where he does himself up like no woman I've ever seen and tries get into women's spaces.

Do you really need that? Because I can but tend to think you're just looking for something to trash.

You could say... phallacious points.

The quality of Ploppers is getting worse.

I think this one has the worst 'arguments' I've seen yet.

They just aren't even trying anymore.

Honestly, no messing around on this from me, yes I think we would love to know what your definition is. Posters come on here, declare transwomen are women, and never explain how they are actually women and why they are no longer men in any way shape of form.

Sorry deleted second para, then they complain about recipes so at least explain the curry

Keeptoiletssafe · 29/06/2025 23:13

Ignore selling mistakes in my previous posts. I am mixing up too with to.
I am too hot to think straight.
Too many curry posts are making it worse.

Honestly, I think that's a plausible theory.

'Integrate yourself on an online debating forum and investigate what arguments are being espoused by those who self describe as 'gender critical' (aka Terfs). Produce a report on your findings (1,000 words), with a particular focus of the impact of the recent Supreme Court judgement.'

Or if they're a bit more honest - 'own the terfs on Mumsnet!!! Bonus points if you get in 'biological essentialism', 'have you ever met a trans person' and/or 'beeee kiiiiind! Report back on how you gave those bitches what for!'

State of academia today....

Manfreglory · 29/06/2025 22:51

Yes because...say it proud ladies!.... trans women are men!!!!

Good fucking grief.

Yes that's correct.

We've gone through a strange period in time where we were supposed to believe that biological sex was immaterial but thankfully common sense and reality is returning. I can sympathise with trans individuals who were misled and given false hope but come on now, the days of being compelled to accept the lies of men becoming women and vice versa are gone.

Please OP I am begging, on my knees.

How do you know you're not trans?

I need to know because how am I supposed to know if I am trans or not?

I do have dysphoria from lugging around massive H cups, the pink tax on boulder holders, the stares, the back pain, my shoulders dislocating from carrying the weight around of these ridiculous female burdens, and the trauma of simply having vagina in a world where 1 in 9 women are sexually assaulted, but if you're an autistic woman like me then those stats change to 1 in 3. I do so hate being female. So please can you enlighten me, how do I know that I am not just a man in a woman's body?

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 29/06/2025 23:16

Actually, how did Freddie Mercury know that the silhouette-o he saw was of a man? Transphobic of him to assume.

Waitwhat23 · 29/06/2025 23:24

Gerbils...
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh.
You may feel you are a mouse,
But biology says you're really not that at all,
Carry on, carry on,
Your rodent genus matters.

Boiledbeetle · 29/06/2025 23:26

Or maybe this was the right thread after all!

I genuinely could do with a curry recipe. I'm not a curry fan but my young daughter is, so a mild chicken curry recipe would be awesome.

For a mild I will throw a curve ball and say I’d try a Japanese curry, grab the curry roux boxes online or at an asian store.

There are several threads on here from posters who have a family member who is trans or has trans supportive views. The outcome is a thread here saying they have became estranged with them and other family members. A lot of posters post about being kicked out of online or offline friend groups for being overly obsessive and negative about trans people.

You don't win friends with salad gender critical views.

WithSilverBells · 29/06/2025 23:42

If youre being serious, I'll preface this with the disclaimer that this is in no way authentic but my wee one likes it -

Saute until soft one large chopped onion and two diced garlic cloves. Add teaspoon each of ginger powder, turmeric and cumin and a teaspoon and a half of medium curry powder and gently heat to realise the aroma/oils. Add a handful (ish) of dessicated coconut and boiling water and a veg stock cube (don't ask me how much water - l do it by eye). Simmer until soupy and then add browned chicken breast chunks and cook for about another 10 minutes.
