Greens internal drama warms up

New long article looking at the drama inside the Greens over biology suddenly existing again despite their best efforts.

How the Green Party forgot the environment and was torn apart by trans rows
It was a party united by a single mission – to save the planet. But now the gender identity debate has left it divided and in chaos

https://archive.is/TOlNx

The article is already out of date as Zack Polanski of hypnotic breasts fame has just launched a leadership bid against Deyner and Ramsey.

Emma Bateman
It's no secret that big boobs Polanski wants the top job. He is a student politics slogan churner, a self server who distains women and wants misgendering misdemeanours to be grounds for expulsion from the Greens.
He is "LGB with the T"
Still NO DEBATE!

Pro-women Greens article on his background:;
https://concernedgreens.uk/watchlist/zack-polanski/

The existence of biology is likely to be a significant part of the leadership contest for sure so interesting to watch .

Ali Shahrar has launched another legal challenge against the Greens. Gardening needed.

May 27th is the date for Emma Bateman's legal hearing against the Greens.

On May 27th I am in court against Green Party in a case which will expose the contorted lengths the Greens go to in order to shut women up.

It isn't going to go well for the Greens given the Supreme Court ruling. This could be key moment in seeing the ruling's effect on politics and directly impact the leadership contest. It will also be probably be infuriating and hilarious in equal measure.

Oh bless. Yanis "hang on in there sisters!" Varoufakis is a Polanski fan, but then skewers the concept of populism that ZP espouses

Meanwhile Polanski is retweeting his takedown of Zia Yusuf where he calls him a fascist. Including RT of him by Jackie walker who was kicked out of labour by Corbyn

The thing about Hypnoboobs is, lots of people do dumb things when they're (relatively) young. The best thing to do is own it, with a twinkle in your eye. Boris Johnson could have got away with it, no question. Zack, he's isn't quite so fleet of foot.

No that's the official account of the LGBTQ greens. It was being re blueskyed by the usual suspects.

It's the sort of meme I might share at the end of an evening when I'd been out on the skite.

Aren't the Greens supposed to be the voice of yoof? Shouldn't that require meme literacy, not just electing Ali G as your leader?

Green MP Sian Berry on the victim blaming nonsense on the TA terror tactics in Brighton.

Sian Berry

Events that inflame division and create tension should be guarded against and
BrightonHoveCC needs better policies for which events it will host in our council-owned venues.

The choice of Brighton was clearly provocative from organisers and the problems caused predictable.

Every single mosque and Catholic church in Brighton doesn't believe in trans stuff. When are they going to get attacked for being "provocative" ?

Gender Critical women meeting in a town where there are many lesbians who are perhaps amongst the most badly affected by trans militancy, is 'provocative'.

Ok then.

fromorbit · 11/10/2025 04:54

Hope someone asks ZP about this.

Shahrar Ali

Full on totalitarian rot from Brighton MP Sian Berry, who would prohibit women from hiring Council venues to discuss perfectly legitimate, legal views such as that there are two sexes or that women have a right to single-sex spaces. Apparently it's deliberately provocative.

Emma Hilton

This is almost unbelievable from Sian Berry here

Brighton is currently hosting the Filia conference #Filia25, a huge feminist meeting that attracts diverse speakers from all over the world on topics like:

Sex work
Surrogacy
Reproductive choice laws
Menopause
Domestic violence
Rape
Experiences of minority and migrant women
Medical and psychological violence
Self defence
Experiences of lesbian and bisexual women
Family law
Professional networking
…and so much more.

Last night, a group of violent trans rights activists smashed venue windows and daubed the remainder with paint, including the nonsensical motto that:

“Feminism is the refusal to define a woman”.

I mean, huh?

Instead of condemning the activists - whose intention is to intimidate and scare women in Brighton - Berry actually condemns the council for hosting the conference on one of its properties.

She says she tried to avoid the TRA violence by - the only reasonable inference - asking them to not host #Filia2025.

Ms Berry, it is 2025 and you are not allowed to cancel women speaking. Public authorities have a duty to all their constituents and facility users, and they have to obey laws.

I basically thought she’d say nothing. To say this is mind-blowing.

CarolineLucas Any thoughts?

Feminism is the refusal to define a woman as anything more than adult human female.

That allows for every possibility open to the adult human female mind.

Anything you try to add to that is reducing the palette of possibilities for women (the adult human female ones)

The carcrash interview on Piers Morgan is still being widely shared. The Greens have gone down the DSD route to try to justify it.

This is the cynical damage limitation strategy Zack & pals took 48 hours to come up with following backlash to carcrash. Doubling down on their mistake & pretending his answer was to do with DSD conditions all along. Using those rare conditions as a despicable prop for their gender ideological lunacy.
No, we knew Zack meant sex spectrum theory. He doesn't believe in binary sex & his ignorant take has gone viral. There's still room for education of course, but not if he doesn't retract his ideological lunacy first.

