Pedro Pascal has called JK Rowling a 'heinous loser' - lovely. She can add that to 'bitch', 'fascist' and all the other offensive thoughtless nonsense that has been thrown at her

He was recently photographed wearing a t shirt that says 'Protect The Dolls'. Apparently 'dolls' is an 'affectionate' term for men who identify as trans within some parts of the LGBTQetc community

If ever we had any doubt that trans women were a sexualized fantasy version of what a woman actually is, doubt no more. How utterly grim

Did you notice JKs twitter/X header is of dolls with fluorescent hair fallen down?

AllYouGottaDoIsJustMeetMeAtTheApt · 25/04/2025 18:08

Just another angry man who doesn’t know what a woman is. I don’t think JK will be too bothered.

CarefulN0w · 25/04/2025 18:12

I’ve mostly given up on Twitter, but JKR’s own posts are possibly the only reason not to delete my account. She is so classy.

Lottapianos · 25/04/2025 18:16

@CarefulN0w , she really is, and so funny and acerbic and gorgeous too. She's an amazing woman. We've got so much to thank her for

Now it makes sense! I thought her new header was a bit odd! 😁

user101101 · 25/04/2025 18:28

I don’t get it. She won

I don’t think many people have noticed or put two and two together. I first saw the header, didn’t get it, then saw his god awful T-shirt (does he actually realise how sexist on multiple levels it is?) yesterday or the day before and then I instantly twigged.

2024onwardsandup · 25/04/2025 18:32

His sibling is a trans identified male

Gymnopedie · 25/04/2025 18:41

I just read this and came on here to find it or post it.

Doesn't the fact that they call themselves dolls just expose everything that is wrong about them?

(If anyone seriously called me a doll they'd better not have any plans for their next birthday.)

She’s fantastic.

As for the men doing this other stuff. Sounds bad.

I struggle to think of a greater gap between losing at life and winning at life between million-selling, unfathomably wealthy, philanthropic and widely respected champion of rights JKR and whoever Pedro Pascal is and whatever supporting roles he has played

Ha ha - Excellent point! Poor Pedro (whoever he is).

OuterSpaceCadet · 25/04/2025 19:49

Why can't this dude protect his brother and others like him by helping men's spaces become more inclusive?

His t-shirt is simply ordering women to do the work.

And "dolls" eh. I'm pretty sure there's quite a lot a transwomen out there who wouldn't get called this. But it's ok let's still continue to sell them an utterly unobtainable dream.

CorruptedCauldron · 25/04/2025 19:56

Oh, Pedro. The Supreme Court made the judgment, which was to clarify the existing Equality Act. No laws have been changed, no one has been oppressed. JKR supported For Women Scotland but she did not make any laws. She merely smoked a cigar in celebration of the confirmation of women’s sex-based rights. Pedro didn’t like that. He wants to protect the ‘dolls’ from ‘heinous loser’ women like JKR.

A heinous loser who survived domestic abuse and made a fortune writing bestselling books that got a whole generation reading; a heinous loser who helped women flee from Afghanistan, saving their lives; a heinous loser who funded a single-sex rape crisis centre in Scotland as no other such provision existed; a heinous loser who has tirelessly fought for women’s sex-based rights, understanding all too well how important these provisions are as a survivor of male violence herself.

What is a doll anyway? An inanimate object with blank staring eyes. Feminists raged against words like this being used to describe women. Do TW really want to be called dolls? If so, their misogyny is showing.

You can protect the dolls, Pedro, by making male spaces more safe and inclusive for gender nonconforming men. The dolls don’t need protecting from women, though. Even if those women might be heinous losers.

allstarsuperstar · 25/04/2025 20:37

JKR's headings are typically related to the book she's working on so this may just be a coincidence.

localnotail · 25/04/2025 21:32

"Dolls", really? How demeaning.

I know, but it was just slightly too much of a coincidence. I don’t know about JK, or you but ‘dolls’ rather irked me. What a sexist, smirking little creep Pedro is.

That and he encouraged his very young and autistic costar to wear a breast binder for most of a 9 month shoot, and then come out publicly as ‘non-binary’; something she now has said she regrets doing. He’s a wrong’un.

VeryQuaintIrene · 26/04/2025 00:08

Who even is he?

PersephoneSeethes · 26/04/2025 00:22

VeryQuaintIrene · 26/04/2025 00:08

Who even is he?

This past years ‘biggest Hollywood actor’, he was in GoT, Narcos, and The Last of Us, to name a few. It’s a shame, because he’s a very good actor.

Radionowhere · 26/04/2025 00:30

Yes re dolls. Awful.

Screamingabdabz · 26/04/2025 00:35

I actually rate him as an actor but what a shame he’s gone down this women-hating wormhole. Why do all the celebs with trans relatives seem to turn on women? What did we do apart from say no? Baffling.

aylis · 26/04/2025 00:55

Pedro Pascal is the living embodiment of the ick.

There's some clothing company that just happened to have an ad with a woman and the tagline 'not a doll'. Works on multiple levels but of course... It's being trashed as transphobic.

Too right, loves himself just a little bit too much.

sadmillenial · 26/04/2025 01:25

if you are going to criticise then at least look up the relevant history!
Dolls is a term from 70s/80s LGBTQ+ ballroom culture that was used affectionately, but there isn't a single person I know of who is using it now to describe the entire community!
If we can say "bears", "twinks", "otters", "lipstick", "butch" etc without any pearl clutching then we can have "dolls".... get over it
