I knew you'd all be keen to hear them.

"It is the responsibility of a feminist to be progressive, to learn from previous waves but to always be pushing towards a new one. “Feminism must be intersectional. Feminism must not be used to bully and berate both cis women and trans people.”

I thought he'd flounce off X because it was evil. I don't want to give Nash the clicks so can I assume the Foxkiller is quoting from the song?

Coatsoff42 · 28/05/2025 16:55

Yes. They were. I read that too late. Sad reading. Awful how many lives are ruined in these stats. And these are just the convictions.

ArabellaScott · 28/05/2025 17:09

moto748e · 28/05/2025 16:48

The remainder were boys under 18, weren't they?

Mostly. I assume the remainder were 'female'.

Here's an ONS FOI on 'gender identity' and rape etc:

https://www.ons.gov.uk/aboutus/transparencyandgovernance/freedomofinformationfoi/statisticsonvictimsandperpetratorsofrapeintheuk

They collect info on 'gender identity' of victims, but not perps.

'The Sexual offences prevalence and victim characteristics, England and Wales tables present data on prevalence of sexual assaults, including rape, from year ending March 2005 to year ending March 2020 by sex of victim (see Table 3b). Table 5: Percentage of adults aged 16 to 74 who were victims of sexual assault in the last year, by personal characteristics and sex, year ending March 2018 to year ending March 2020 CSEW combined - includes detailed information on rape victim characteristics including ethnicity, country of birth, marital status, employment status, occupation, highest qualification, disability, religion and sexual orientation. Although gender identity questions were added to the Crime Survey for England and Wales (CSEW) on 1 October 2019, the sample size of those who identified as transgender was insufficient to present data on prevalence of sexual assault in Table 5.

Similar data is not held about perpetrators of rape.'

Is there a word for the louder someone shouts the more irrelevant they become?

Twat?

LadyBracknellsHandbagg · 28/05/2025 17:23

He’s getting his arse handed to him but he’s unable to stop himself, it’s like he’s in the grip of some sort of mania. I feel for his children, what sort of life must they lead with him as their father?

DeanElderberry · 28/05/2025 17:37

We laugh, understandably because he is ridiculous, but he is also a menacing figure. A man who took great pride in a violent act of animal cruelty that ended in the creature's death, who insisted on telling everyone he was wearing a woman's kimono while he battered the poor beast, and who is now assuring the world that 'cis men' (in other words, people like him) are the greatest danger to women.

Not a pleasant person.

WallaceinAnderland · 28/05/2025 17:45

Women in boxing don't consent to being punched by men.

That's a lawsuit waiting to happen.

illinivich · 28/05/2025 17:56

I think jolyon is at the bargaining stage of grief.

91% of people prosecuted for sexual offenses are cis men aged 18+. The biggest threat to cis women sadly comes from cis men. These stats from Rape Crisis'

I know its isnt, but that always reads like 9% of sexual offenses are committed by TW.

ErrolTheDragon · 28/05/2025 18:01

No, @ArabellaScott, oddly enough I don’t give a flying fuck what this bloke opines about what feminism should or shouldn’t do.

2 of his kids are trans ..

usedtobeaylis · 28/05/2025 18:17

This is a man who openly stated pre fox killing on this issue that 'women have a point'. Then reversed. He has got absolutely no credibility on anything to do with women.

I know, it’s absolutely tragic for them, how on earth is the third child going to avoid being transed too?

usedtobeaylis · 28/05/2025 18:18

Also, Jolyon Maugham gives me the creeps. The absolute creeps.

Both girls I believe as well which is illuminating

GallantKumquat · 28/05/2025 18:35

I've never seen stats disaggregated for 'cis' and 'trans' males. Anyone else?

Let's not forget the case of Andrew Miller (Amy George) who voluntarily disavowed transdom so as to not malign trans women, even though he had identified as such up until the crime, and used his disguise as a woman to perform the crime. Any statistics regarding TIMs' propensity to commit crime would need to be very strongly investigated before they could be used as proof positive that TIMs are significantly less likely to commit violent crime against women than the rest of their male cohort.

I'm sure Mr Maugham is a strong advocate for amendments to the Data (Use and Access) Bill to begin the process of ensuring that reliable sex data is captured so that a statistical basis for is claim can be supported.

Although given his subsequent output it isn't entirely inconceivable that he missed the fox completely.

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 28/05/2025 18:49

He’s the Michael Gove of lawyerly grifting. Creepily unsettling while also somehow pathetic

Blessed be the fruit Commander Joly. What a fine day in Gilead.

I have found it infuriating and instructive to watch the response from these kinds of people to the judgment, very informative about their priorities and sympathies. Rarely if ever do they have any practical or actual comment on the judgment, it's all be kind and what about the poor vulnerable TW.

And then you point out to them how their kindness and earnest attention and desire to help (please) are all and only about men. And watch them blow a fuse.

I knew this reminded me of something...

Feminism should be run with precision
But British law requires something less!
Tradition, stereotypes, and roles must be the tools
Without them - disorder!
Catastrophe! Equality!
Those menstruators would make a ghastly mess!

The Gospel according to St Jolly. Or is it The Commandments? Remind me who agreed that men get to define women (and now feminism apparently). Anything else you fancy grabbing from us boys?

Breasts. Obviously.

maltravers · 28/05/2025 19:47

Here you go St Jolly, try this alternative text:

“Men defining what a woman is, what women should and shouldn’t fear, what women should and shouldn’t say, what rights women should be fine with giving up and, of course, what constitutes ‘real’ misogyny: get a bloody mirror. That’s real misogyny, looking right back at you” - JK Rowling

Tootingbec · 28/05/2025 19:51

Oh he can fuck off.

Slight tangent but I admit I follow a load of insufferable male “feminist allies” on LinkedIn just for the shits and giggles. All of whom lost their shit over the SC judgement and the Olympic boxing shit show. The one who encourages men to paint their nails is particularly fucking irritating.

Brilliant, as ever.