Zack Polanski is an effective, communicator - especially when he has a script. However he's also a liability not just for what the Green Party stands for but for politics in general. Examples from just one week of interviews:

10/10: cannot define woman, wants men to be able to infiltrate women's sport, thinks he knows better than Supreme Court [on Piers Morgan]
9/10: use of ad hominem "fascist" slurs against Zia Yusuf [BBC QT]
5/10: cannot back up fascist smears against Farage, once defined [LBC, Lewis Goodall]
4/10: cannot define inclusive/exclusive feminism or accept protected belief discrimination [C4, Cathy Newman]
03/10: will not accept antisemitic examples within own party [R4 Today, Justin Webb]

In each of these scenarios, it's Polanski who gets rattled, impatient & agitated with interviewer's line of questioning. He must know he doesn't have good answers so resorts to evasion & diversion & ad hominem attack. He looks visibly contemptuous, not a good look in a politician who wants to serve us. He may wish to call this bold, populist politics but it certainly ain't Green politics worthy of the name. It's both dangerous use of inflammatory rhetoric against other politicians & often misrepresentation of our own policy. Bold in lies & denial of reality. New members will quickly discover the dysfunction at the heart of Green Party internal governance. There is no space to discuss anything and conference has now been "temporarily" reduced to once a year. Your membership subscriptions are being squandered on defending unwinnable legal cases against true Greens. Ask questions.

He’s relying on thick people who blindly believe what charismatic people boldly say on social media. This is all his expensive theatre, private school education and hypnotist training.

Lalgarh · 12/10/2025 09:18

The fanbase already on Twitter is strong ith adulation, I can only imagine blue sky.

People are desperate to believe in someone, and they've chosen to go down the "woke Trump" model. Polanski is throwing out random policies rn for headlines and BANTER (decriminalisation of shoplifting yesterday, banning landlords and legalising drugs the other day). All feel good policies that signal how nice a supporter is.

It's like the way old trots in Respect flocked around George Galloway as leader. Great initial results. A huge energy rush and membership surge. Then the internal politics kick in.

To me, this is very interesting. It makes me wonder if Zack is less savvy than I first assumed. If this were left's equivalent of Trump (or to a lesser extent Farage) he would simply have owned what he said and doubled down on it. Some large fraction of the vote he's trying to attract demands full throated declaration that TWAW w/ or w/o penises, and they were rapturous of his performance. The people who think he's a crazed hypnoboobist, detached from material reality aren't going to vote for him anyway.

Putting it slightly differently, what made Ed Davey's performance such a catastrophe is that he obviously and self-conciously didn't believe that it might be possible for women to have penises, but can't say that because of the constraints the lib dems position.

Zack quite effectively suppressed that self-consciousness which made his interview more effective. Why try and go down that Starmer, Davey, Sturgon route of trying to square TWAW with reality?

ZP is laying up trouble for himself given the law right now. Being all in on this leaves less room for manoeuvre. His public anti-women statements could be used against him.

He has the Emma Bateman case which is hitting court sometime soon delayed from March.

Then the second Shahrar case.

Plus GWD can take legal action over being booted from conference. That is a really easy win given Plaid and Lib Dems lost similar cases.

The first Shahrar case cost approx 1 million to the Greens.

Not being an incorporated body, should be Party face bankruptcy members of the Executive and of the Regional Council will be personally liable.

That is an interesting fact.

IllustratedDictionaryOfTheDoldrums · 12/10/2025 11:13

Zack has three problems. Firstly, he really does believe this stuff. Secondly he's not really thought it tthrough. He hasn't taken the time to consider the consequences of any of his policies or how they might actually work in practice so he doesnt have an answer the moment anyone asks a difficult question.
The third may be a little uncharitable of me, but I don't think he's very bright. This means he's not going to be able to think on his feet and deflect away from the batshittery of his own policies.
I think he's had an easy ride so far. He's been in with a crowd that reinforces his own beliefs and his only real challenges have been from 'terfs' he has been largely successful in getting suspended from the party.
He's still high on his own self righteousness but already stumbling at even small hurdles.
His only choice on multiple fronts is either going to be quietly backpeddle and hope people forget or double down. He might have a chance if he learns quickly and starts quietly trying to look more sensible, but I don't think he even understands his own policies so I suspect he'll be a flash in the pan.

This chap posting that was formerly, is still, a Corbyn supporter used to dismissing any concerns over victimisation of dissenters (be they Jewish, not left enough, whatever) and he's switched wholeheartedly.

Thanks @fromorbit OP That Green Light piece mentions Polanski had a practice in Harley Street, which, call me biased, suggests he was innately in on a grift. Harley Street is an address, not a bloody qualification
