Man pushed ahead of woman to use female toilet

BlossomIsSoPretty · 12/05/2025 20:31

This didn't directly affect me as I have use disabled toilets, but I was out earlier and there was one male, one female, and one disabled toilet. There were 3 men and 1 woman waiting. One of the men was about to go into the disabled toilet when he saw me. I have no choice but to use disabled (wheelchair user). The female toilet became vacant and the man walked towards the door. The woman waiting was quite young and looked surprised but didn't say anything. I'm far from young and used to speaking up for myself, so I pointed out that it was a toilet for females and unless I was mistaken he wasn't female. He said no but I'm desperate and went in anyway.

So not only do women have to put up with men pretending to be women, we now have a man who decided he was going to use the women's toilet anyway!

He was desperate. Would you prefer he pissed himself?

yes - if he is so immature that he can't foresee his toiletry needs and hold himself until it is his turn, then YES.

Which of course he wouldn't.

Stop making excuses for men fgs

Phonicshaskilledmeoff · 12/05/2025 22:00

Honestly, when they are separate cubicles I consider them all fair game. I mean what’s the difference. He’s not invading a women’s space, he’s using a bathroom by himself. If me or my children were waiting in a line I would just use the next available one. It’s frankly daft.

Errr... try living with a condition where the "signs" are instantaneous and there is no magic planning that can be deployed.
I find it hard to believe that the average man would choose to use the ladies any more than I "choose" to use the men's.
I am a gender critical woman and do not tolerate fetish, but I have compassion for those with incontinence needs (because I have them myself).

Then he has a disability and would be perfectly entitled to use the disabled loo. Which he didn't, as OP obviously has a real disability not a "made up to excuse a man" one for this thread

So rather than show himself to be a twat in front of someone with a disability, he preferred to push in front of a woman being, you know, A MAN WITH REAL NEEDS

LoveSandbanks · 12/05/2025 22:20

You do t know that he needed a piss you don’t know that he doesn’t have ulcerative colitis or Crohn’s disease and was just about to shit himself. You don’t know that he doesn’t have an invisible disability.

But it’s a man. I think some women won’t give it a rest until men are no longer allowed to empty their bladder at all, and they’re all dead from kidney failure.

And did this odious man know that the woman he pushed in front of wasn't similarly afflicted?

In which case he could have used the disabled.

he chose to use the women’s instead.

HaddyAbrams · 13/05/2025 00:14

I suffer with both stress and urge incontinence. It's entirely likely if he'd pushed in front of my I'd have pissed myself. I have every sympathy for anyone who suffers with incontinence, but he should have asked. Not pushed in.

smellyhouseelf · 12/05/2025 20:38

He was desperate. Would you prefer he pissed himself?

It's a grown man. He can manage his own bladder.

Note he has a bigger bladder than the woman.

And how does he know the woman isn't just as desperate?

He could have been polite, communicated and asked if others didn't mind. Generally people would say fine.

He was rude.

It doesn't matter how desperate he was. A dodgy bladder does not affect your vocal chords.

NPET · 13/05/2025 00:17

I never understand this. How does he know the woman wasn't "desperate"?
I remember being on a nature ramble or whatever they called it at school and when we finally arrived at some toilets (unisex ones), the boys pushed in first, several going in together to no doubt wet the seat.
Point is, what men - and particularly boys - don't understand is that we NEED toilets, they don't.
No I'm not suggesting that all men just unzip and aim wherever they are, but they CAN do so if necessary. We can't - not without a lot more fuss and difficulty anyway.
Sorry - very long winded way of saying I agree with the op.

I was having this conversation with dd recently. She’s noticed men often appear less able to recognise or hold it- little things like dh will suddenly he announce he needs a wee on the motorway and we have to stop next services.

I’ve known men pull over to the side of the road too. In fact last night saw a little boy at the side of a car having a pee roadside.

Whereas the girls will be like when are we stopping, and will be able to hold it until a convenient.

my theory is people are much more tolerant, and obviously it’s easier for men to pee whenever and wherever. So they never really learn how to recognise early on when they might need, and how to hold it for longer than it takes their brain to get the full bladder message.

so men it’s need wee, stop and wee. Women are need wee, need to find somewhere a) private, b) convenient to squat, c) preferably with toilet paper, and d) with clean enough floor to drop trousers.

Exactly. Men have larger bladder capacity than women, too!

I noticed that my inlaws would expect their granddaughter to hold it in all the way from the playground by their house until she got to their bathroom, but when it came to my son, they thought letting him urinate behind a tree in the playground was appropriate!

I put a stop to that. He could perfectly well make it to their house and did.

smellyhouseelf · 12/05/2025 20:38

He was desperate. Would you prefer he pissed himself?

Yes. He wouldn’t have pissed himself, he would have just had to wait. Why is he more important than the young woman? She may have been pregnant? On her period? Or just needed a wee as much as him. And it was a facility for her that became free, and he decreed himself more important and took it from her.

So yeah. I’d rather the arrogant prick pissed himself.

SpaceOfAides · 13/05/2025 00:57

Wow what a long back and forth over some silly incident. Maybe he was being an entitled dickhead, maybe he's got Crohns, or maybe just bad diarrhoea. Who knows? Who cares?

Someone, somewhere pushed ahead in the toilet queue and it's suddenly a major feminist issue. A rising of The Patriarchy we must all band together and smash. 🙄

courageiscontagious · 13/05/2025 05:38

You came across one man being selfish. Nothing to do with trans people or men in general.

Oh the DRAMA!! 😂

  • Woman: expresses a need for single sex facility and annoyance that this is being stomped all over by an entitled, self-centred dickhead.
  • Men (and handmaidens): OH MY GOD MEN WILL JUST DIE THEN SHALL THEY? MAYBE WE SHOULD JUST KILL OURSELVES AND SO YOU CAN STOP MOANING. THAT'S WHAT YOU WANT, ISN'T IT? WILL IT MAKE YOU HAPPY ONCE WE'RE ALL SLAUGHTERED?

😂

JellySaurus · 13/05/2025 08:03

So it's ok for a man to enter a woman's space because he's desperate? So if all the men's toilet in cubicles were full, it's ok for a man to enter the ladies toilets because he's desperate? And to push ahead of women waiting?

Went to a pub and outside the single ladies was a queue of three women

man walks out of the ladies and I said something as he walked away along the lines of cheeky fucker and he explained to me that he had to go to the ladies for a shit cos the gents had no seat on the toilet 😳

How do you know the young women wasn't simlarly so...but didn't feel; quite so entitled and aggressive? How do you know she wasn't bleeding or suffering cystitis?

Trans people are either male or female just like the rest of us. Adopting a label and a belief system such as 'trans' doesn't make them into a different or special kind of human being.

It surely doesn't take too much application of critical thinking to realise that quite often women, and especially younger women, do not feel quite so assertive about their needs, rights and protections. Men, generally, dominate public spaces and take up a lot more space within them than women.

Or does that not fit into your particular feminist school of thought?

Women regularly use men's toilets when the queue for the ladies is too long. Why can't it work the other way?

Men don't queue.
Theyd rather piss all over the nearest available lamppost rather than queue.

ZeldaFighter · 13/05/2025 09:45

Why didn't he ask politely if he could go before the young woman waiting?

Invisibly disabled in both bladder and / or bowel and vocal chords?

Maybe I do feel sorry for him after all.

Spoiler alert: I don't, he's clearly a twat.
