I have been too scared to be vocal on this issue as my industry is very captured, but I feel more and more radicalised/peaked by the reaction of men like this to the ruling. A senior member of my church as been very vocal about the outrage of the judgment, how it's 'obviously not acceptable' for a male police officer to search a TIM suspect/criminal. FB posts, letters to press and MPs, even snide remarks during sermons.

They have so much sympathy and anger for a small group of men with dysphoria/a fetish. And none at all for women whose rights are trampled. Rarely do they mention TIF or engage in a discussion about the reasons why so many young women wish to remove themselves from the strictures of socially constructed femininity.

I know that isn't quite the point here and Maugham has always been a tool but honestly, elstuff like this exposes how little women and women's thoughts actually matter to these progressive men..I guess it should have been obvious but it's still infuriating to realise.

Intersectional feminism was supposed to be about understanding the different needs, influences, diversity etc of women as a sex class.

It's been grabbed, emptied out of all meaning (and women) and repurposed to try and force womening to be all about a group of men with significant issues around women, some of them sexual. Like the word 'lesbian'. It is not in any way good for women. The women busy enabling it are man-pleasing, and misogyny focused.

It's all a part of this culture that actions and words have nothing to do with each other. Like the men yesterday with their tops off, demanding that they be viewed as fragile and vulnerable, or the activist posters here who try to insist that actions and observable facts must be ignored because the instructions have been downloaded to you on what you're supposed to say and say you see. If you SAY you're feminist then you are - even when rampantly doing everything you can in plain sight to destroy feminism. You're not supposed to resist the programming. You've been told.

And there you see the capacity to understand other people as humans as opposed to props and resources.

I have found it infuriating and instructive to watch the response from these kinds of people to the judgment, very informative about their priorities and sympathies. Rarely if ever do they have any practical or actual comment on the judgment, it's all be kind and what about the poor vulnerable TW.

There is no mention of 'cis' or 'trans' anywhere in these stats. They state 'sex' and age, and that's it.
