...while your policies and refusal to act actively harm and kill us.

Is there another way to act ?

I really hope this is real. It reads as if someone asked Chat GPT to come up with a letter of trans demands in the style of a raving lunatic, with an undertone of menace.

zanahoria · 24/04/2025 21:45

SerafinasGoose · 24/04/2025 21:35

It has to be a parody! Surely, surely, this can't be real ...

Do you mean this article?

or trans activism in general?

PronounssheRa · 24/04/2025 21:50

This is an absolute joy, every single word is absolutely bonkers.

I can't believe people actually put their names to it.

EdithStourton · 24/04/2025 21:52

Merrymouse · 24/04/2025 19:13

"The illegitimate Hodge Ruling from the Supreme Court last week was the final step too far."

I don't know who any of signatories are, but they aren't going to get very far with that.

Rick from The Young Ones really should have matured beyond writing drivel by now...

'References to ‘father’ and ‘mother’ should be replaced with gender neutral terms on birth certificates.
Rick, my lad, how do you think something like that is going to play with 90% of the population?

ETA, I've just read a bit more and it is completely unhinged.

SerafinasGoose · 24/04/2025 21:53

zanahoria · 24/04/2025 21:45

Well, I meant the open 'letter'. But now you come to mention it, your post has sobered me. We can laugh, and think this BS beyond parody. But our country's key public institutions have been swallowing this very same crap for years.

If this is actually real - and I've heard crazier since they came to prominence - they scare me. I'm afraid that, as their extinction burst plays out, more women will end up being assaulted or worse. I can't help wondering where this will lead, unless it really is a temporary fad that will eventually peter out.

Yes, trans people have doubtless always existed. But never before have they been like this.

Livelovebehappy · 24/04/2025 21:53

Why do trans come accross as intellectually challenged? It sounds like it’s been thrown together by a stroppy teen. They should go with the mantra; better to remain silent and be thought stupid than to speak and remove all doubt….

MummBRaaarrrTheEverLeaking · 24/04/2025 21:53

I've seen it being tweeted a few times today, and I didn't really want to look at it because I thought it would just be a general nothing whine - but bloody hell that was completely unhinged! They all need a nice cup of warm milk, a rusk and a calm down. A very good laugh though.

"Willow Liquorice" 😂😂😂😂😂

I proper snorted.

Talkinpeace · 24/04/2025 21:56

Support animals have nothing on that

ClairDeLaLune · 24/04/2025 21:57

Why hasn’t Hugh Janus signed it?

BiologicalRobot · 24/04/2025 21:57

The whole ruling is beyond corrupt, and represents a gross miscarriage of justice that needs to be independently investigated by the international courts.
Hmmmmm... what was Brexit largely won on? Oh yes, sovereign rights.

Definitely has an air of The Young Ones about it, but if it was actually written by the first signatory then I believe it, he was nuts in the other court case.

Edit - I assume IndiaW isn't on it purely because it's too nuts even for him!

  • The right for transgender prisoners to be housed in accordance with their lived, experienced sex or gender, limited only where the offender is known to be violent or a violent sex offender, where the establishment of specific third spaces should be used.

There is some mad stuff on the list but this position is not as mad as Lisa Nandy's ideas on the subject and she is a government minister

Exactly my point. While you're all falling about and laughing, the Green Party are copy pasting for their next manifesto.

TheOtherRaven · 24/04/2025 21:59

Well you never know, it might actually save them five minutes in which to think about the environment.

Waitinggame42023 · 24/04/2025 21:59
  • Extension of available gender affirming treatments available on the NHS, including but not limited to:
  • Breast augmentation where HRT doesn’t provide sufficient growth.
  • 200 hours of electrolysis
  • Facial surgery where desired
  • Any gender non-conforming surgeries

And yet women all over the country are refused treatments like electrolysis for hormone imbalances, PCOS etc. So a man's demands to fake a feminine image trump corrective treatment for women.

And couples all over the country are being denied fertility treatment as recommended in NICE guidelines. But no, let's fund these twisted desires and bratty demands.

Waitinggame42023 · 24/04/2025 22:00

When I was undergoing a referral for fertility treatment, I made the unsettling discovery that whilst my public sector workplace has no policy to support couples undergoing fertility treatment (other than for managers to 'try to be understanding')- 'transitioning' persons get 13 weeks fully paid leave in any given 1 year period. At that point in time, miscarrying women and parents with babies in NICU got less UNPAID leave.

This letter is a frightening display of entitlement, but be under no illusions, they're already being pandered to in many places.

That worries me too.
I read that list of signatories and had to remind myself, as I itched to take the piss out of some of the names, that these were all human beings trying to make their way in the world.

The trans lobby has a fuck-ton to answer for, and sucking in young people, many of them in someone way vulnerable, is one of them.

And they in turn become the trans lobby. It's a horrible mess.

Could not find it with either hand

EastCoastDweller · 24/04/2025 19:18

You beat me to it. If this is the quality of their campaigning I don’t think we have much to worry about. It should be advertised as widely as possible. I’ve tried to establish if it is genuine and it seems it is.

The author is said to be the man who lost a court case to have his "non-binary" identity recognised. He also claims to have had an extra hole surgically installed near to his pe‍nis. Can anyone confirm? I can’t keep track of it all.

From The Independent - "When Covid lockdowns arrived in the UK, they were able to experiment more freely, leading them to come out on Facebook and begin hormone replacement therapy (HRT). Eventually they underwent surgery to construct a new vagina while preserving their penis – a rare but increasingly requested option that they liken to “taking bits of gender from both the M and the F menu”."

The mind boggles on what on earth they've had done.

Lose Willy Wonka GIF

Was whoever was involved in writing that channelling Violet Beauregarde?

ScotGov/Mr Beauregarde- “Alright Judges ‘ow much for the Women’s rights?”

Judges/Wonka - “They are not for sale.”

This covers treatments for blokes, with a wee cover-all thrown on at the end

Surely if it's all about equality, then women and men should get access to the same, equivalent treatment or a cash sum to the value of the same amount in cases where someone isn't happy with their body in someway.

Then we can all be taxed to oblivion to pay for it all.

murasaki · 24/04/2025 22:08

It's becoming harder and harder to argue that this isn't a mental health issue. Not that I ever did.

ChateauMargaux · 24/04/2025 22:09

I wish that there was a similar letter -

Dear Supreme Court Judges,

Thank you for clarifying that sex means biological sex, for the purposes of the Equality Act.

We can now go to our places of work, study, sport and social outings, knowing that when we walk into a female toilet, we are unlikely to meet a male person there. When we join a group for women, we can expect that to include only women. When we see that 50% of board members are women, we will know that these are biological women. When we enter competitions, put ourselves forward for awards, we will know that we are competing against other women. When we seek health care, we will be able to speak clearly about women's bodies, we will be able to ask for women to perform our intimate care and we can ask to share space with other women.

We look forward to the day when we can meet openly without the threat of violence, being shouted down or having our gatherings cancelled and we hope that the government, the police, employers, the NHS, all see that our voices and our needs are worthy of respect, support and protection.

.....

Yup, can i use mine on Brazilian blow-drys as my frizzy hair makes me unhappy?

NotBadConsidering · 24/04/2025 22:12

If everyone who knows what a woman is was disappeared, Thanos-style, then the environment would dramatically improve because there would only be a couple of thousand people left on the Earth.

Of course they’d all be hopeless, with no real-life skills with which to sustain themselves and would quickly demise from the inability to do essential tasks like make fire, and reproduce.

With regards the original “demands”, they want seven “full investigations”. Seven! Hilarious.
