a few years back, George was asking people on Twitter to leave their pronouns at the door, sounding very GC and sensible, from the standpoint of a nonconformist male in the 80’s who liked to wear makeup and dresses whilst happy to be a man and aware he’s not a woman.

Nowadays he’s going on breakfast tv mocking JK Rowling, who only replied to his bloody tweet in self defence. George started the conversation with her.

She didn’t say anything in response that wasn’t factual or on point.

And Lorraine bloody Kelly in mock bewilderment, asking “why does it always end up about toilets”

Lorraine Kelly gives me the utter rage. She’s the worst kind of simpering handmaiden and completely fake with her
“It’s so nice to have you here. It reaaally is” to everyone she interviews.

Yet another betrayer of women. Wouldn’t be surprised if she has Nicola Sturgeon on speed dial.

She had Kathleen Stock on a couple of years ago, after she had been forced out of her job and threatened with violence. Told her she hadn’t really been cancelled because she was on the LK show, then the minute the show was over tweeted - “For the avoidance of doubt, I believe trans women are women.”
Had the Graaf husband and wife on after the Supreme Court ruling - I think the only reference she has made to it, agreed with them that it was just awful. (They are Mermaids patrons BTW).
I also don’t believe the “oh it’s a wee shame how we can’t all be nice to each other” act, she didn’t make it in a tough business like that by being nice.

Sorry, I was messing with you all. A roundabout is a full circle so 360 degrees. Half way round is 180 degrees and if you go half way round then you leave opposite to where you joined. All the way round is 360 degrees and if you go all the way round then you leave where you joined.

The reason that this seems to make sense is because it ignores the 90 degree left turn that you make on joining the roundabout and the 90 degree left turn that you make on leaving the roundabout.

I watched the KS interview recently and thought KS as always was brilliant but LK doing the "oh I don't agree but can't we all just talk about it" stuff was ridiculous. That's exactly what KS was trying to do and in a kind and moderate manner. I wish someone would push her on this and ask specifically what she doesn't agree with.

Also, saw the Graff interview where she "doesn't agree with the ruling".

I'm perplexed how seemingly intelligent people cannot comprehend the arguments that women are making. Perhaps they don't want to hear.

"aww you look great" used to be one her stock phrases too, said to every single guest back when I watched Lorraine in my student days.

The faux upbeat utter insincerity of the woman has always made my teeth itch, possibly more than anyone else on telly and the fact that she's more than happy to fling her fellow women under the bus does not surprise me at all.

At the point that Boy George suggests that surgery is an appropriate treatment for gender non conforming children, you have to stop expecting any of it to make sense.

Also, it seems to me as though ITV are now identifying as the BBC these days. The somber faces when the SC ruling was made and sad face sympathy shown when they were interviewing man after man complaining about the terrible rules that was stopping them from invading female spaces.

Drugging, mutilation, sterility, brittle bones and lifelong ill-health as the punishment for childhood naughtiness.

Honestly, I have reached the point where I have to turn the TV off the moment I hear LK's voice.

Despite this dreadful take from George (and notwithstanding his previous crimes) he does have more experience of gender non conformity than most people. I'd like to hear him think this stuff through at length, maybe opposite his old pal Marilyn who is a big JKR fan. Sadly neither of them seem to be the most stable of personalities.
