Welcome all. The booze here is minimally intoxicating, the food is calorie free and the staff are warm and cuddly. And if the thread title sounds nonsensical, blame the guy Myrtle was listening to this evening!

Fine, you can use the pool
when I’m out. But NO ICE CREAM in the pool!

Understood re the sun tan lotion fear. I suppose if you only do it when it’s raining, she’ll never clock on a thing.

May we have some fishy and veggie picnic treats please?
And ice cream.

I could make some mini bagels with cream cheese and smoked salmon with a wee frond of dill?

Can we have a fire pit?

And would we want to play games like boules or croquet?

The food sound amazing so far. I’m not a great chef, but I’m decent enough at tidying away and washing up.

And I’m good at keeping the fire going.

If we run out of space we can always tag my garden

We have croquet on our top lawn… only just big enough and no amount of rollering has managed to make it completely flat, but DH was dead excited when he ordered a proper set of mallets n hoops when our turf had been down a few months. My DS loves playing with DH. The DDogs have no idea what is going on though…

The gerbils are half way through setting things up at The Blue Stocking garden. I suppose we’ll have to see if we run out of space.

I think they’re quite excited; they do seem to love putting in a bit of a bash.

I assume Boily's table is out of shot? Far too many green things on that table for her!

They’re excited now that it’s getting dark. They’ve been looking forward to seeing the lights working. Took them ages to disentangle them.

Boiley….are you bringing a special plate of non salad, non greenery stuff?

(Thanks @Magpiecomplex Although I assumed Boiley was involved in the organising, so maybe she’s just in the pantry plating up some biscuits for the table, or something.)

I've just popped over from the 'terfs are cheats and 'snot faaaaaiiir' thread and I see the garden party organisation is well under way.
Carry on, as you were, let me know if I can do anything....<looks as useless as possible>

Why do so many of the lawn boys wear flat caps with their shorts?
And do we all hev to weah hets? It looks terribly polite.

I doubt if there'll be much sun cream left after you've ensured that all your lawn boys are fully protected from UV rays - I know you all take your Health and Safety responsibilities very seriously😏

My external space looks packed if both cats are out there. You quite literally can't swing a cat in it! The two large sheds don't help!

At this stage of the evening, it’s just corn on the cob with marshmallow on the fire pit.

They even have a production line going.

I have to hand it to the gerbils; they really are putting a lot of effort in.

See, even our gerbils are well organised!

I'll take a corn on the cob AND a toasted marshmallow thanks. I'd do it myself but Co pilot has gone on strike for me tonight. I'm just getting sorry I can't generate that at the moment!!!
