Perhaps a read of the Utah report - the most recent, comprehensive review of gender affirming care that was just released - would shed some light on the complete lack of justification for obviously politically motivated and incredibly harmful bans.

No one is saying you don’t exist, as a person. No one is saying you can’t exist, as a person. Your right to exist has never been questioned. What we have done is disagreed with your assertion that you are a woman, that you have the ‘soul’ of a woman, that you think and feel like a woman. Because you don’t. You are a person, a male person that has (possibly) had cosmetic surgery to make you look more like a woman. No one is denying that.

You have not grown to adulthood being treated differently because you’re female, you haven’t had your life choices dictated (or at least influenced) by the fact that you’re female, and you have almost certainly never been abused, molested or intimidated by a male the way 99.9% of women have.

If you like wearing dresses, make up, heels and having long hair, good for you. That doesn’t make you a woman. Please stop claiming victim hood, and lack of rights. I can’t say these things publicly for fear of losing my job and being doxed.

I think they mean of the people who ID as trans, it's 60/40 female/male.

My centenarian aunt regularly says 'how dare you' whenever she sees a racist or transphobic newspaper headline retreading 30's and 40's rhetoric.
