Pedro Pascal has called JK Rowling a 'heinous loser' - lovely. She can add that to 'bitch', 'fascist' and all the other offensive thoughtless nonsense that has been thrown at her

He was recently photographed wearing a t shirt that says 'Protect The Dolls'. Apparently 'dolls' is an 'affectionate' term for men who identify as trans within some parts of the LGBTQetc community

If ever we had any doubt that trans women were a sexualized fantasy version of what a woman actually is, doubt no more. How utterly grim

Have any of the original #posters taken down their posts? Or are they still full on holding the PTD tag?

I was going to espouse the phase about uneducated actors and actresses but she went to Cambridge; she’s also a dyed in the wool communist and they are very much sex realist-types.

Cambridge is incredibly woke - the head of the so called femsoc denounced the supreme court ruling and went on one of the tantrums protest marches with signs saying something like ' protect your transisters, not just your cisters' or something like that. To quote Babyshambles, clever ain't wise.

To all those saying it comes from the 1970s - my long departed dear old Grandpa (born in 1910 and a true cockney) used to call my Grandma "Doll" as a term of endearment. It was a happy memory for me until I read this thread 😅

His sibling is a trans identified male

His brother, presumably.

I remember 'doll' being used for women/girls long before the arrival of 'dollies' and 'dolly-bird' in the late 60s. As with 'bird' (from the medieval 'burd', a maiden) It does not refer to men in frocks and never has and it has also mainly been patronising e.g.'dolly bird', passing through meaning 'sweetheart', 'mistress', 'slut', 'silly woman' at various times. Appears c 1550, and Doll Tearsheet (the prostitute in Henry IV Pt 1 where it is being used to suggest a) her name is Dorothy and b) she is someone's mistress and/or a sluttish woman) is an example. 'Doll' was a diminutive of Dorothy/Dorothea (which still appears in the diminutive Dolly for those names). English frequently substitutes 'l' for 'r' in diminutives e.g. Hal for Henry/Harold (which also appears in said play - Prince Hal).
The only sense that 'protect the dolls' can refer to TiMs is that they are like child's toys, not real, made-up, facsimiles - it's deeply sexist on several levels towards women, too.

Wow. Selective anxiety is so right. Wonder if he’d need caresses from middle age overweight me? lol

BlueEyedBogWitch · 25/07/2025 04:42

Pedro Pascal is what you get when you order Burt Reynolds from Shein.

ShameTheDevil · 25/07/2025 04:49

Dolls <shudder>. This guy gives me the creeps.

BlueEyedBogWitch · 25/07/2025 04:51

IMO, ‘Protect the Dolls’ is a perfectly apt slogan…

Poor Pedro and his cis het "hot girl anxiety" that makes him compulsively tactile around his more glamorous female co stars.

all this touching on the red carpet isn’t anxiety it’s all a bit creepy imho

Tootingbec · 25/07/2025 20:41

Imagine being a highly successful man in your 50’s with such bad “anxiety” that you need to use younger female actresses as your emotional support animals.

The pawing over them - and them feeling they have to “be kind” and put up with it and in fact have to say out loud in public that they are happy to play that part.

What a creep and being played out in plain sight!

Oh, Pedro. The Supreme Court made the judgment, which was to clarify the existing Equality Act. No laws have been changed, no one has been oppressed. JKR supported For Women Scotland but she did not make any laws. She merely smoked a cigar in celebration of the confirmation of women’s sex-based rights. Pedro didn’t like that. He wants to protect the ‘dolls’ from ‘heinous loser’ women like JKR.

A heinous loser who survived domestic abuse and made a fortune writing bestselling books that got a whole generation reading; a heinous loser who helped women flee from Afghanistan, saving their lives; a heinous loser who funded a single-sex rape crisis centre in Scotland as no other such provision existed; a heinous loser who has tirelessly fought for women’s sex-based rights, understanding all too well how important these provisions are as a survivor of male violence herself.

What is a doll anyway? An inanimate object with blank staring eyes. Feminists raged against words like this being used to describe women. Do TW really want to be called dolls? If so, their misogyny is showing.

You can protect the dolls, Pedro, by making male spaces more safe and inclusive for gender nonconforming men. The dolls don’t need protecting from women, though. Even if those women might be heinous losers.

“You can protect the dolls, Pedro, by making male spaces more safe and inclusive for gender nonconforming men.”

I love everything in this entire post @CorruptedCauldron and I particularly wanted to pick up on this point. TiM’s only need to seek refuge in women’s spaces because they are not safe in men’s spaces. The real problem is men. Always.

He seemed so charming, then turned out to be yet another disappointment

Lottapianos · 26/07/2025 12:08

I saw Celeste Barber on IG wearing a 'Protect The Dolls' t shirt the other day. What a chump

That's very creepy, sleazy behaviour from Pedro Pascal. Ugh.

Likely.

Cis hom/bi then

Dimly · 26/07/2025 13:06

Jacob Anderson is wearing a "Protect the Dolls " t shirt at san Diego comic con this weekend. No self awareness at all. Such a disappointment.

Maybe he's trying to cash in on Pedro's "popularity", the idiot.

Has everyone seen this interaction with Vanessa Kirby? Watching it I felt visceral repulsion and a touch of anxiety, been there with handsy bosses, work colleagues, employees and friends and you just want to keep the peace because the costs of blowing things up are too high.

Hadn't seen that one. Agree with everything you say. That's just revolting - it's such a sleazy power move on his part, way too intimate and confronting. And what can she do but play along with it. Ugh. He's vile
