Just watched KJK talking about all things trans on a Tanya De Grunwald podcast ( great podcast) - she says she is banned from mumsnet? I just wondered why she was banned.

Her opinions stopped meaning anything to me the second she got herself involved with the extreme right.

I'm glad she's not on here.

How did she get involved with the extreme right?

Citation needed for “involved with the far right”.

Gosh. I wonder who benefits from a thread about someone who isn’t on here?

My toes curled inside out. Quelle suprise they’ve not been back.

The toes?

Helleofabore · 18/05/2025 16:10

How did she get involved with the extreme right?

Speaking at events with Katie Hopkins. Having Tommy Robinson's filming crew recording her vids.

That kind of stuff.

Anyone who is happy to rub elbows with those kinds of people is a twunt, IMO.

And we're all allowed to have one, right?

My ears are open to JKR but not KJK. Bit of a lie with dogs, get fleas situation for me.

Shortshriftandlethal · 18/05/2025 16:19

ChocolateGanache · 18/05/2025 11:57

She’s quite far right Christian aligned as well as being GC. Not the best advert for the cause of feminism!

She puts women front and centre, and if that isn't feminism I'm not sure what is.

Shortshriftandlethal · 18/05/2025 16:23

ChocolateGanache · 18/05/2025 12:09

If the GC debate has taught me anything over the years, it’s that this issue crosses all political divides.

KJK is articulate and admirably calm when debating with TRAs. But, whether you like it or not, she has faced criticism relating to allegations of racism, white supremacy, and ties to far-right anti-LGBT groups.

The Christian Far Right are NOT people I want to be associated with. Thinking MN probably don’t either. Hence my explanation to the OP - just “telling it like it is” 🤷🏻‍♀️

'Accusations' are standard fare when it comes to trans activists and anyone who identifies themselves as being on the Left.... if you don't tread the party authorised line. We've all experienced it.....including those that had been Labour party members and trade unionists.

Shortshriftandlethal · 18/05/2025 16:25

ChocolateGanache · 18/05/2025 12:36

I mean Donald Trump understands that sex is biological there are only 2 sexes. It doesn’t mean he’s a great person to have associated with the cause and he’s sure as hell not a feminist.

What is a feminist is your view. What sort of views and opinions count?

So people filming an open public discussion where they don’t need anyone’s permission and just can film or live stream the event and is beyond control of the organised is now the organiser aligning with that group? Given the number of ‘auditors’ around on YouTube these days, and news crews, that must make life interesting.

And you think that speaking at an event where someone else is speaking is an automatic alignment? Fuck. That would make any panel discussion where people oppose other speakers pretty fucked off.

Seems to me you have an issue with thinking that everyone who speaks at an event must all be in political alignment and that any videoing is only done by those in alignment, which is a bizarre why to approach life. It is very tribal. But sure. It takes all sorts.

CassOle · 18/05/2025 16:32

Time for another musical interlude.

Annoyedone · 18/05/2025 16:33

Ooh @JustSawJohnny butif anti fa also turned up at her events doesn’t that mean she’s an anti fa? Also TRAs showed up so she must be a TRA mustn’t she?

By the way, can you link up where Kellie Jay spoke at the same event as Katie Hopkins please?

That way we can go and find the transcript if possible for what KJK said so we can see just what was objectionable about her speech at that event.

stickygotstuck · 18/05/2025 16:34

Likely a rhetorical question - are all the derails a) lack of adequate reading comprehension, b) malicious, or c) both?

Babes, you can keep trying and keep crying, I could not care less.

I will not reach to make excuses for people who are willing to accept the backing of the usual suspects - Fox News, Reform, Laurence bloody Fox - all of the shits!

If I made a statement and these arseholes came out in support I would shut that shit down ASAP. The fact that she hasn't speaks volumes for me. She is happy to be associated with them and accept their support.

My hatred for these cunts could not be greater and I will not justify anyone's associating with it or accept anyone defending it.

We clearly sit on very different sides of this and I'm fine with that.

SionnachRuadh · 18/05/2025 16:37

If we're going to do the "Cindy saw you talking to Mindy so you can't sit at our table" thing, it's laughably easy to turn this on its head.

Let's say you get an email from your union saying Stand Up To Racism are having a rally against Tommy Robinson, so you say, I don't like Tommy Robinson, and I want to be with the people who are against racism. So you go along.

If you're not plugged into these things, you may not know that SUTR is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Socialist Workers Party; that the guy who runs SUTR, Weyman Bennett, has been on the SWP Central Committee for decades; and that the SWP has a long history of covering up rape and sexual assault in its organisation.

Why are you supporting the rape enabler Weyman Bennett?

See how this works?

Helleofabore · 18/05/2025 16:38

By my reckoning KJK is aligned with Antifa, the Victorian Socialist Party, Neo Nazis, the Labour Party, the Australian Labor Party, the Green Party, the many trans lobby groups, Sarah Jane Baker, a slew of auditors, even Carly May Kavanagh. And Lesbian groups around the world. And the police forces around the world. Plus news crews around the world.

Fuck… she is aligned with everyone! How does she do it!

mrshoho · 18/05/2025 16:41

I'm getting Owen Jones vibes from certain posters. It's really quite infantile and embarrassing

Oh. So you won’t tell us the event where she shared a speaking engagement with Katie Hopkins so we can find what she said.

You just want to make untrue statements and have people think you know what you are talking about. Ok. Good to know.

rebmacesrevda · 18/05/2025 16:43

Anyone know the difference between the far right and the extreme right? A diagram would be ideal, ta.

SionnachRuadh · 18/05/2025 16:45

If it helps, the latest annual report from Hope Not Hate, who are paid money by the fucking government because they're supposed to be the experts on this sort of thing, talks about the "radical right". This seems to mean anyone slightly more conservative than Penny Mordaunt.

So often “far right” appears to be anyone not left of Trotsky.

I see. You would stop supporting woman and stop working to lift women’s voices if someone you disagreed with on many other things thought you had a good point.

Yes. We can see how that would be a great thing for the women relying on your work.

So, if you were a lobbyist for women’s rights you would avoid speaking to a government in power because they were the wrong political party and you didn’t ever want to be seen as ‘working’ with them. So, you would stop working to progress women’s rights for the years the wrong party was in power.

Good to know.

Sir Keir Starmer KCB KC MP was a Trotskyist* in his younger days, and it hasn't stopped him being lumped in with the far right when he deviates from The Message.

*Actually a Pabloite revisionist, if we're going to be pedantic
