a list of men or companies who have stood up for us

Like so many here, I have been disheartened by the lack of support from so many famous men, those I liked and or admired are now and will forever be in my blacklist. Same for companies.
This whole experience has been so hard and I thank all the incredible women who carried on and spoke for us...
However, who are the men who were on our side? Andrew Neil? Piers Morgan? There aren't many but would love to hear some names of those who put women first...

@Hwi

Bloody hell, you're at it again with your homophobic bullshit!

"Not all gay people abandoned us." 🙄

Gay women have been leading this fight from the beginning! Allison Bailey, Kathleen Stock, Julie Bindel, Martina Navratilova, Scottish Lesbians- and they're just the high-profile ones. And Andrew Doyle is far from the only gay man who has been on the side of women- James Dreyfuss and Gareth Roberts are just two of the gay men who have been outspoken on this issue.

Shahrar Ali (ex-Green Party)

Jordan Peterson -spoke the truth from the start and didn't back down, even though his career and reputation were at stake.

Caitlyn Jenner - stated that he is and always will be biologically male and that it wasn't fair for trans women to compete in female sports.

Yet Caitlyn Jenner uses female toilets. Been seen coming out of them.

They are in a difficult spot, because they essentially go after people in power, and then humilliate them i.e. punching up.

I am not sure I buy that to be honest

@2021x & @PyongyangKipperbang

As I said on another thread, Private Eye know that they can go after people in power with no fear of repercussions. The worst that could happen would be a threat of libel which they would relish.
However the trans movement are a different matter. Look at the hatred and terrifying threats aimed at those who have stood up to them.

Endthisshit · 21/04/2025 07:50

BG not very bright.

Appalonia · 21/04/2025 07:58

Elon Musk buying Twitter and unbanning pp like Glinner, Posie Parker etc and allowing free speech was pretty huge.

Fear go a long way in silencing people, it why it's so important open discussion happens.

Endthisshit · 21/04/2025 08:05

Canceelled my PE sun long ago but they keep sending it and I return with a suitable message on the envelop😂 it’s dying anyway they can’t even sell it anymore so sending for free lol

Motherknowsrest · 21/04/2025 08:06

Robert Webb. He got so much aggro for it when he appeared on SCD. And I hope he's doing OK now after his heart issues.

Saw the title of the thread and was also coming on to say Robert Webb.

That would make sense, I just don’t know how they would do it without it looking like they were taking the piss out of the general public.

But you are right, being threatened with libel is not the same as having shit and piss thrown at you. Also HIGNFY has been staying away from it, that’s why I thought it was something to do with satire.

moggerhanger · 21/04/2025 08:20

Has anyone mentioned Grayson Perry? Not so much for active support, but for being open and honest about why he cross-dresses (and thus shining a light on something TRAs would prefer to not be illuminated).

Tom Swarbrick

Brian Cox the physicist stood up for jkr

I did not know about Brian Cox the physicist - surprised as he works closely with Robin Ince who is a trans-rights ultra.

Brian Cox the actor though I'm sure has been fairly pro-women.

Mwnci123 · 21/04/2025 08:47

I can't believe I forgot to
mention Lachlan Stuart!

https://www.rollingstone.co.uk/music/news/alice-cooper-transphobic-gender-identity-bathrooms-32277/

I wonder if you can spot the preconceived bias from the writer.....

This interview perfectly highlights what absurd times we are living through. Alice Cooper makes some very sensible points about letting children explore who they are, their sexuality etc before labelling them with an identity, but according to the interviewer these are right-wing, anti-trans talking points 🙄

LittleBigHead · 21/04/2025 09:12

But he's married to Gia Milinovich, who has been cancelled several times for her basic feminist stance. She writes great blogs!

The ludicrousness of this has just made me laugh so much that I did the clichéd spitting my coffee out thing.

These peoples minds must be so warped to see such basic common sense logic as a rightwing, anti trans stance.

Gia Milinovich, BC-physicist's wife, is outspokenly GC and used to challenge his friends on twitter! I don't think she posts there anymore though.

GreenwayHouse · 21/04/2025 09:14

Has anyone mentioned Rod Liddle yet? He’s described the trans right movement as “idiocy” for a while.

YourAmplePlumPoster · 21/04/2025 09:18

Matt Walsh "What is a Woman?"
George Galloway.
Matt Goodwin.

Angelabdc · 21/04/2025 09:20

Al Murray, I believe, but he's fairly low key about it, which maybe is not the purpose of this thread

RedXheart · 21/04/2025 09:34

I notice a few posters eschewing some of the men opposing Trans “rights” as right wing.

These days I consider myself to be right-wing I suppose, in the sense that I consider myself to be in touch with reality.

Unfortunately it seems to me the left have got completely lost in a fantasy world, living in an imaginary parallel universe. As a result, the view that a man can be a woman is one of many harmful untruths that have been foisted on us. Often the fear of appearing “unkind” or “right wing” meant lots of people went along with the madness. I think it also took a while for the dangerous and insane aims of Stonewall to become clear.

Livelovebehappy · 21/04/2025 09:35

I guess it’s really difficult for people in the public eye to put their voices out there, because of the backlash they would get from the vile militant trans lobbyists, and their supporters. Look at what happened to JK Rowling - the way she was treated and spoken to on social media was absolutely awful. She’s clearly a strong woman and coped with it well. She doesn’t need to work, as has millions tucked away, so any backlash from trans supporting TV/media would likely not affect her too much. But some in the public eye might not have that financial safety net, or they may have been afraid to expose their families to any backlash. And you only have to see the pictures of some of the deranged trans community yesterday in Parliament Square to see what we’re dealing with.
