More details re the Darlington nurses. I don’t know what to say. This is outrageous. Just fucking outrageous.

All this abuse of a CSA survivor because she didn't want to get her clothes off in front of a man.

Hideous, dangerous, entitled, vile, woman-hating bellends.

Excellent summary @yourhairiswinterfire

Totally. I was going to reply to the Reddit post with, incels gonna incel, losers gonna lose.

These are the people that the previous generation would've called the dregs of society.

No wonder they fell over themselves to grab an ideology where they could stick it to women, perve on them and still be classed as 'progressive'.

I've been thinking the same.

Do these morons actually believe the drivel they post? I'm finding it hard to believe anyone could be that stupid. Which leaves us with trans issues just being an excuse to show their hatred of women.

TheOtherRaven · 11/05/2025 20:39

SidewaysOtter · 11/05/2025 19:32

It's very incel, isn't it.

And just plain misogynistic.

It never fails to amaze me how many left wing men who’d pride themselves on their progressive, inclusive and liberal politics really have an issue with women. For them, this is a “legitimate” way to express that: nasty transphobic women, they brought this on themselves and they deserve the opprobrium and hatred heaped down on them.

Edited

I find it grimly amusing how many very loud leftie types decry racism in everyone and everything and behave with such horror about it, and yet embrace misogyny and sexism so passionately. And very frequently ageism.

Prejudice is fine if it's done by the Right Sort, and oh do they love them some prejudice.

Eh, many of them are pretty racist themselves TBH.

Indeed.

The idea that orthodox jewish women and muslim women might have a problem with mixed sex facilities is an inconvenice that just gets ignored. Or worse.

Not to mention the fact that half of them claim that black women look like men.

To keep the see no evil peeps happy.

This subject is 'boring' you see.

So basically Mumsnet is complicit in stopping the sunlight getting through?

Not a good look...

To be fair to MN, for a looong time it was the only place where this sort of thing could be discussed at all, even in code. It was a balancing act for them, and maybe it didn’t always go the way we would have hoped, but let’s face it, FWS met here, so I feel they are owed a bit of leeway.

Agreed. Mumsnet have taken a shit load of flack. Advertisers pulling out. Justine was swatted. Cyber attacks. Data breaches.

I've not always agreed totally with all the decisions but they definitely deserve credit for making sure women could discuss this here.

In fairness, the other thread on this topic is STILL standing in AIBU.

Whether it will stay there I don't know, but I do think the thread subject merits staying there to get more awareness because of just how many women it could impact in various ways.

NotBadConsidering · 11/05/2025 21:15

It’s so utterly offensive, vindictive and stupid. Why on earth would HE want to be in theatre assisting an operation on someone who has made a complaint about him. Anyone sensible wouldn’t want to be anywhere near involved in a case involving a patient subject to a complaint (regardless of the type or who’s at fault) lest you open yourself up for further accusations.

I mean it’s management 101 isn’t it? Persons X and Y are in legal conflict, therefore keep them apart.

To deliberately not keep them apart is both legally stupid and vindictive, purely done to punish her for daring to complain in a non-patient capacity.

BigHeadBertha · 11/05/2025 17:03

More hyped up drama about a transperson in a dressing room/restroom/or anywhere else on the planet. Something few people have probably even ever knowingly experienced and even far fewer having been even mildy inconvenienced by. There aren't that many of them, you know, and most of them just want to be able to get through their lives in some kind of minimal comfort.

Of course, it's highly satisfying for small-minded, nasty people to single out a very small and vulnerable group that has quite enough trials and tribulations as it is (as seen in their very high suicide rate, for example). Yes, do that, amplify any tiny thing they can, shout it from the rooftops, as an excuse to pile on and bully said small, unfortunate, vulnerable group. So smug, so satisfying. So easy. You feel so very superior to them.

It's not a good look, is it.

Edited

coming here spouting this kind of tripe isn't a good look.
Get over yourself.

We know when we are in the presence of a trans person. In this case it was hard to miss due to the holy underpants with his danglies on show.

ETA: got any robust stats on the suicide rates? the TRAs have been told before: stop spouting nonsense.

There is a stunning and brave woman in this story, but it sure as hell isn’t “Rose”.

