I knew you'd all be keen to hear them.

"It is the responsibility of a feminist to be progressive, to learn from previous waves but to always be pushing towards a new one. “Feminism must be intersectional. Feminism must not be used to bully and berate both cis women and trans people.”

I doubt very much if the landlord was politically motivated.

He or she just didn't want a bunch of shouting, ranting men on the doorstep. Especially since the protest du jour seems to involve men pissing on everything, vandalising property and stripping off their clothes.

And I hope JK comes back with a comment that requires JM to explain why he thinks the landlord's got anything to do with her.

i'd like to watch how he tries to explain a plausible link

It’s bizarre. He may disapprove of the EHRC but they’re an official ‘Non-departmental public body’. And what their landlord does isn’t their responsibility either!

(note: is anyone a wiki editor? The page for the EHRC looks like it’s been biased by TRAs.Hmm)

Anyone can be a wiki editor. You can have fun seeing what you can sneak past if you have the gift of the gab. Liz Truss' entry was amusing for a while.

If that's true, it would mean that TW are hugely overrepresented in sexual assaults because they don't comprise 10% of the male population.

Is she actually stupid? I thought she was just annoying, talentless and derivative.

I don't know; I've no idea who she is!

Lumping in the landlord of a building who didn't want men pissing on his doorstep with J. K. Rowling, by using the collective term you lot, indicates something of a persecution complex to me.

Not to mention that if people start to point out what 'his lot' do, it's a bit of a slam dunk.

I wasn't sure whether to post this here or start a new thread. I haven't been able to bring myself to read it yet

It’s pretty funny.

Datun · 04/06/2025 12:20

"It seems" at the EHRC's request.

where is he getting it from I wonder

JamieCannister · 04/06/2025 13:30

It could be that if the EHRC requested that the landlord sought to remove the protestors they might have done it in order not to fall out with other occupiers of the building, or at the request of other occupiers, as opposed to because they oppose the continued use of Operation Let Them Speak.

ThatCyanCat · 04/06/2025 13:46

Do I understand this correctly? He's gone to court to get the right to stand and protest outside a building and he thinks this is a massive kick in the teeth for GC people?

Checked this out, it's not my cup of tea but good lyrics. Interesting when taken alongside the current 'protect the dolls' stuff.

Yes that is interesting. Perhaps that was the inspiration or perhaps she has no idea about that. I didn’t until 2 weeks ago or so.

To get his entitled kid and their genderwoo mates etc etc etc

Otherwise yeah.

Eat your heart out, Che Guevara.

ThatCyanCat · 04/06/2025 14:10

I guess that brings his case failure rate down to 90%. He's got to take what he can get. (And oh, how he does.)

How many of us knew this protest was going on? I thought I was paying attention, but I missed it.

I think we might have been distracted by the topless blokes.

Presumably it must have been going on some time to actually prompt the landlord to take action.

ArabellaScott · 04/06/2025 14:25

I think it's been ongoing for ages. It looks like a squatters camp from all the litter and detritus piled up, and the placards sellotaped to the wall.

Wait, unless that was the other protest, with the wee coffins? It's unclear, to say the least. I'd say 'incoherent', in fact.

ArabellaScott · 04/06/2025 14:44

I've said before, these protests are fine as long as someone is looking out for the children involved. They are out overnight, in London, many are vulnerable, and there are some extremely unbalanced men involved in the periphery.

But aren't those people protesting against free speech, against the right for women to define themselves as a separate class to men? Aren't they in favour of forcing policed speech around pronouns etc?

Yes they are free to protest. But protesting against free speech seems somewhat hypocritical.

I think it was a half-term jolly for Grin & her posh mates, they had to get back to their A-level revision hence the injunction hearing happening after they'd all gone home.
Anyway in his rush to crow on SM he seems to have drawn a lot of attention to the link between himself & TKDB, I've just seen a photo of his daughter sitting on a trans coloured loo at the protest.
He managed to keep quiet about the link during her stupidly dangerous climbing stunts last summer but his JKR induced meltdown has made him reckless.

teawamutu · 04/06/2025 15:38

Was the kid who climbed on DfE to grab the banner his daughter?

DrudgeJedd · 04/06/2025 15:43

Yes, she also climbed up the front of Wes Streeting's office to do the same.

nauticant · 04/06/2025 15:47

Well, the genderists have had a number of epic losses over the past year or so so let them have their day in the sun:

Jesus. Impressive skills, I remember the video.
Bloody idiot though.

ArabellaScott · 04/06/2025 16:46

Troubled young people often commit reckless acts. Often as a way of tacitly asking for help. 'Somebody please stop me'.

I'm minded of younger children who are not given proper boundaries, pushing and pushing and acting out to desperately try to find what they can do to trigger an adult who will say 'no' and step in and save them from themselves. And escalating if they don't find those boundaries.

Absolutely nothing wrong with peaceful protest, of course. It certainly is preferable to them releasing live animals at events, etc. I'm sure these are basically nice, if confused, kids. I hope there are also sensible people looking out for them.

SionnachRuadh · 04/06/2025 18:27

I suppose someone has to be the adult in the room, but as far as these protests go, the adult in the room seems to be Frank Drebin KC.