CarefulN0w · 11/05/2025 22:34

I left the NHS over a decade ago and want to say how proud I am of Karen and of thousands of women like Karen who don’t make the world all about them and instead make the world a better, safer place for others. For every lanyard wearer there are many, many Karen’s. These women are the absolute backbone of our NHS and I am thankful for them.

I believe well rotted manure is the best thing for roses.

On another note I’ve just seen that Mr Bates vs the post office was recognised at the BAFTAs. If there is a production company brave enough to make Sandie & Karen vs the NHS it would be a sure fire hit.

Do they decry racism? They like to say that if black women can use women's facilities, men should be allowed to as well because apparently there's no significant difference. And they like to exploit and trivialise race equality by claiming that single sex spaces are no different to racial segregation. That's all pretty racist.

They identify as not racist despite saying obviously racist things.

This is why of course trans activists never want to talk about real things. They always want to discuss concepts like kindness and inclusion. But when you ask ‘so what about women who perceive men with a gender identity as men and don’t want to be naked in front of them?’ they start wanging on about how we should all have individual changing rooms and communal changing rooms are out of date.

BUT WE HAVE COMMUNAL CHANGING ROOMS NOW AND LOTS OF WOMEN HAVE TO USE THEM TO DO THEIR JOB. WHAT ABOUT THOSE WOMEN?

So accurate. They’re a bunch of wet, disingenuous and gullible liars and I have no respect for them or anything they say, and here I am referring to the “benevolent flying monkeys” and not the malevolent ones, of which there are many.

Curious here, just who ARE the NHS management who are enforcing this behaviour? There’s clearly LOADS of them at many many NHS Trusts. They must blend with gen pop,go about their lives & jobs as any of us do. Do ANY of them read Mumsnet? Law of averages ,some must do,so come on,if you’re NHS management who has enforced ANY of these policies, come on here and explain yourself. If you’re SO sure you’re right tell us why,so we can understand where you’re coming from. I’m genuinely interested to know the thinking behind these decisions

Hello misogynist

women are not validation tools or human shields for men with special identities

compelling women to get undressed in front of men as part of their employment is a violation of human rights

Agree. Men need to stop.

I'm interested in this. The Mail published photos yesterday of numerous chief executives etc who have anti women / pro pervy men policies in their hospitals / police forces etc. An attempt (generated by Kellie Jay Keen from what I read) to expose those at the top who're signing off on all this.

I was thinking exactly the same last night.

i’m saddened that only GB news and the DM seem to have picked Karen’s story up, it goes to show how fucked up it all is and how blinkered people have become about the situation in the spirit of #bekind

I’m sick to death of it all

TheOtherRaven · 12/05/2025 07:49

Thank you for sharing that article: KJK putting it in blunt, absolutely accurate terms again:

'This is what happens when you get a group of people who think that they are doing the work of the greater good. It's like we don't matter to these people. They just couldn't give a toss about women and women's rights. When it comes to a [belief system] that's not based in reality, there's no place these people won't go to defend it. I hope they get sued to smithereens. You have to punish them with the full force of the law. You have got to make people pay. It's absolutely shameful.

Can you imagine being in that room saying, ''We are going to go against the Supreme Court?" It's a very quick descent into chaos. The Supreme Court has to be the final word on this. The council leaders have been brainwashed for a very long time. They are not the academic elite. These institutions play with public money. They don't face the consequences of their actions, they just waste money. They are still managing to centre the conversation around men.'

That. In a conversation about women all anyone can talk about in public services and largely in government, is men.

Point proved.

Absolutely dreadful. Why isn’t this on AIBU?

Because they all complain that they don't want this topic to be discussed anywhere but in the naughty corner. It is almost as if they don't care about the rights and safety of women and children.

Im not one of these managers but I work with a lot of them and have been thinking the same thing.

I think some of it is just sheer volume of work. It’s utterly relentless in the NHS and has been for at least the last 6 years. I don’t think they can face the battle with the TRA because they’re so aggressive & immediately go on the attack. Far easier to just say yes. Some of it is just not thinking too deeply about it as has been demonstrated numerous times on MN where people focus on the “but it’s such a small number” and ignore the fact that redefining women to include men affects 51% of the population plus I expect given the age range of most NHS senior managers they may well have children caught up in it

im only guessing because I’m not an NHS manager but I can’t believe many of them are true believers
